I gobbled up this book! I fell in love with this amazing urban fantasy, the setting/plot/characters were so well written. I moved through this book quickly and didn’t want to put this book down until the very end. If you are looking for a book that pulls you into its dark allure with magic and secrets, twists and turns and give you the feels through the book—this book is for you! I cannot wait for the next book to come out so I can dive right in and get lost in this world once more. I will forever purchase/read/recommend anything by Cassandra.

I enjoyed this book and with a few tweaks it could easily be a 5 star read.

I thought that this book had a good plot overall, but it was a little confusing in places to keep up with who was who as there was a lot of detail in the book. Luckily it didn’t bog down the story too much but I did skip some of the pages and I was pleased when the story picked back up.

The book had magic and romance.

It is 4 stars from me for this one – a little too much detail in places but a great read overall!

I loved Aston’s writing was engaging and descriptive.
I thought the world building was fantastic.
And the characters were fascinating and well written.
The storyline is unique and intriguing with a lot of action, suspense and twist and turns.
I’m ready to start book two!

I loved this book! This is one of my favorite books of the year. Creepy house, demons, dead people, mystery and a love story. What more could you want?! The story is complex without being confusing and dramatic without being soul crushing. This is a GREAT read and I need the second book yesterday.
