The Montgomery family reunites for a giant family vacation over the holidays. There are so many personalities and stories to keep readers on their toes.
I read this book as a standalone and it definitely was not meant to be one. There are just too many characters and families to keep straight. I was definitely a little lost. With that being said, I thought it was really well written and would have been fun conclusion to the series.

I did not realize that this was book 10 in a series however I was able to follow along just fine. I thought this was a very heartwarming and wholesome Christmas book. I loved the family dynamic and how it showed very realistic family problems and how they went about resolving them. Although I have not read any other books in the Montgomery series that book has peaked my interest to read them. It also left a nice segway into the next books main character's story/

So I didn’t finish this story. I didn’t get very far at all for a couple of reasons. While the blurb mentions the big family gathering, I did not connect that this was (I think) a “reunion” type books of past characters from this author. I have never read anything by this author. Interconnected standalones are not an issue but this wasn’t quite that. Within the first 7 chapters I met at least 4 families and probably a dozen children. Keeping them straight on audio was going to be a feat. The next thing that bothered me was that this multi pov novel was narrated only by a male narrator. I’ve read multi pov books narrated only by female narrators before but this was an odd creative decision to me. Finally, the narrator seemed to be on a mission to make this book as bland as possible. I just couldn’t do it.

This was a great story with the whole Montgomery Clan together. This story reacquainted you with each of the Montgomery children who now have their own children. Each of them are experiencing changes in their lives that will lead to them examining their family life and making changes.
William Montgomery credits himself with being the reason each of his children having the mates they are with. Now he is looking at the next generation and finding the right mates for his grandchildren.

So I’ve read Samantha Chase before, and her books are sweet!
But, I believe this is the first “Montgomery Brothers” book I’ve read, so, there’s a bit of catching up to do.
There are a lot of people involved in this novel.
One big (mostly) happy family…gathering together for the holidays to 1. Work and 2. Spend time together. ❤️
Again, a lot of siblings, kids, grandkids…but beautiful family scenes here!
We have people from all walks of life, which makes it all the more interesting, as well as those involved in the family business.
AND…Apparently the older Montgomery’s have done some terrific match making in the past, and are up to it again. 🤣
Snow scenes. Dinner around the table scenes. Snowman making scenes…and more…all while away on vacation at a rental that sounds stunning! And did I mention one of the family is a famous chef? So, great meals too!
But as with every family, there are problems…
Apparently this is book #10, so I have some major catching up to do, but that said, very sweet Holiday Read with great family ties.
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me!
Thanks to #NetGalley and #DreamscapeMedia for an ARC of the audiobook which was read beautifully by #KevinTCollins.

Thanks for reading!! 📖📚

This book was super cute and a fun start to the holiday season. I hadn’t read the first 9 in the series, so I was a little confused at first, but once I got into it, the background of all the characters was explained well, and you really CAN read it as a standalone. Kevin Collins was a great choice for narrator. My only gripe is the third person POV, as it isn’t my favorite, but I see why it’s necessary with how many characters there were.

It's Montgomery Mayhem! The entire Montgomery family and a few extras are under one roof for Christmas for two weeks which means over 50 people and lots of emotions, mayhem, fun and accidents are sure to be had! This was my first foray into the Montgomery world and what an introduction it was! It was so awesome to have one book cover so many different couples' perspectives at once. I felt like I got a crash course in the family, much like the character Noah did as well! Being an OCD reader, it pains me to read a book out of order, but this book sounded good, had a Christmas theme which I was in the mood for and was readily available to me so I jumped on it. I am so very glad that I did! I can't wait to go back and read the books in order and really dive into the Montgomery family deep end! Which means that I have 9 books waiting for me to devour! I am so ready to get started. The characters are so relatable and charming while being wildly diverse in personalities that I can't wait to get to know the entire family even better and I would bet we are just getting started as I feel there has to be a future book for Noah as well! If you want a good, clean romance with a hint of steam then this series needs to be cued up and on your TBR list! FYI: This book is available in audiobook so I would bet the entire series is as well. The audio was fantastic so I can't wait to hear even more!

Ok, if you’ve read the rest of this series this is probably a really good book. However, I haven’t read the rest of them and as a standalone this one was only ok. There was a lot going on with all the families and it felt hard to keep them all straight. It did make me want to read the others though because mention of history seemed interesting. Maybe I’ll come redo this after trying to catch up on the others.

Thanks Dreamscape Media LLC and NetGalley for the audiobook version of this book. And thanks to Samantha Chase as well.
This book was a well-read cute Christmas story. It did have some romance but mainly it was a revistation of the Montgomery family. All of them. The setting and concept (giant family gathering in a gorgeous mansion complete with a movie theater and three outdoor hot tubs, an indoor pool and probably anything else you can imagine) was lovely.
I’m new to the Montgomery crew. They seem like fun people but there are a lot of them. That’s my only issue with the book - with all the Montgomery siblings, grandchildren, aunts/uncles, cousins I didn’t feel I got to know them well enough as characters. I like that the author did make them distinguishable and they didn’t blend into each other but I could have used a bit more. But…to the readers who know and love the family this is probably lovely for them.

It was so much fun to catch up with the Montgomery family as everyone is able to be together to celebrate the holiday season. Not only do we get to see how life has unfolded with the couples we have come to know but we get to spend a little time with their children as well.
A family this large is not without their challenges as they find themselves facing changes in their lives and wondering what the future holds but the one constant is the love and support they show each other. William returns to his roots, and I hope that we get the opportunity to see him interfere in his grandchildren’s romantic lives as they continue to grow up.
This is a heartwarming story about the power of love, the importance of family and realizing that those are the things that really matter.

