This was an amazing second chance romance. I didn’t particularly like all the misunderstandings and hidden secrets; however, Jen Devon did an amazing job explaining why they happened. This just shows how good of a job Devon does with her writing and storytelling.

I can’t wait to get the next Brady sibling’s story.

I hate it when a book could be really good, but it just doesn’t hit the mark. The storyline was great. I loved the idea behind the story and was super excited about reading it. But when I started it took me weeks to just get into the book. Multiple starts, and then I just got stubborn about finishing.

It was not easy to read. I didn’t find out until researching the author and pulling up her other book that this was indeed a second in a series, but not indicated as such. While reading I was overwhelmed with the sheer number of characters I was trying to keep straight, wild hair storylines that kept creeping out of no where (maybe if it was read in order it would have made more sense?). I just constantly felt like I didn’t know who was coming on scene and what all the sneak peaks of backstory were lending to this story. Did she sleep with Harry at some point?! I still don’t know??

Also the sheer number of adjectives. I love to be able to picture the scene, but not at the expense of remembering the events unfolding. I felt like I was reading about something that was happening and then there would be a beautifully worded albeit distracting complicated description of the setting, and when the text turned back to the actual events I had to go back and skim the previous paragraph. So distracting, and I’ve never seen that in a book I’ve read so I know there’s a better way to construct those sentences/paragraohs/ideas while still painting the scene.

Anyhow it was a lovely storyline with miscommunication and hiding truths and feelings. By the time they finally got together I was desperate for the book to end. I really hope that the author adapts a more streamlined writing approach by the time Mal and Frankie’s book comes out because I’d love to see them move from enemies to lovers.

Second chance romance all the way! I love a reconnection story and all the pining involved in a second chance romance. And a vineyard setting, yes please!

Yay, another Brady family book! Set on a sprawling vineyard, this second chance romance between Temperance and Duncan was a lot of fun to read. I loved Bend Toward the Sun, so it was a major plus that I got to visit with those characters again. I’m looking forward to the next installment in this series!

I absolutely loved Devon's 1st book - 'Bend Towards the Sun' and was so excited to read a story about Temperance and Duncan. I loved reading about the Brady family, life on the vineyard, and the messy relationships that is life. This story explores themes of love, friendship, and the complexities of growing up and learning to stand on your own two feet - and out of the shadows of your parents.

Temperance and Duncan had one unforgettable summer together and since then, have been drawn to each other. Neither of them can deny their chemistry but the timing never seemed to be right and Temperance always ended up leaving. Now that Temperance is home for the summer, she cannot deny her feelings any longer.

Loved this so much and can't wait to read more from Jen Devon.

This is the sequel to “Bend Towards the Sun” . However, it could easily be a stand alone romance if you have not read the first book (I had not read the first book and did not realize it was a follow up novel).

Two best friends, Lily and Noah reconnect with each other after not seeing each other for years. They have to work through their feelings and their past and present relationship. This book is slightly predictable and I felt like there was a lot going on with a lot of characters. This was very much a slow burn for me and was just okay. If you love forced proximity and second chance romances this book is for you!

First off, I am obsessed with this purple cover! I loved the dual POV here, but I did have some problems with the miscommunications. But there was plenty of pining here and I did enjoy Duncan and Temperance together.

Cute but found myself skimming a lot of it. Hard for me to care a lot about the characters. Didn’t love the vibes but that’s probably just me!

Bend Towards the Sun was one of my favorite books when I read it a few years ago, so I was thrilled to hear this book was set in the same world and that we would get to revisit Cloud Tide vineyard and some of the characters from that book.

I also love a good second chance romance so I was thrilled to dive into this one and learn about the complicated relationship between Temperance and Duncan. I loved being transported back in time to when these two wonderful characters first met and fell in love and then broke up, and then of course to see how they interact in present day and to see if the timing would finally be right for them to be together.

Jen Devon's writing is lovely as always, and I loved that in addition to the beautiful second chance romance, there's also just such a wonderful focus on family.

First thing I have to say is Temperance is such a great name. My other favorite tv character shares the same name so I knew going in I was gonna love this book. And boy do I love it! I love a good Forced Proximity romance and this one is straight fire. This book had me feeling all my feelings and emotions.

A Second chance romance to root for! I really loved this couple and quickly became invested rooting for them the whole time!

"Right Where We Left Us" by Jen Devon explores themes of love, friendship, and the complexities of growing up. I absolutely loved Jen Devon's "Bend Toward the Sun" so I was thrilled when I saw the ARC available for this. Unfortunately, this story and the couple just fell flat for me. I actually began reading this book in May and only just finished it this last weekend (end of September). I was just never really all that excited to pick it up so read other books instead until I finally decided to just finish it! The backstory was choppy and odd, Temperance's connection with the family was odd, and it's just such a SLOOOOOOOWWWW burn. The many reasons why this couple couldn't be together really made very little sense, along with the family constantly giving advice that sounded like it came from a Hallmark card, and also the weird "fake" relationship that made no sense to the overall plot. This one was not for me.

Bend Toward the Sun was a favorite of mine, so I had high hopes for Right Where We Left Us. I was so thrilled to be back in the fold with the lovely Brady family! While it didn't quite reach the level of BTTS, Right Where We Left Us was still a heartwarming story of second chances and new beginnings. A must read that will stay with you long after you finish. Forced proximity and second chances are the name of the game in this delightfully written story. Years ago, Temperance and Duncan had an unforgettable summer together. Since then, they have always been drawn to each other, but the timing never seemed to be right and they always ended up leaving. Now, Temperance is back home for the summer, and Duncan can't keep his mind and eyes off of her. Duncan has issues with self-worth, and not having a higher education and working in construction, he doesn't think himself worthy of her. There is a lot of yearning and angst between them and the chemistry is undeniable and you can really feel their pain throughout the whole story. They've tried and failed to be together in the past, but could this time be different?
A well-wriiten and lovely story that had me invested from the start. I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

It was great getting Duncan and TJ’s second chance romance story. This book is a stand alone but it helps knowing characters and back stories if you have read the first book. I don’t love this book as much as Bend Towards the Sun. Jen Devon’s writing is beautiful. I love angst and a slow burn but I felt like there weren’t good enough reasons keeping the two of them apart for as long as they were. I still enjoyed the book and looking forward to hopefully more books from the Brady siblings.

This was a weird read for me because I felt as though I was missing information throughout the entire book. There are so many previous events that happened that are constantly referred to, and a lot of characters to keep track of, that I thought this had to be a part of a series. It's not though - it's a standalone. For that reason, I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked to.

TJ and Duncan though... talk about angst and sexual tension and second chances. I loved Duncan's character; he's so quietly holding all the pieces together and making progress, and no one really notices it. Definitely a great fictional couple, but too much happened off page that left me confused at times.
