This was the perfect journal for women who are learning how to practice self-love. The topics were really helpful and had good guidance on how to achieve this. I will definitely recommend this to my other friends so they can enjoy the benefits of loving yourself.
A wonderful journal for teaching women how to self-love. Amidst the chaos of everyday life, working, marriage, being a parent, women tend to put their needs last and this journal is a wonderful way for women to learn how to self-love and self-care.
A beautifully laid out colourful workbook that is straightforward and to the point.
Lots of room to complete the exercises along with meditation prompts and a couple of yoga poses to practice.
Some of the explanations are quite simple as the workbook is a companion to another manual.
It can be used as a standalone but I think the benefits would be much better when used together with the manual.
**Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for access to an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.
An eye opening experience! If you have trouble setting boundaries, or with your self worth, you need this journal today. I was brought to tears a few times but Jordan Brown's questions made me realize a few things about myself. There are plenty of questions to answer that will dig into areas that can be improved.
I will take the time to write my answers in a separate journal so I can go through this book every year as a check in with myself.
The Self-Love Journal for Women by Jordan Brown is available now! As stated on the cover, it is the “Official Companion” to the Self-Love Workbook for Women, which was written by a different author. The design of the book is colorful and likable, and the graphics match the Workbook. Together they might be a great self-gift for a woman determined to work through the process of developing self-love.
Amazing journal looks very through looking forward to purchasing a copy for myself I love to journal, and this one looks great I think anyone who is into finding themselves again will very much like this
I enjoyed the short journel. I was hoping for more pictures or diagrams though. I believe this would be helpful to others. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my ARC in exchange for my review.
Thank you Netgalley and Callisto Publishing for giving me the chance to read this for a free review!
I signed up for this book and it did not disappoint! I have a child with special needs and I lost a child last year so I'm currently on this journey of grieving and self-loving. I put a request to read this because I've been struggling and just needed to put myself first to heal. There's been times when I have been cruel to myself and it does take a toll. This book was exactly what I needed to help me tend to my inner child and to put myself first (with some boundaries of taking care of my family). Although I've furthered my education on special needs/disability laws, I always tend to beat myself up the worst and think of myself of not doing enough. My husband, friends, and family have been a wonderful support system but it is also up to me on how I think and take care of myself. This book reminds me of boundaries and the self-care that you need to do to keep on going. The exercises have helped me tremendously and remind me to be kind to myself. I enjoy the self-love bingo provided because I used it more as a checklist instead of a bingo game.
I will be recommending this book to my other friends and family who need that extra reminder of self-loving and to be vulnerable and try out the exercises. You don't know what helps unless you try! (This is what I say/push at my grieving therapy sessions. Give things a shot to know what helps or doesn't help you with the grieving process.)
I understand that not everyone can afford therapy. So, if you are looking for something that you can journal about in lieu of therapy, this is a good option. However, if you need help with self-worth, I highly recommend you just go to a therapist-- especially if you are a verbal processor-- as it is exactly what I've talked through with multiple therapists over the years.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
What an awesome journal with lots of prompting and guidance. A must get for all women out there trying to find themselves and love themselves. Lots of room to write as well.
A lot of fun things are to discover in this book. It actually surprised me I was so into this! Doesn't matter if it was the self love bingo (probably my favorite and so unique) or all the other wonderful things. Great book!
A bright and beautiful book of prompts and exercises with space to write. I particularly loved the playlist section - music is magic. And the self-love bingo! What fun! 🥰
Thank you netgalley for a copy of this arc in exchange for a honest review. I enjoyed reading this journal. It is perfect for a women trying to build self esteem and confidence.
A journal that takes women through the process of self-love. I loved this so much. I don't normally love things like this, but I found so much of it rang true for myself. I loved the affirmations throughout and how interactive it is. I do actually plan on purchasing this when it comes out because I think it is so good.
I really enjoyed looking through this journal. I liked all of the different prompts for discovering more about myself. I liked the idea of a social media cleanse and how that could improve the way I perceive myself. I really like the way the journal is laid out and the fun colors used throughout the pages. Another topic I really liked was the self love language prompts. I found this to be particularly insightful. Overall, a fun and engaging journal to help on my journey to self love.