My favorite holiday audiobook so far this year. This was my first time reading a Montgomery book but I will definitely be reading more of them now. Perfect if you are looking for a cute Christmas book!

Samantha Chase has slowly become one of my favorite authors. Every time I read one of her books I feel like I’m in the story seeing everything go down myself. I love her writing, she does such a great job pulling us in, gives enough details about everyone and everything without it going on and on for several chapters. And with this story she did not disappoint.
I stayed awake from 12am-4am listening to this story non stop just so I wouldn’t have to put it down. It was so worth it. The pacing was great, the characters blended perfectly together. This book could easily be a movie, it gives sort of those Family Stone feels. Not the same plot I know but the whole drama filled moments. Which is one of my favorite films.
I loved this book, I wouldn’t change a thing about it and have zero complaints. It was so good.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media for my advanced listeners copy in exchange for my review. This audiobook narrated by Kevin T. Collins was the perfect start to my holiday reads! Collins had the enormous task of narrating a book with 50+ characters, yet he seamlessly performed the wide variety of characters with distinguishable differences. I am a newcomer to Chase’s romance reads, yet she provided enough context for each couple to listeners were not missing key parts to the backstory; however, I think the true magic will be for readers who have read additional books in the series. The actual s tory had the perfect snowy setting in the NC mountains over the weeks between Christmas and New Years when the entire Montgomery clan comes together in a huge cabin. Grandchildren create mischief, couples find ways to connect (or have drama), and the patriarch continues his ‘matchmaking’ ways. There was just enough drama, plot surprises, and budding romance to move the story along. Combined with the setting, this book give off strong Hallmark movie vibes that I think romance readers will adore.

This turned out to be an amazing few days spent with the Montgomery clan! At first, I thought it would be a bit daunting because this family goes way back and I wasn’t sure I’d connect with some of the older couples from way back in the day, but it turned out to be a smooth delightful ride all the way thru!
You can’t really have a family get-together of this size and expect no hiccups or that everything will be smooth sailing and in this, Samantha wrote a realistic and relatable tale full of hope and love, a little anger and some jealousy, thoughtfulness and generosity, excitement and intensity, shenanigans here and there and a whole lot of holiday magic! And of course, William is still trying to do his thing! *wink* lol
Narration wise, this is a first for me, not just in the person narrating, but also the length in 3rd person POV. It’s not really my favorite of ways to experience an audiobook and I did pause my listening more often than I usually would. I couldn’t say with certainty whether listening or reading this story would be better because I haven’t actually read the story, but my gut tells me I might have probably gotten a bit more lost in the story and not paused so much had I been reading it. It’s a me thing. *shrug*
Performance Rating: 3.5 STARS
Story Rating: 4 STARS
Thank you Dreamscape Media & NetGalley for this ALC!

This was a cute holiday read! I have read a few of the previous books so i recognized some of the names. There are ALOT of characters to keep track of though. Overall, very enjoyable. 3.5 stars.

This is a fun Christmas book that gives us all of the Montgomery joy! While there are other couples that have previously come to be in previous books, I didn’t feel lost when listening to this!
The narrator is a new to me narrator, but I felt like she did a great job for this story!
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ALC of this title.

This was a fun festive book for the holidays! This was actually my first read of the series, and I definitely missed out on many backstories of the family. There was a recap to each of the couples included, but even so, I could tell there was context and depth that I missed by jumping in so late in the series.
As far as this book goes, it was fabulous with highs and lows for this large family. It reminded me of a hallmark story x20 with the “love in the air” feel throughout. I loved the budding love story between Lily and Noah (despite the unlikely pairing for the opposites) and the adopted baby that was doted on by all, so heartwarming! A couple times I felt like the problems facing this family were very superficial based on their abundance of wealth (which I don’t necessarily relate to) but so enjoyed the different family members and the relationships formed.
I received this book in exchange for a review from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, thank you!!

Thank you @dreamscapemedia @netgalley for this fun holiday read. I have not read this series so I was unfamiliar with all the characters. This book had total Hallmark movie vibes. There are a lot of characters to keep up for an audiobook but it still kept me entertained. Because of the abundance of characters, there's no character development and really just see how they spend their time together. There's a little bit of drama and overall an entertaining read.

A Merry Montgomery Christmas was the perfect way to kick off my 2 month holiday reading marathon. I have never read any of The Montgomery Brothers books by Samantha Chase but , this author did a good job recapping all of the couples and families’ in the beginning, that I didn’t feel lost or confused as the story progressed.
It truly had all the makings of a perfect Christmas season cozy romcom- matchmaking, a big family, a little family/marital drama, a surprise baby, with a some added forced proximity. It instantly got me in the spirit to celebrate.
Coming from a big family myself, I know how hard it can be to make everyone’s schedules align but the book showed how worth it, it is in the end.
More than anything, I completely adored William Montgomery and how much he loved his family, the pride he took from his part in making his children and grandchildren happy, truly melted my heart.
This being my first Montgomery book and there being so many characters I feel like the audio version was a little hard to follow at times. The narration was good but for one person to narrate 50+ characters, is no easy feat.
If you are a Hallmark movie lover like me, then you will LOVE A Merry Montgomery Christmas!

This was such a great book. It is book 10 in a series. However, I had no issues with loving this book or knowing the characters without first reading the other books. I loved all the family and the individual characters. The author did an amazing job introducing the characters so new readers can still enjoy the book. I loved all the drama and watching out it all unfolded. This family shows how to be a family and realizing compromises and seeing other points of view are important. I will be looking into this series now and can't wait to find out more about these characters.
