I really enjoyed Danielle Gensler's narration of this book, very well-done.
I found this novella to pack quite the punch for such a short story. I found the story to be moving and interesting, and quite sweet and magical. Perfect for Christmas!

Maddie lives alone and is visited every morning by a man asking if she is ready to go home. She doesn't like the children sledding close to her house and will yell at them to go away. The children run away as though they are scared of her until one day when a little girl falls. The little girl gets hurt and Maddie reluctantly helps her. The girls family brings Maddie a thanks and invites her to their house for Christmas Eve. While there, Maddie tells them her story.
On Christmas Day, the mother and little girl go to Maddie's house to bring her food and gifts. They are told no one lives there and that the owner passed eleven years ago. The visit leaves Maddie ready to finally go home. The man who visited her every morning was her angel waiting to take Maddie to heaven to be with her husband and kids.

I loved The Ghost of Christmas to Come and had no clue Maddie was dead until the every end. It is every well written. At the end of the audiobook, Conway tells the listener what prompted the writing of The Ghost of Christmas to Come.

Thank you NetGalley for the audiobook.

This was just a quick story, but it held so much within its pages.

It’s a story of redemption and what just a small amount of kindness to do for someone who is lost.

This is the 2nd book in this series that I have listened to and I can’t wait for the next!

This is a quick and entertaining Christmas short story. I especially enjoyed the character of Mattie, who was easy to relate to.

Danielle Gensler did an okay job narrating the audiobook.

This book for sure was one that was small but had a big impact on me. The narrator wasn’t the best but the story made up for it.
A story of loss, grieving, love and the miracle of Christmas. I absolutely adored this little story that for sure gave me the vibe of the Christmas carol. I had a tears in my eyes and a by the end was smiling.
Thanks to the folks at NetGalley for an audio copy of this book. My review is a honest reflection of my feelings towards this book.

Elizabeth ‘Matty’ Korza is a widow and now an elderly recluse who spends most of her time sitting in her rocking chair looking at the cemetery at the top of the hill. A man stops by each morning to wake her up and clears her sidewalk.
Things change the day Matty helps an injured little girl.

I did enjoy this short story; one in which there is love and redemption at Christmas.
Additionally I loved Mr. Conway’s ‘Author’s Note’.

I love a good audiobook but I can be a snob about the narrator.
The narrator did a good job in performing some of the characters but unfortunately not all and I thought I would have enjoyed this story more if I had read it.

The Ghost of Christmas to Come by D.P. Conway
Narrated by Danielle Gensler

A sweet Christmas novella where second chances come in a way you would never expect. Old Mattie has been "stuck" for a very long time. She can't stand to think of the bad times, so many of them, blended into one. She misses her husband but she's not ready to go because...she isn't even sure why. This novella features the kindness of strangers and the renewal of hope, during a time when we need it the most.

Thank you to BooksGoSocial Audio and NetGalley for this ARC.

This tale of a bitter old woman, a rambunctious little girl, and a family reaching out with compassion will have you feeling all the feels! I didn’t expect to be swept up into this tale and find myself crying at the end of a very special Christmas revelation ❤️
