This book took me a second to get into, because it literally drops you right into the action where book one ended and I had to quickly recall what had happened with minimal hand holding from the text, but once my memory was properly jogged... what a ride! This book beautifully wraps up the story with a satisfying ending, a fun twist or two (which were easy enough to see coming, but still fun), a whole lot of action, and the continuation of the very cute romance between Neve and Alexandria. I could have done with more appearances from the human friend group, because I adore them, but I can see how trying to cram them in would have made the text a little cumbersome. A fun, action-filled adventure into Celtic mythology with a twist.
