Toad-Frank & The Mystery Machine is a total blast! From the very first page, I was hooked on the electrifying journey of Billy and Toad-Frank, a talking toad with big dreams.

This book is all about daring to explore the unknown, conquer challenges, and cherish the power of friendship. I couldn't put it down as the duo faced ancient landscapes and mysterious obstacles. It's not just a story; it's an inspiration for young adventurers like me to dream big and believe in the extraordinary.

We enjoyed this book! It was a nice story and we learned a lot from reading it! We did wish there was a little more artwork along with the story.

I liked the idea behind this story but I feel that maybe having not read the other books in the series I was lacking a little behind as it felt like there was an underlying theme that I wasn't really aware of - and I am still no clearer on how Toad-Frank came to me as he is.

I liked that they used a time machine and that they visited a few places in history but the story felt a bit disjointed - I wanted to know more - more about why they were visiting, more when they were there and who they were meeting, etc

It is 3 stars from me for this one, good concept and with a couple of little tweaks it could be a higher rating - the illustrations in the book were great and this could be a hit with other parents and children, but sadly it missed the mark for me and the market for children's books is really quite saturated and I think this one will struggle to stand out.

Unfortunately, I found Toad-Frank & The Mystery Machine to be underwhelming. I think there is good bones to the story, and the characters have good potential. But for now, this one fell flat for me. I hope the author invests time into expanding these characters and refines the story in future books.
