A light but very beautiful read. Simple and soothing, Eclipse was a journey through the world's oldest love story, the sun and the moon.
First, I must address the presentation. The art is this book is gorgeous. From the pages speckled with watercolor to the full, double page illustrations, I really loved the design choices.
The poetry collection itself is short and sweet. The poems have a pretty wide range with some holding a deep sense of longing, others casual, positive affirmations. Overall, reading this collection was a calming in a way that felt like going through a self-care routine. A soft reminder that even when we're alone, we are still surrounded by love.
A great read for casual enjoyers of poetry or even romance readers.
I received a ARC of this book in return for an honest review.
The collection beautifully combines words and watercolours for a very aesthetically pleasing book.
This book would be ideal for lovers of Atticus.
The collection overall takes a positive glance on life. The collection contains positive quotable moments that could easily be used as mantras.
This collection is lgbtqia+ friendly , the love poems are mostly not gendered.
This collection feels like a summary of the early butterflies of when you’re falling in love with someone.
This collection might not suit literary poetry readers as the language is less layered than literary poetry.
This makes for a quick read and could be a good addition to a readathon tbr.
Overall I think this book accomplishes to deliver a positive & pretty collection.
These were brief poems and a short collection. I was engaged while reading them, and many of them were purely about romantic love.
I love this cosmic love story told through an absolutely beautiful collection of poetry. The imagery is uncanny and stunning!
Thank you to net galley and the publisher. Very much enjoyed this not my favorite I have read of poetry.
The art in this was gorgeous! The poetry was beautifully written, but it didn’t really click for me and I found it a bit boring. But so many of the quotes stuck out to me.
The cover and the title is everything. These poems left me smitten from the very beginning. They are beautiful and this poet knows how to write poetry very well.
The illustrations and design in this book are phenomenal. So beautiful and whimsical.
The poems themselves read a bit like 2010 tumblr posts. And 90% of them could’ve been quotes from a romance book. There were a few that made me stop and think but the overwhelming majority were a bit too fluff for my tastes. I did love the concept of the sun and the moon’s love story, just maybe not the fluffiness of it.
This book would be a good one for fans of contemporary romance who want a little bit of poetry in their lives.
Wilder Poetry's "Eclipse" is a mesmerizing collection that delves deep into the human experience, exploring emotions with raw honesty and poetic grace. Each poem within this anthology is like a brushstroke on a canvas, painting a vivid picture of the complexities of life, love, loss, and self-discovery.
One of the most striking aspects of "Eclipse" is the author's ability to capture the essence of emotions in their purest form. Whether it's the warmth of love, the ache of heartbreak, or the quiet resilience of hope, each poem resonates with authenticity, inviting readers to immerse themselves in the depths of feeling.
The imagery in "Eclipse" is nothing short of breathtaking. Wilder Poetry has a remarkable talent for crafting vivid scenes that evoke a myriad of sensations. From the soft glow of moonlight to the fierce intensity of a storm, every word is carefully chosen to evoke powerful emotions and create a deeply immersive reading experience.
Another strength of "Eclipse" lies in its versatility. The collection covers a wide range of themes and topics, from the ethereal beauty of nature to the complexities of human relationships. This diversity ensures that there is something for everyone within these pages, making it a book that readers can return to again and again.
While "Eclipse" is undeniably beautiful, there are moments where the language can feel slightly elusive, requiring multiple readings to fully grasp the intended meaning. However, this only adds to the depth of the collection, inviting readers to engage with the text on a deeper level and discover new layers of meaning with each reading.
In conclusion, "Eclipse" by Wilder Poetry is a captivating journey through the landscape of emotions. With its evocative imagery, raw honesty, and profound insight, it is a collection that will linger in the hearts and minds of readers long after the final page is turned.
Eclipse is a poetry collection that at first might appear one-dimensional, only focusing on the love story the author wants to portray between the sun and the moon. However, poem after poem, the love becomes human. There were several instances in which one could interpret the moon and sun as objects beyond their natural properties and turn into two individuals in love.
