I unfortunately just couldn't get into this one. It just throws you into the middle of things with no explanation, leaving my confused the whole time. What I could see of the artwork was cute.

Thanks to NetGalley for providing an ARC of this title in exchange for an honest review.
This series has potential, but I'm sad that I saw all of that potbetial in the last handful of pages. The story starts off in the middle of something and we're not really given background information. While this can be done well, this book sort of muddles through that device making it frustrating at times to read. The lack of explanation for the world or the power systems or really anything for a first book in a series is shocking.
The characters are a little archetypal, but not too off putting. The art is gorgeous in still frames, the scenery is often amazing and full of bright and vibrant colour, wonderfully detailed. The main character designs are cute and fun, albeit a little plain compared to the right world the author creates. The panels where there is movement or facial expression aren't as well done and feel really over the top compared to the rest of the book which is incredibly toned down.
I'll admit, I wasn't into the plot and was going to give this a worse review until the last like 50 pages. The sudden repercussions from the dinner scene at the beginning were unexpected and added more to the story - gave it some of the ooompf it needed.
I'll read the next volume and hope it improves in the areas I feel it's lacking!

Ahh, I'm so excited that this is being published. The first volume is adorable and sets the scene and pending relationship between the two. I won't say much and spoil the story, but I'd recommend reading volume one and then checking out the title on Webtoon if you can't wait for the the volumes (like me).

Thank you NetGalley and WEBTOON Inc. for this ARC.

Had read the first chapter of this a long time back on the app, and it’s just as fun as I remember. The art is amazing! Will wait for more volumes.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I really enjoyed this first bit of Morgana and Oz! The art is charismatic, the story is interesting and the characters are worthwhile. Webtoons have truly become the future of graphic novels, and I think it’s cool!
However, I deducted one star for the ARC itself. It was just unacceptably bad. I tried to read the provided file that NetGalley provided, but there was an enormous watermark that heavily obscured the art. I get not wanting your work to be distributed before release day, but this is a collection covering about a third of a comic that you can already read online with no watermark…. For free. I ended up reading this on the Webtoon app instead. This really isn’t the author’s fault, and this published version of Morgana and Oz is worth reading upon release with no watermark, or on Webtoon!

Thank you to Netgalley and Webtoon Unscrolled for this ARC.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

The premise of this story was really interesting. We get kind of flung into the deep end plot wise right from page one. I would have loved a little more world building to fully grasp what's happening in the story and why. More background information on the witches, vampires, and the world in general would have enhanced my reading experience.

I love our two main characters Oz and Morgana. Whilst we didn't get a lot of character development as it's only the first volume, there is a lot of potential there.

The art style is gorgeous and every panel looks great.

Overall, this is a series that I'm looking forward to continuing!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

First I would like to say Thank You to NetGalley and WEBTOON Unscrolled for allowing me to have an Advanced Readers Copy.

This was so much fun! The art style is amazing. Although I’m not entirely sure if some of the pages were deliberately left blank or if I just wasn’t allowed to see certain pages? Anyway, I digress. There is a lot of mystery in this first volume. And I am eager to find out more about what is going on!! I cannot wait to continue with this series.
Will Morgana ever control her magic? Will Oz ever turn back into a vampire?

I was scrolling around Netgalley and came across this graphic novel and it sounded good and I looked the cover art so I grabbed it. I did enjoyed the witches vs. Vampire aspect. I am going to read the next in the series because I feel like we were kind of left on a cliff hanger as far as what the outcome will be. I also sense a romance possibly coming on.
I liked most of the art but sometimes I felt like it wasn’t as detailed on some pages so those ones weren’t as nice to look at.
Overall this was a good read and I would recommend it and I’m looking forward to carrying on with the series.

Thank you to Netgalley and Webtoon for the complimentary copy.

A family of witches, the story opening up with little witch Morgana setting her dress on fire in an effort to change the style and color.

Instead, her spell sends it up in flames. The whole party dress is burned to cinders. In which she meets Oz while trying to fix the catastrophe, who was getting ready to stage a coup.

A vampire and a witch. A vampire 🦇 transformed into an adorable little kitty. A disappeared grandfather. A deal.

Trying every magical spell depleting a witch. The hatred that humans have for magic, for powerful witches is poignant. Pain and tricks and snickering at a magical girl trying her best.

Moon crescent flower. One that only blooms at night. The red vampire clan. Winterberry witches. The Council. Fireflies. A kidnapping.

Witch blood. Curses. Good start to an interesting webtoon series! 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 Stars!

Thank you Wattpad Webtoon Studios and NetGalley for allowing me to read the first volume of Morgana and Oz!

I absolutely loved this. In Morgana and Oz you're introduced to Morgana who is the daughter of a witch clan and Oz who is a part of a rival vampire clan who have been at odds for a long time. Just when both clans come together to talk about creating peace between the two someone tries to sabotage the negotiations. Morgana meets Oz during the fall out and her magic causes some bad luck for Oz in the process. Morgana seems like such a sweet character even though her magic is unpredictable, she really just wants to do good and find a way for both clans to get along. Oz slowly warms up to her, I wonder how their relationship will continue to develop and who might be secretly trying to ruin everything Morgana wishes to come true. The art is really good and the story is intriguing, the first volume leaves you wondering what will happen next. Can't wait to read the next volume when it comes out!

Thank you to the publisher for the eARC!

