This is a cute meet story that grabs you with the first chapter. Callen can’t help but look at the beautiful, soaking wet, but determined woman walking down the hall. When she makes a turn he knows that is his new neighbor. What he didn’t expect was the sassy mouth on her. Meridian has made up her mind to break through her neighbor Callen’s walls and get to know him. What she didn’t expect is what she discovers when she gets through some of them. Will she be able to help him through some hard times and still come out on the good side? I was given a copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Losing My Breath was ok. It was a little hard to follow the Author's writing style. It is a quick read.

This was such a fun and heart-wrenching read. The two leads were both unique and three-dimensional - with flaws and hurt places, Actions fueled by their character traits instead of forced along a path because, the story said so.

I laughed at so much of the witty banter. And what Callan had to try to overcome was just heartbreaking. A fitting, happily ever after that wasn’t overmuch, but felt real and raw and just right. The writer’s craft is apparent and this was well-edited and professionally produced.

I liked the grumpy x sunshine trope, though struggled with the lack of communication and possessiveness from Callan. Meridian is a ball of sunshine who steals every scene

This one just didn't hit it for me unfortunately - I struggled with the writing story and characters. I loved the PTSD representation and how Callan sought help with his mental health.

I struggled with the heavy USA military vibes but liked the connection between the main characters and their individual growth. Combined with a cute ending, this one is perfect if you're looking for grumpy/sunshine, mental health rep and military vibes

This is a very short read with a super grumpy ex-marine and his sunshine neighbor. There definitely could have been more development with the story and characters. There’s a lot of jumping forward- thankfully we are completely made aware of the time jumps but it hardly seems there’s any progress then it all happens at once. I’m not sold on the relationship it seems very forced from beginning to end.

I do like that we get a clear picture of how Callan feels with his PTSD and that he finally gets help he needed.

I did get a copy of Losing My Breath via NetGalley to read and review.
