After reading the previous book, I couldn’t wait to read this one! However, this one didn’t hit the mark with me. It was an average read, but didn’t really hold my attention.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.

This is the sequel to ‘the sleepover’.

25 years ago Leah went to a sleepover with her three best friends. In the morning they were gone and were never found. Now Leah is a mum herself, but the ‘fame’ has never left her. When three teenagers camp outside the house of one boy, they are gone by morning. Randomly the police come to Leah’s door-the mum of one of the boys has requested she come round. Leaf vaguely knew Jennifer at school, so she’s unsure of her motive, but tries to support her in the search.

Wow this one had a sting in the tail. Really enjoyed this. Kind of feel reading book one was a must, as there are lots of references to Leah’s secret but no details given. The character of Jennifer had me suspicious throughout. She didn’t seem all that bothered by her son’s disappearance and was more interested in building ties with Leah. As always with the authors books, just as you think you’ve got it all figured out-boom-a massive twist! Loved it!

Oh dear, 3 boys disappear decades after the 3 girls disappeared. Leah finds herself implicated again ! It was quite a ride, I can't believe the twists at the end and who was responsible !

Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for access to this arc in exchange for my honest review.

4.5 stars rounded up.

"Gone. They're gone." Dylan's wide-eyed mother bites her nails in desperation. "All three kids wanted to sleep outside. But I went to check this morning and.... the tents are empty. They're gone."

Twenty-five years ago: teenage Leah had a sleepover with her three best friends. By morning, the other girls were missing. The small town has been searching for answers ever since. Now it's happening again.

Leah had a sleepover twenty-five years ago with three friends, but in the morning her friends had disappeared. Now it's happened again. Three boys have disappeared while they were camping on one of their parent's farm. Leah finds herself in the middle of the investigation. With plenty of twists and red herrings, I was quickly drawn into this story. There are lies and deceit in this well-written mystery. The tension builds throughout. I never knew which direction the author was taking me to next. Loved this book.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #Bookouture and the author #KerryWilkinson for my ARC of #AfterTheSleepover in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the first novel in this series. This one I took me a little while to get into but once I had, I couldn’t put it down. It builds the tension throughout and there’s a great twist at the end. It can be read as a stand-alone but I was glad I’d read the previous novel. Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the chance to review.

Brilliant second in the series book following on from “the night of the sleepover”

25 years on from the tragedy that left Leah the sole surviving teenager after a sleepover with her friends, it seems history is repeating itself when three teenagers camping on one of their parents farms mysteriously disappear in the night.

Leah finds herself in the middle of the investigation and the twists and mysteries keep coming throughout

Twenty five years after Leah had a sleepover with friends, and her friends went missing, it happens again.
The mother of the host of the sleepover, Jennifer, has requested Leah's support.

Leah finds out what she can, and becomes suspicious of the mother's motive to have her almost constant company, after all, they were never friends at school. She finds out that at one time, her boyfriend Ben was involved with this woman, yet both are denying there was a relationship.

I was so excited about this book! The previous book had me hooked from the first page.
I wish I could say the same about this one. Something about the writing was off, in my opinion.
I have never seen so much yawning in a book! It is constantly mentioned!

However, having said that, I did enjoy the story. There were many twists that weren't expected, red herrings, lies, deceit, mystery and it was totally unpredictable.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review. Opinions are my own.

Great jaw-dropping thriller! The characters were well-written and believable, and the premise had me hooked from the very beginning. It was engaging and paced very well, and kept me guessing until the very end!

25 years ago three girls disappeared. Now it seems like history does repeat itself. This time though it's three boys who are gone without a trace.

As per usual the author pushes the reader in a certain direction and you believe it all, so you follow. But having read a few books by him before, you know you always have to be prepared. When you think that everything is al crystal clear, be ware, because it seems you did not know anything at all.

The direction changes and you are lead down a totally different road that leaves you flabbergasted.

There are a whole bunch of reasons why people scheme, deceive and even kill, but sometimes I still am shocked to find out what drives some of them. This is so not worth it.

Often the epilogue brings the final blow, leaving you with your mouth hanging wide open and your jaw touching the floor.

Great story with great actors and I would not mind another part in this series. 5 stars

Thank you

As soon as i see the name Kerry Wilkinson i'm on it straight away. This is the second book in this series and wow what a follow up. The characters as always are written so well and totally believable. Great storyline which i thought one thing and was totally wrong. There must be a third book? I do hope so. My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy. Massive five stars from me.

This talented author has written a page turner. The realistic characters kept me intrigued. The secrets and red herrings made up a recipe for disaster. This was a quick read. Trying to discern the ending was not easy. I am still wondering. Questions not answered…I hope there will be another book to explain. Thanks Netgalley.

This was a very dark gripping thriller with a jaw dropping ending which I did not see coming. I can not wait to recommend this excellent thriller thanks to netgallery and the publisher for my advanced copy.

Twenty-five years ago: teenage Leah had a sleepover with her three best friends. By morning, the other girls were missing. This small town has been searching for answers ever since. Now it’s happened again…
Three boys decide to camp in a field next to one of their homes. When dawn comes, dew glistens on their empty tents.
Overgrown farmland is searched. Three distraught families are desperate for news. A mother herself now, Leah’s heart breaks as terrible memories flood back…
Leah thought she knew what happened at the sleepover years ago but now another three children are missing. What if she was wrong? And how far will Leah have to go, to finally discover the truth, before it’s too late…….Dark and compelling, a slow-motion collapse; I read it in 24 hours with my heart in my mouth. So good!

Follow up from Kerry's previous, " The Night of the Sleepover." This book takes Leah, her father, and a town where three boys are suddenly missing. What happens to them is not what I expected. While I did not read this book word for word, it did keep my attention. The ending was good-goes to show you just how messed up some people can be when it comes to fame and jealousy.
