LOVED IT!!! The Kingsley's are back in this no holds barred, salacious sequel to Beneath the Surface. I've been waiting forever to read this, and it was everything and more than I expected. All the major players are back with their own scheming agendas. No one is safe. No one can be trusted, not even the weather. Who will come out on top this time? I was both shocked and satisfied with the ending. Very unexpected. This was a fast read that I flew through in a few hours. The Kingsley's are one of the most selfish, greedy, dysfunctional families in the world of fiction, and I really hope that Rouda continues their story. I will be waiting very impatiently to find out if there will be a third book. This series is a must read. I highly recommend them!

I am so sorry that you lost your family home, but so happy that you and your family survived. And that you found your cat alive. I couldn't begin to imagine how terrifying that was for you. We visit the Kingsley distorted world, with secrets, greed and power in this second book. Just as interesting as the first book and was well written. It catches you from the first pages with Paige a daughter in law of Richard
She notices he not as pleased with her now, still she won't give up being in controlled. A party at a luxurious hotel, the tension is high as they all gather for a week end. You get a closure look at this family and how dangerous they can be wanting control. Readers will enjoy her second book.

I have been waiting for Under the Palms since I finished Beneath the Surface. Both were one-sitting reads for me. Kaira Rouda has become an autobuy author for me. I really enjoyed Under the Palms. I love being in the Kingsley’a twisted world. There are so many secrets and so much betrayal. It really makes for an unputdownable read! I’m excited for the next book!
