This is a guide on memoir-writing. It was an interesting read, and I'm sure it would be even better for someone who was considering writing their memoir. I especially enjoyed the examples provided.

Mythmaking is a helpful guide on how to write a memoir using archetypes, mythology, and universal themes/patterns to decode and decipher your own life. I found this book to be quite original in its approach to bridging writing with the archetypal journey as I have not seen the two discussed within the actual craft of writing before. I thought the examples, writing prompts, and many real life memoir excerpts included to be very helpful, and I definitely need to read many of the memoirs mentioned.

Anyone looking to write a memoir, should read this book as it will help you to unpack your life and help you to become inspired by the countless books, artworks, stories, and soulful expressions of beauty that are the gateways into helping you get in touch with yourself. There's something inside each of us that wants to be heard, and using myths as a reference guide to give greater context and meaning to that voice, is a unique way of telling your story.

Even if you do not wish to write a memoir, I think this book would also be useful for those who like journaling or for those who are introspective by nature. Mythology really is just a journey of self-discovery.