The poetry is not quite filled with the sentiment I was expecting. By the end, I thought there was an error in printing because I could recognize similar poems in theme and lyricism. But then, what makes me want to pick up this collection again? The graphic artist deserves a round of applause, page after page, I wanted to discover new images, and through this art, I found the feeling the words couldn't carry.
Overall, I would recommend this to all poetry lovers, especially those lost in translation-long-distance couples; here is an author who understands what you are going through.
I received an ARC copy of the book provided by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I have to first start off with appreciating the visual aesthetics of this book. They were present from the very start of the reading experience as soon as you lay eyes on this gorgeous cover. They then continued to flow through the whole book, with gorgeous illustrations and colors on the pages. The visuals throughout the book elevated the cosmic romance portrayed within the poems.
I loved these poems. I have been in a poetry rut for a long time and have been searching for a collection of poetry to pull me out and this was certainly it. The poems very beautiful, relatable, and had the most gorgeous imagery. This book was a quick read but I certainly feel the content of the poems was still deep and fleshed out. The poems were romantic and enchanting and definitely something I am glad I got to read and enjoy leading up to my wedding day. This book definitely spoke to my emotional frequencies at this moment, which made the whole reading experience that much more enjoyable! I so wish the release date was slightly earlier so that I could utilize these heartfelt words within my wedding decor! This is definitely a book that I feel must be purchased as a physical copy to add to a book hoarders poetry collection. I can’t wait to purchase it for my collection on release day! If you enjoy the poetry of Amanda Lovelace or Nikita Gill then you should give this book a try. I can’t wait to explore more of this authors work!
Beautiful collection of poetry about forbidden/doomed love, full of emotion, passion, and yearning. Relatable and thought provoking and draws the reader in within the first couple of poems.
I cannot wait to see a finished copy of this book! The presentation, even in the galley is gorgeous. The drawings throughout this collection, paired with these poems of love, both romantic and spiritual, make this book unique, and much like reading a modern day Rumi. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t make time to read some poetry, and reading Eclipse over the last few days has left my heart feeling full. Beautiful collection!
this was so incredibly beautiful. i'm a big astrology and celestial girly and mixing that with my love for poetry was just chef's kiss. the different poems were breathtaking and just resonate in a certain way with your being.
This is the first poetry collection I've read from Wilder Poetry and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The graphics were just as beautiful as the poetry itself. Together, they make such a beautiful picture & accentuate the other perfectly. This collection is great for anyone who loves poetry but also for anyone who doesn't read it often.
Thank you to Wilder Poetry, Andrews McMeel Publishing, and NetGalley for sending me an early copy!
"Eclipse" is a beautiful conversation between the sun and the moon as they express their undying for each other. The poetry is enchanting, and the illustrations sprinkled throughout are just as enchanting and beautiful. Exploring light and dark and devotion throughout all stages of life, this book of poetry will appeal to everyone who has ever loved deeply. Recommended for all poetry collections.
First of all - Thank you for letting me be an ARC reader once again.
I love how artistically the poetry and the images are combined in Wilder’s books. It is something I have noticed in their previous works and even now, I find it so beautiful.
The poetry itself is soul catching. When I say that Wilder is among my favourite poets out there, I mean.

Eclipse is a collection of poetry that’s explores the love between the Moon & the Sun. And if you have ever loved someone so deeply you and really resonate with each page!
The artwork was absolutely stunning, and i can’t wait for the release of the physical copy to appreciate the artwork even more
I’ve read and loved Wilder Poetry ever since the self-publishing days and Eclipse is just absolutely beautiful. Eclipse is about finding light in this world, love, and the universe.
This book is divided into the three parts The Stars, Between and You & Me and it feels like a celestial conversion and cosmic love story that you have the pleasure of witnessing. It’s been a long time since I’ve highlighted so many poems and they were my companion for the time I’ve read this book. In addition, I loved the formatting and illustrations that provided a gorgeous contrast and picked up the light and darkness theme.
If you’re into poetry or want to get into it, I highly recommend Eclipse and I already can’t wait to purchase a physical copy and reread this stunning book.
