This was a cool find on Netgalley! I love boba tea and I've always been interested in how it's made. This book gave recipes and techniques, anecdotes, and a bit of history. I'll definitely be picking up a hard copy when it comes out so I can experiment with making my own boba tea!

"Kawaii Café Bubble Tea" is a super cute recipe and info book about bubble teas. I really likes that it had step by step guides on everything from the drinks themselves to how to properly brew the teas, make homemade sweeteners and flavors. It is all in illustrated format but would have maybe been nice to have a real drink picture maybe implanted into an illustration or two. Overall, very cute and helpful to the budding bubble drink maker.

Thank you for a review copy in exchange for an honest review.

I wanna start by saying the art in this is SO CUTE. I’m obsessed with it. The recipes are very easy to follow and there’s so much information on how to brew the different types of teas and everything! Very informative and very easy to follow and understand. Will definitely be trying out some of these recipes myself!

I’m not from the U.S. so I don’t know about MILK+T— but I am so glad I downloaded this book!
First of all, the illustrations are SO cute.
Second, and most important of all, the recipes are incredibly easy to follow.

I always used to think that boba was very difficult to make, but while there are technical aspects that you would have to pay attention to, it’s really not as difficult as I thought it would be. Also the jam and fruit tea recipes are so drool-worthy! I can’t wait to try it all out :) I just want this in a hardcover and keep it on my coffee table because it’s so darn cute!

Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for the eARC!

This was the cutest book! The illustrations are so darling, you can’t help but smile while looking at the pictures of the “Sip ‘n’ Dips”. The Electric Feel and Pink Panda were my favourites! There was a good amount of information about Boba and the history of Bubble Tea, as a Bubble Tea lover this was a delight to read about. The recipes seem easy enough to try and replicate at home and would be a really fun idea to try for a girls night or date night!

If you are a Boba lover or just enjoy making fun drinks at home, you’re sure to love this sweet book!

This book is adorable and well written. The recipes are concise and easy to follow. The illustrations create a cute and cozy feel to what is avery comprehensive guide to making bubble tea. The associated narrative about the history of bubble tea, and the creation of MILK+T was very informative and added to the overall experience. The best part is how accessible this book made the recipes. Nothing in here requires ingredients or tools that can't be reasonably sourced by home kitchen experimenters. OUr shopping list is already full of ingredients to try several recipes over the upcoming holiday weekend (who can pass up a chance for a family full of taste-testers!).

This was such a cute read!

I appreciate this book's soft color palate and the cute art style. It looks tailor-made for its audience and while I didn't get to try every recipe in it, I have no doubt that each one of them is someone's favorite.

Such a cute book! I love how the author included a recipe on how to make boba at home. I plan on making it and seeing how it turns out because it is not easy to find good boba at my local market. There are a lot of great recipes.

I have to admit, I had no idea how much went into making boba tea.

This book is a great introduction into making your own tea at home.

From choosing the right boba to buy or creating your own; from making your own jam or creating a speciality boba. This book has you covered.

The fun Kawaii illustrations make it an enjoyable read, that my kids wanted to follow.

I am a tea lady, and I am obessessed with bubble tea. Whenever we go to a new place on holiday, I must try their local tea, and am very disappointed if they don’t have one. I have three bubble tea stores near me, and I’m always telling people which one is the best! 🤣 So needless to say as soon as I saw this it was an insta-grab and I read it in like 20 mins and I want a physical copy.

The illustrations in this are GORGEOUS, and the text is really informative! I learnt a lot!! I love non-fiction books that just feel like you’re having a chat with a good friend, and the way that Stacey and Beylah spoke about their love for bubble tea and the passion for their business was just that.
Being lactose-intolerant, I adore and appreciate the fact that they use non-dairy milk in their milk teas! The homemade syrups seem really easy to make too, and I really want to try “Equality” which is a mango and strawberry green tea representative of same-sex marriage equality 🥰

This book is so cute. The illustrations are charming. It makes me want to try making my own bubble tea if the process for making boba wasn’t so time consuming. I appreciate the all natural recipes for the flavorings and syrups.

“Kawaii Café Bubble Tea” by Stacey Kwong and Beyah Del Mundo is a fantastic recipe book on bubble tea. Not only does it have information on how to brew the right tea and a lot of classic bubble tea recipes but homemade sweeteners, jam recipes, non-dairy base options, bubble tea slushies, homemade syrups, ice cream bubble tea recipes, topping choices, and pudding recipes. It is so cute but also has so many great ideas and recipes for a lot of different types of bubble teas. 5 out of 5 stars.

A cute book, but I didn’t like the fact that I could only read a PDF copy on Adobe Digital Editions. Really should enable “send to Kindle”, as ADE does not make for a pleasant reading experience.

Bubble tea is a family favourite in our home and it's something we really needed to learn how to make. This book makes it simple, easy and fun for us to make bubble tea in the future. Also it's illustrated really well and so cute. Our favourite was the pineberry. We also made our own one with pineapple and coconut milk! SOooo good!
Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for allowing me to access and review this cookbook.

I thought this was a very interesting cookbook to add to my kitchen because I've heard many good things about Bubble Tea over the years, but have never really been interested in buying it at stores or anything like that. The tapioca pearl thing kind of turned my attention off of a it as well - not to say that it's bad! I've just been picky until recent years.

When it comes to this cookbook though, I have to say I am very pleased with it. The information is easy to take in, and the pictures really help make the whole experience fun and interesting! The designs are sort of inspired by anime themes, which makes sense for the subject.

The book starts you off with the basics, letting you know what kitchen equipment you'll need to get started and some basic information about the history of bubble tea, what it is, as well as what it isn't. The chapters break down as follows -

Fruit & Teas
Classic Milk Teas
Specialty Drinks
Sip N Dips (Ice cream bubble tea!!! Such a great idea.)
Toppings

This is a very well rounded bubble tea cookbook that covers everything you need to know to avoid making mistakes early on and to add some interesting skillsets to your kitchen activity, such as learning how to use fresh fruits and such to make your own jams and syrups! Delicious!
