A cute little recipe book. My sister was the one who really introduced me to bubble tea, so this was a nice way to expand my knowledge and let me try making my own concoctions. Some experimentation led to...interesting results, let's say, but it was a lot of fun and I enjoyed myself. I'm gonna try some more recipes and see what happens. I'm especially looking forward to trying out the Strawberry Milk Tea and some other specialty drinks.

This is such a cute book with some great illustrations! My daughter had a blast trying out the drinks and finding a favorite (no surprise, she did not find one). As well as being fun, this is a nice way to bond with your kids and spend more quality time with them.

I love boba, so of course I had to read this book! Inside, you will find 60 recipes that have their own adorable drawing to accompany them. It starts out with how to brew tea and make your own boba (aka tapioca balls) before jumping to some staples, like making sweeteners, syrups, and jellies from scratch. Honestly, this book has me ready to go out and buy what I need to make my own boba drinks from scratch tomorrow!

The recipes are easy to follow and like I said earlier, they have adorable drawings to go with them. Once you get far enough into the book, you will find recipes for a good variety of drinks. Whether you want to make milk tea, fun fruit teas, or any kind of specialty drink, this is your book! It’s a really cute and fun way to learn how to make these drinks at home. My favorite boba drink is milk tea boba, and I’m so excited to possibly make it in the near future after making some of the more simpler drinks (like regular milk tea and such).

I can't wait to get a physical copy of this book! It's absolutely adorable with really fun illustrations and tons of great information and recipes. It's laid out really well and seems very easy to follow. I recently got a boba making kit to ease myself in and I'm already looking forward to going deeper with this book. There are recipes for everything to the jams and syrups to the individual boba flavors themselves. What a fun little cookbook!

An absolutely beautiful illustrated book which truly inspires you to try new bubble tea recipes. As a long time lover of bubble tea this made me even more interested in trying new combinations that I haven't thought about prior. There's also some super simple recipes for jam and syrups which really elevates the drink compared to store bought ingredients.
All in all a truly great cook book which you can easily enjoy alone or as a way to spend time as a family

This is an amazing and super cute book on bubble tea. The drawings in the book are so cute and pleasing to look at. It has recipes for drinks and ingredients that I knew about previously but also has ones I was not aware of. Like the almond butter milk tea. I also wasn't aware stuff like basil seeds or chia seeds were used in bubble tea. I'm so excited to try all the drinks and the add-ons.

This book is absolutely gorgeous and gives us everything we need to know about Boba in a fun, cute way.

I really appreciated the detailed information which took us through how to make the boba, the syrups, which milk to choose and how to mix juice blends. It gave so many options and I look forward to trying them all out.

The boba recipe, probably the most important one in the book, was pretty tricky and I think it will take quite a few tries before we get it right.

This would make a fantastic gift to anyone who loves boba as much as our family does!

I decided I wanted to actually make one of the recipes in this book before I review it to be thorough - because looking at the other reviews I couldn't find a single one where someone had made a recipe from it, everything was just "5 stars - the art is super cute!" and like, yeah, the art IS cute. If I gave it a rating just on looks alone I'd say 4 stars. BUT actually following the recipes? I'd give it 1 star.

I went out and bought what I needed to make the boba balls and was going to make one of the fruit teas. But the boba recipe (which you need as a starting point for every single recipe) did not work for me. I measured out the ingredients with a kitchen scale to have the exact same measurements as the recipe said. Then I did as the recipe said, up until "after the mixture starts to thicken". The mixture never thickened. I wasn't sure how thick it shoudl get, either - like to a caramel consistency? I took it off the stove and put the rest of the tapioca flour in, and I was successful in creating oobleck. Definitely not a dough.

SO I Googled what I did wrong, and found a YouTube video explaining hot to avoid the oobleck disaster, which is apparently something enough people do when making boba that there's multiple videos and internet instructions on how to avoid this happening. NO WHERE in this book do they warn you that this could happen. Also, if you accidentally make oobleck, you have to throw the whole thing out. It's not fixable.

I tried again, using the video guidance for help (and already, if I have to watch a YouTube video for a book's recipe to work, we're already at a terrible start). I measured out all my ingredients exactly like the recipe says. And I added a spoonful of tapioca flour at a time, waiting for it to get to the stage the video said, where it turns gelatinous and sticks together in a ball. That never happened. I stood in my kitchen slowly added a spoon of flower, mix, slowly add another spoonful, mix. Until I got to the second last spoonful and - IT TURNED INTO OOBLECK AGAIN. This is definitely a problem with the recipe, and not my fault. I think the recipe calls for too much water and no matter how many times I try, it will always fail.

Another thing is that the recipes are written a little confusingly at times. Like it says uses the phrases "tapioca flour" and "tapioca starch" interchangeably, and while they are the same thing, using one term the entire time will make it was less confusing for readers who might think they're missing.

Each recipe also has SO many steps. You have to make the boba (or buy it at a store, but you're going to have to find an Asian grocers that stocks it - I've looked at about 5 Asian grocers in my area online and only one store had it, and I wasn't able to go out and buy it because they're on the other side of the city from me). then you have to brew your tea of choice (they give instructions for black and green tea), and then you have to make a simple syrup or jam. So like, this book presents itself as a easy way to make boba at home to save money, but are you really saving money if it takes 3 hours to make one cup of tea?

So yeah, while this book does have very cute art, I do not recommend it as a recipe book.