Absolutely love the cover and the art style a lot! I was thoroughly invested in Morgana Winterberry's journey who is a daughter of a very well-known witch family Winterberry but she lacks the skills of her family and her every spell goes wrong. She accidentally turns Oz, a vampire from the Red Vampire Clan which is at odds from the Winterberry family, into a cat. And so starts the story of Morgana learning to harness her powers, get better at spells and turn Oz back into a vampire. Oz's character was interesting to read and especially Roland's. My favourite side character was definitely Mordecai.
The ending was really abrupt, I thought there was a mistake and accidentally got a shorter version of the book. It should've ended on a cliffhanger and not like how it did. There were also a few blank pages which confused me a lot.
Overall, I'm excited to read how this story ends.

This is a delightful web-comic-turned-graphic-novel! Morgana is a young witch who has trouble controlling her powers. When she meets Oz, she accidentally turns him from a vampire into a cat, but is determined to change him back. Adding drama to the story is a missing grandpa, a failing business, and potential vampire-witch war.

I loved the quirky characters and the art style is adorable. Although the plot moves fairly quickly, the author does a good job of showing important details about the setting, while still leaving a little mystery. The book ends on a cliffhanger, but if you don't mind the formatting on webtoons, the next part starts on episode 20. (Which I will be getting to very soon.)

The witches and vampires have been enemies as long as Morgana can remember, and although Mum is trying to make peace with them, something goes horribly wrong. In the chaos, Morgana accidentally turns one of the vampires into a cat and has to start a quest to turn him back into himself.

I love the art style of this graphic novel, and the storyline has the potential to be full of thoughtful perspective. Like many Webtoons-based books, this one picked a spot and simply stopped rather than finding a good place where there's some sort of resolution, which is annoying, but I can always go onto Webtoons to see what happens next, and I'm sure more volumes will be forthcoming. Overall, this is quirky and magical with lots of fun surprises and adorable characters. I'll be looking forward to book two.

Thank you to NetGalley and Webtoon Unscrolled for this ARC. All opinions are my own.

"Morgana and Oz" by Miyuli is a very cute story with such gorgeous art! I really enjoyed the plot of this GN, with all the aspects I enjoy like witches, romance, cats, you name it. I have never read a story like this before so I thoroughly enjoyed the ideas and story line of it all. Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this one.

Thank you so much netgalley for sending me this arc ! I have been following Miyuli for a long time and was even around when Morgana & Oz were originally created. I read the comic when it first came out and I am super excited for it to become a physical book. If you like a cute supernatural story with a hint of mystery this is definitely a comic worth reading. I really love Morgana & Oz relationship and Miyuli's art is beautiful. The story is very interesting and I can't wait to see what comes next.

This graphic novel was a joy to read. Morgana (witch) and Oz (vampire) are from two rival clans, and the origins of their feud are yet unknown to the reader. After meeting at a peace dinner that turns into a clash between their clans, Morgana mistakenly turns Oz into a cat and must spend the rest of volume 1 trying to find a way to reverse her spell, but there's one problem: she's really bad at magic. These characters are so funny and endearing, and the art style perfectly suits the adorable and light-hearted energy of the story. Fans of fantasy graphics like Nimona by ND Stevenson and Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker will love accompanying Morgana and Oz on their adventures.

Witch Morgana and Vampire Oz are on opposite sides of a magical feud. When Morgana accidentally turn him into a cat, it could shift the tide towards violence.

Cute art, distinctive characters. Can't wait for volume 2!

This Romeo & Juliet style webtoon is about Morgana, heir to the Winterberry Witch Clan and born enemy of the Red Vampire Clan. She’s a kind, naive young witchling in her late teens struggling to come into her power. On the night of the meeting to propose a treaty amongst the two clans tensions rise when plans go awry. Morgana sets out with her new catty vampire companion to reverse her spell and seek out answers to who caused the treaty to implode.

This webtoon was so cute and a breathe of fresh air! I loved the dynamic between Oz and Morgana and gives me nostalgia from the fruits basket days of Kyo’s relationship with Tohru. It’s so entertaining to see two personalities hard headed on both sides of the spectrum. Born to be rivals but unexpectedly care for each others well being.

I have not yet read the webcomic but absolutely will now!

Obsessed! I need the rest of this webtoon ASAP. The artwork is adorable and the characters and precious. The story is very cute and fun. Morgana is a clumsy out of control witch just trying not to make things worse for her feuding witch family. Her brother mordecai is also seems like one of the good ones, her. Dad is a over the top and suspicious but I do love him. Oz is equally precious even after being turned into a cat. The dynamic between morgana and oz is fun and relatable. I’m excited to see more of them. 10/10 recommend!

Hello Fellow Readers,

Morgana and Oz is a story about a witch who can't really control her magic and a vampire she accidentally turned into a cat. This would probably be an easy fix if Morgana's family were currently feuding and on the verge of war with Oz's vampire clan. So, Morgana has to somehow fix this mistake without letting anybody know about her feline friend's true nature. I thought the story was going to be fun and easy tale filled with hijinks and funny situations but the overarching story is very interesting and I can't wait until we get to the true meat and politics of it all.

Morgana is super cute and relatable, you really can't help but sympathize with her. Oz seems very badass (even as a cute cuddly cat) and their interactions with each other are interesting. I like watching Oz realize certain things about the witching world and Morgana's family that he didn't know before. I also like seeing them learn about each other. I can't wait to see how this story develops and just where Morgana and Oz's relationship evolves.

Overall, interesting and I can't wait to read more.
