What an adorable debut novel! The premise of this series is a holiday trip away to the Swiss Alps. So it is more winter than Christmas themed.

Holly's relationship has ended poorly, so she heads to the Swiss Alps to live there and work in a chalet's restaurant. The feel of the chalet kind of reminded me of a modern Downton Abbey, so I wasn't mad about that at all.

Add in a love triangle with an obvious bad choice and a secretly admired good choice and you have the makings of a quick and enjoyable weekend read.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.
Cozy, fun holiday book. A girl who hates the cold, moves to Switzerland after a bad break up to work at a ski resort. It was a little predictable, but still an enjoyable read

Super adorable premise, but I struggle with any book that starts out that we're running away from one relationship into another. How do I believe they got their happy ever after if just six weeks ago they were in love and getting married?! It moves too fast for me.

That being said, I also don't handle condescending men very well. Luca is the epitome of Chuck Basses in life and believes Liv to be his personal play toy. It became exhausting and I rooted for Liv to tell him to pack sand.

It's a cute premise, easy to read, and entertaining but ultimately I wanted our male characters to have a little sweet with their sour.

Such a cozy, fun read around this time of year. Thoroughly enjoyed it, I could predict where the story was going at some point but that didn’t matter as it was still nice to see how everything unfolded!

This was a cute read. It’s like a romance, Christmasy, winter read. I really enjoyed it. I’d definitely recommend reading this in the winter months.

This was just a tiny taste. The narrator voice was clear from the beginning and the situation was well set up. I'll have to grab a copy of the book and read the rest!

Everyone knows that Holly hates the cold to the core. She surprises herself and everyone else when she packs her bags and moves to the Swiss Alps. However, it's just what she needs following a heartbreak. She feels uncomfortable going to an area where billionaires live. Fortunately, Liv and Xavier become her new friends and help her navigate the unfamiliar and frigid environment. Then there is Luca, who is wealthy and attractive, but what's the catch?

It was enjoyable to read Escape to the Swiss Chalet quickly and easily. In a romantic comedy, there's romance and drama—all good things. This will satisfy your craving for something sweet if you're looking for it.

Escape to the Swiss Chalet - Carrie Walker

This is a new author for me, and I really enjoyed the writing style. A very nice little snippet into Christmas, I felt it had a great Hallmark movie feel, which I will definitely be adding to my TBR and hope to get around to reading soon! thanks so much to the publishers and Netgalley for the extract in return for my honest opinion.

Thank you to the author and Aria & Aries Publishing for a chance to read the excerpt.

I liked the setup of the calm before things changed, and Holly seems to be a likable character who's faced with decisions which we see start to arise by the end of the excerpt. I'll be adding this book to my TBR and reading it soon! Super curious about what Holly does to get from point A in the excerpt to point B in the description.

This was a sweet, quick winter read, best enjoyed while you're cozied up in a blanket. As soon as I started reading, I was transported gorgeous winter land. This book had a picturesque location, a funny main character, some comedic moments, and a dash of romance. The descriptions of food sounded amazing. This was a great, light-hearted debut novel! Holly is known to despise the cold, so everyone is surprised when she takes a job in the Swiss Alps working for wealthy twins,Genevieve and Luca. She soon makes new friends with Liv and Luca. Her heart had been broken but making friends again is helping her heal. Will Luca also be the one who helps heal that heart.?

I can’t in good consciousness give this a rating higher than a 3 since it was only a 20-ish page excerpt. The premise is interesting so far, but other than our main character. none of the character’s mentioned in the blurb are featured yet. I’d be interested in seeing where this book goes and how it gets there. My initial impression is that it gives off “The Wedding Date” kind of vibes.
