this is an amazing way to describe and educate littles on how to be nice and kind to people. it also can be a really big teachable moment about intuition and feeling out empathy or other feelings from people. there's so much that can really be touched upon with this book. AND ALSO OMG THE PICTURES ARE THE CUTEST THINGS IN THE WHOLE WORLD!

This book was great. Are you up with the Beach Boys and Good Vibrations? That song played in my head the entire time I was reading this. As an adult, I found myself talking about good vibes: Bad vibes, good vibes, and vibes others give off, but what exactly are vibes? This book attempts to explain that in a way that children can understand, and it does a fantastic job. It takes a feeling of energy and gives it a definition and an action to help spread them. The cover is a little unassuming, but the illustrations inside give this reader very good vibes. The Beach boys would be proud.

While the premise is simple, the delivery and illustrations are lovely and easy to understand. The vibes are represented by wavy lines radiating out from the characters with different colors, and the expressions on character faces reflect the vibes being projected. A quick book presenting an alternative (or addition to) the power of thoughts and prayers.

Thanks NetGalley for the advanced reader copy. The vibes book is a wonderful way to introduce kids to the concept of being aware of others and their feelings. I especially love the way it talks about sending out good vibes into the world.

I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand, it's a nice way to introduce the idea of sending positive energy out into the world. The images are cheerful and kids who are naturally able to share positive energy will appreciate this idea that good vibes can do good things in the world.

However, there's nothing in this book about how to manage difficult emotions, which is when a child would be sending out "bad vibes." There is one page that says "try not to send out bad vibes because they won't feel good to other people or to you." There's a missed opportunity there. Kids do well when they can, and I'm concerned this book perpetuates the idea that challenging feelings and behaviors can just be turned off at will. It's much more complicated than that.

It's a cute little book and I think it will appeal to some kids and families.

i had such high hopes for this book!
Unfortunately it fell so flat for me. The premise of the book is great and maybe for older children it is great.
But sadly for me and my kids this one was hard to keep their attention.

It flowed just fine and had vibrant pictures.
the message was a powerful one.

Thank you Netgalley and publishers for this ARC copy for review purposes

This book explained the concept of vibes. I am probably going to wait awhile to read it to my now four year old. The concept is great but it is very definite on if you give good vibes you will △⃒⃘lways have them returned and I love the idea of that but my kid takes everything very seriously and I don’t want to confuse him before he understands what goes around comes around and all.

This little book does a wonderful job of explaining vibes to children. As adults we just assume everyone knows about good and bad vibes. What a good book to read aloud to a classroom to encourage caring about each other and getting in touch with feelings!

I absolutely ADORE this book! It is so unique, yet approachable and age-appropriate. For a topic that can be so complex, Hannah Clark breaks down good vibes and bad vibes in this sweet children's book. The illustrations are the cherry on top to the simple, yet effective communication of the book's message. I 10/10 would love to have a copy in my own household, as well in my preschool classroom. Lots of praise for this one!
