Sun and moon themed collection of love poems. I really liked the whole aesthetic of the collection, the color scheme, the watercolor illustrations. It's just that the poems themselves weren't exactly my cup of tea. I did like some passages here and there, but most of the time the writing just didn't flow for me, and quite a few sayings I found overused, or just too lovey-dovey. All of the poems focus on the positive though, so the book might be a nice gift for someone you cherish, if that kind of poetry is your thing!

I enjoyed the poems in this book, but the pages were kind of disappointing. There were illustrations every now and then, but I wish there were way more present. I still found the overall book to be moving in its own way.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with access to read this book!

This book is beautiful. It's the type of sweet, heartfelt, glittering poetry that reads easily and allows the artwork of the pages to shine- and good lord does this artwork shine. The illustrations and poetry alike flicker with the luminosity of a bittersweet, quiet brilliance.

There were a few moments that felt slightly incongruent with the rest of the poetry's flow, but anytime I started to wander off track the stunning visuals drew me right back to the prose. In a world full of celestial sonnets and romantic metaphors Wilder manages to create something that is both stylistically unassuming and yet perfectly capable of taking up space.

I’m lost for words with this beauty. I was a huge fan of Nocturnal so I was very excited to read Eclipse.

Loved every single poem and illustration.

I have many favourites. I cannot wait for this to be released in paperback. I NEED this so I can read it over and over again, highlight and have it take pride on my bookshelf’s.

A must read for any poetry lover or for anyone wanting some quiet time to reflect and think :)

‘always remember
that on the other side of a storm
is a bright blue sky
that will find its way back to you’

Very moving and inspiring.

I was excited to try another poetry book by Wilder Poetry and hopeful that I would enjoy this one as much. It didn't live up to the same feeling for me, The illustrations were nice but they seemed to overpower the little bit of pieces that could be called poetry. A few sentences strung together aren't poetry to me, more like social media posts with affirmation sayings.

The higher rating is focused more on the illustrations than the poetry and I really hoped I could find more pieces to relate to and like, but they were few and wide.

Not only was the poetry beautiful the aesthetic was gorgeous. It was a wonder blend that made the book a masterpiece.

This is truly a divine collection of poetry filled with stunning artwork!

These poems are rather simple but they manage to encapsulate so much emotion and to project it in such a devastatingly beautiful way. The constant metaphor of this love between the Sun and the Moon was beautiful and it captured the love between human beings so well. The whole time I was reading this, I had that comforting warmth in my chest, and I had to write down the majority of poems, realizing I will seek them out long after finishing the book.

This is the type of book you should purchase for your loved one, the type of book I would constantly keep close to myself solely for the comfort it would provide. These poems are for the romantic types, for the soft spoken lovers, for the love confessions spoken between kisses in the dark. These poems are for those who gaze up at the Sun and its warmth even when it blinds them, as well as those who gaze up at the Moon to seek comfort and to drown in its gentle, soothing solitude.

I enjoyed this book of poetry. I always like it when mixed media is involved, and it helps tell the story the writer is trying to convey. Not my favourite poetry book I've ever read, but I would definitely recommend it.

This book is beautiful. The artwork and the words. I kept going back to pages just to look at the art.
I will be tracking down the authors other work.

**ARC provided by the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

The first thing I noticed was the art, which is strikingly beautiful, just like the first poems. Sadly, as I kept reading, it started getting repetitive. I kept hoping for new meanings, but no matter how many times I read the poems, they were too similar in content and wording. I was a little disappointed because I really liked the first few pages and the author's writing style. Not only that, but I started losing interest. Despite that, I kept reading in hopes it improved.

Did that happen? Sort of. Maybe I didn't enjoy it as much as the first pages since the repetitions let me down a little bit.

Overall, it was a good read. Maybe it would feel different for someone who is in love. I would consider giving it as a Valentine's Day present.

I liked this collection of poetry. It wasn’t my favorite collection of poetry that I read this year, but I still enjoyed it. I recommend this collection of poetry.

This was a breath of fresh air for me. I often find poetry to be hard to relate to; whether it be because of lack of certain experiences or language that I just didn't connect with. Eclipse was so accessible and honestly put voice to so many experiences as well as emotions for me.

Eclipse is a collection of poems that explores the love between the sun and the moon. Each piece is thoughtful, heartfelt, and stays with the theme of the light and the dark. What I loved most about Eclipse was the beautiful imagery. The illustrations were very fitting, which I felt complimented what was on the page. Wilder Poetry never disappoints and I highly recommend this book. Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Upper 3s for this one. There is some nice imagery sprinkled throughout. I didn't feel the celestial connections in many of the poems like I thought I would.

What an astoundingly beautiful book. The imagery, the words, the flow between the poems that melt into one beautiful love story.

Simply gorgeous.

In dieser Kollektion finden sich Liebesgedichte aus den Perspektiven von Sonne und Mond, unterlegt mit wunderschönen Illustrationen und Malereien. Das Buch ist in drei Abschnitte eingeteilt: "The stars", "Between" und "You & Me".

In English:

This collection contains love poems from the perspectives of the sun and moon, accompanied by beautiful illustrations and paintings. The book is divided into three sections: "The stars", "Between" and "You & Me". There was a successful mix of longer and shorter poems, and the occasional pictures created a wonderful atmosphere and perfectly complemented the content of the poems.
The poems really touched me throughout and I really liked how appropriately they can be applied to a human couple. I could feel the insatiable longing for each other and the sadness due to the partner's unavailability. But I could also feel the happiness through the pages because they can see each other, are in the same universe and find each other again every day. A beautiful collection, on a visual and emotional level. I look forward to reading more from this author and give it a highly recommended 5 stars.

There is something about poems that have to do with the moon, sky, and stars that is just enchanting to me. This collection of poems was lovely, and the little illustrations throughout were beautiful.

I don’t want to be the one to confine a specific art inside a definitive boundary but this kind of poetry, for all I know, is not poetry.

The problem with this kind of poetry is that it doesn’t stick. All of these “poems” belong in the captions of those couple photographs and whatnot idk. Repetitive. It’s for social media and that’s that.

“Oh but you liked Rupi Kaur” Here’s the thing: Rupi Kaur’s poetry still carries weight to it. You can feel it to some extent. Might not be the best, of course, but it is still poetry.

Also, more than half of the space on each page is completely blank and unused. Quite a waste.
However, it helped me sleep at night so kudos to that.

I am such a menace to the NetGalley community of poets >:)) At this point, I only ask for their arcs just to get my average rating down knowing that I will not like it lmao.
