The cat friends in this series reassure young children about a variety of tricky issues. This title deals with fear thoughts. As a grownup I can identify with feeling sick Sunday evenings dreading workday Mondays. I’m so glad to know this series of cat friends exists to bring healing to worried children.
I have suffered from Sunday Scaries for most of my life. Alycat and her friends have the right approach to spend their Sundays having fun and supporting each other. Alysson Bourque’s sweet story of friendship and overcoming fears is a great read.
“Alycat and the Sunday Scaries” shows young children how to be kind and supportive of their friends who are experiencing fear or disappointment. The kittens also learn to look forward to events in the upcoming week rather than focusing on the “Mondayest of Mondays” tomorrow.
This book is great for anyone (seriously, it’s sweet) who suffers from the Sunday Scaries.
