Thank you for the opportunity to read The Paris Widow by Kimberly Belle through NetGalley! This is a fast-paced international thriller that kept me engrossed from the start of the first page. While on a vacation in Paris. Stella's husband Adam is missing and presumed dead after an explosion. This event begins the unravelling of Stella's past, as she also starts to question everything she thought she knew about Adam. The characters start to unveil a world of blood antiquities and the underworld associated internationally. I will definitely be recommending this book to friends looking for a fun, whirlwind of a reading ride!

I went back and forth with my final thoughts on this book. To be honest I might still not be completely confident in how I feel.
We meet married couple Stella and Adam who are on a trip to Paris. I will note all the details and information about Paris I thoroughly appreciated. After a bombing and Adam goes missing Stella is shattered and is not leaving Paris until she finds him. Is he dead , alive , running ? A victim or a target ? Because she quickly finds out she is not the only one looking for Adam… so are the police and some extremely sketchy people. Ohhh because she also finds out her husband is involved in the trade of stolen antiques. ….. although we quickly learn Adam is not the only one with secrets and we learn about some of Stella’s. The chapters alternate between Adam and Stella.
Overall this was an interesting read, but I found a lot of the stories that unravel are very unrealistic and very far fetched. I also saw a lot of the “twists” coming. This book is worth the read as I enjoy this author, but not one of my favorites.

Thank you to the author, Netgalley, and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the ARC.

Super quick read about the illicit trade of blood antiquities; a subject I knew nothing about. I have read a few Kimberly Belle books and like this one, I found it very entertaining. Book suited for 16+ age group.

Great beach read! Fast paced, lots of despicable characters, and alas pretty easy to figure out what was going on. I’d say this is more for people who like a fast paced thriller that doesn’t have a lot of substance-like I wrote a perfect beach read.

Thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Stella and Adam are having a wonderful weeks long trip throughout Europe, wrapping up in Paris, about to head back to Atlanta, when a terrible explosion occurs and Adam may have been a victim. Stella is searching for Adam and ends up doing a TV interview which makes her a bit of a celebrity. Then she starts to understand that Adam may not have just been an innocent victim but possibly the target.

This plot is my absolute favorite plot in the world. I really liked this book but I didn't love it quite as much as I should have. I am not sure why. It had international intrigue, which is my favorite. It had secrets in a relationship, which I love. I loved the Europe travel aspect so much. Somehow the secrets maybe weren't as sinister as I had hoped they would be. Regardless, I liked it, I just think my expections were too high but I do enjoy this author's work and I look forward to her next novel.

Thank you, NetGalley for this early access read. I enjoyed it a lot! I expected none of the twists and the book kept me reading more to find out how the story would unfold.

I would categorize this book as more of a mystery than thriller if I’m being honest.

Overall, give this book a try when it releases and hopefully you enjoy it as much as I did!

It was different than what I normally read which was a nice change!

Kimberly Belle didn’t disappoint with this book.
I couldn’t put it down. The story grabbed me instantly. Stella is a great main character and I rooted for her the whole book. Her husband Adam goes missing after an explosion at a cafe. She wastes no time in choosing to investigate on her own and trying to find him. She meets his people and has her own interesting back story that helps her along the way.

Such a good book!

I LOVED the Paris Widow! I was sucked in from the beginning because I love Paris but also fun being from Atlanta I could imagine Adam’s antique shop being on Miami Circle and there were a couple references to one of my old neighborhoods. Peachtree Park. Didn’t want to put this down and can’t to post about it on my book page when it comes out!

I agree with many of the previous reviewers… this was not Kimberley Belle’s best writing. I am typically a huge fan of her books and this one started off so strong but then… I’m not even sure what happened but halfway through it became a challenger me to stay interested. Maybe it’s because I didn’t really care for the characters? Maybe it just gave us too many characters to keep track of? Whatever the case, this was not great.

Thank you, NetGalley and Harlequin for this ARC.

I have always enjoyed Kimberly Belle's books so I was extremely excited to read this one. Sadly, this one was not for me. I really did try to like it but I couldn't connect to the characters or plot. Maybe this book just wasn't for me since I'm not really into action movies and this felt like an action movie/book to me. I would recommend this book as an adventure/action book and not so much as a psych thriller. I also can picture this book as a movie.

The Paris Widow grabbed me right at the start! A great story of love, deceit and an array of antiques, secrets, intrigue all in beautiful Paris. Such a fast passed story that starts right in the beginning. Stella and Adam, seemingly innocent and happy on this lovely trip are met with disaster, lies, and panic. Excellent story with unexpected twists and turns. Loved it! Thank you @NetGalley@ParkRow@KimberlyBelle@TheParisWidow

A fast paced thrilling and exciting read set in Paris and starts with a big bang. Secrets, mysteries, mayhem and the hunt for truth in the world of antiquities.

Give me a book set in multiple cities across Europe and I am a happy girl! Stella is trying to piece together the parts of her husband, Adam’s, life that he has omitted following a cafe bombing during their European vacation. But Stella has some secrets of her own. This was a great, fast paced read that included some minor timeline jumps and multiple POVs between Stella and Adam. I would have hoped for a little more character development of both Stella and Adam, but overall, I enjoyed the read!

When I read the summary for The Paris Widow by Kimberly Belle, I got strong Charade(one of my favorite movies) vibes and I was excited to try it out!
The Paris Widow follows Stella Knox on an European trip with her husband, Adam. While in Paris, they split up and Stella grows worried when there's an explosion and she can't get a hold of Adam. She finds out that he was right by the site.of the explosion and she's desperate to find out if he's ok or not. While talking with the Parisian police, she discovers that Adam may have been the target for the bomb and possibly had a secret side business of dealing in stolen antiquities. Stella can't believe it and she is determined to find out what's truly going on and who her husband really is.
This book was pretty good! I found Stella to be a little dense and naive sometimes but still liked her character, the plot was interesting and kept me involved the whole time. It was definitely a fun read!

This sounded like an interesting read from the synopsis and it started out well. After that, I lost interest. I couldn't engage with the characters. Several things were going on that were unrealistic.

2.5 stars

This sounded like an interesting read, and it started out strong. Sadly, it went downhill quickly. I couldn't engage with the characters. The plot line was very predictable, and numerous points were unrealistic, even for fiction.
