I am so excited to have read this and I can’t wait for Volume 2 and beyond! This webtoon has the cutest characters and such gorgeous art. The tone of it overall is light and fun even though there is danger happening between the witches and the vampires.
Morgana is a light of sweetness and hope and I feel like people can tell that just by being around her even for a short while. Oz the vampire had me blushing and him in cat form is the cutest thing. It’s a fun dynamic that these two have that wouldn’t have been formed if Morgana had full control of her magic. But, if this happy accident hadn’t happened Oz wouldn’t have gotten to know and see how good and kind Morgana is and I truly believe their relationship will propel a repairing of witches and vampires relationships.
I do feel they will have a tumultuous, funny, and adorable journey ahead. A balance of things that I don’t normally feel I am able to put all together in the same story. I can’t wait to read more! This is a story that I know I’ll end up being so obsessed with and devouring with each and every new volume.
If you want a cute, funny, and adventurous story, Morgana and Oz is for you! I highly recommend this colorful story.
Everyone has been telling me for so long to check out this Webtoon and I’ve been so absorbed in others I put it to the side. I wish I would’ve found this so much sooner because now I’m obsessed, and will have to go back to reading on Webtoon to finish what’s on there. The story is very engaging in the first 19 episodes and really hooks you.
The only notes I have are more on the technical side from my previous experience of designing books: on page 166 we get almost a repeat after the blank pages of 163. They are slightly different but what I noticed when comparing the book and the Webtoon together is that it looks like most of the “remember this happened at the end of the last episode” beginnings were usually removed in the book. This one is one that was left in. Just a minor inconsistency. The other technical issue I had was on page 204 where we get the flashback scene. In the Webtoon, it uses speech bubbles. I hate that those were removed because it made it incredibly difficult to read this text. I’m also if the blank pages between episodes is necessary. Some episode changes have them and some don’t so if you’re going to have them, I’d say use them between each or remove them all together.
Besides those minor technical issues, I think this is a great first volume to this wonderful Webtoon! Congratulations Miyuli and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group!
The story was both engaging and hilarious! Loved the characters and plot. I would definitely continue to read this series.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
I’m a bit biased in that I’ve fully started the webtoon this literal week so when I saw it on Netgalley I slammed that request button. I’m into the plot and our two mains are the absolute sweetest. It’s a really wholesome book honestly, even with the overarching looming plot (which I’m excited to see unravel more). It’s such a fun time!
This is a cute book with great art and the beginnings of a fun story. Morgana, a witch from a long line of witches, meets Oz, a vampire, when their clans meet to try and form a business partnership. Things go south, Morgana's magic fizzles weirdly, and suddenly Oz is a cat. The plot then shifts to focus on Morgana and Oz trying to find a way to reverse the spell, all while tensions that may lead to a war between vampires and witches is going on in the background. The plot in this first volume is focused more on Morgana and Oz and fleshing out their friendship. I think they're cute together and they interact well, but I was more interested in the B plot and hope that it comes to the forefront in later volumes. The art was the big selling point for me, there were parts where the plot faltered, but the art was always strong. I particularly love how Oz cat is drawn. I'm looking forward to seeing how the story progresses.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!
This is a super cute graphic novel! I can’t wait to read more. I know this is a very popular webcomic so I was super excited to see it featured here and it getting a wide spread audience. I can’t wait to go on more adventures with these 2 and see what happens next!
omg all of these characters are so attractive-especially the one at the end.
I really liked this! I feel like I haven't read many stories where vampire and witches are enemies. I really like the cute art style and can't wait to see where the story goes.
I loved this so much and am SO frustrated it ended on a cliffhanger! But, of course it did.
I can't wait to read more of this story! 10/10 no notes
Thank you NetGalley and WEBTOON for providing me a copy in exchange for an honest review!
What a fun first volume! Rival vampire and witch families!? Sign me up! This volume follows Morgana (a witch) and Oz (a vampire) and a negotiation gone wrong between their families. Each clan hates each other and blames the other for what happened. Morgana and Oz start to see not everything is as it seems and start to from a sort of friendship. I really liked the dynamic between the two. The art in this is amazing and super cute! I am excited to check out the next volume!
This was a cute story. I would be interested in reading vol 2. Side note: the giant water arms in the middle of every page was distracting and made some text difficult to read.
A Webtoon to heal your heart!!
Thank you to Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I cannot explain the excitement I had when I got approved for this webtoon (graphic novel). It's giving Mary and the Witchflower with a vampire sprinkled in for perfection.
Synopsis: Morgana is part of a long line family of witches and Oz is a vampire in a rival clan against the witches. It's a forbidden love story/Romeo & Juliet inspired graphic novel. Morgana accidentally turns Oz into an adorable kitty and they have to work together to undo the spell and mitigate the conflict between the two opposing forces. Cute!!
Let me tell you the art is phenomenal, vibes are immaculate. The nuance between the two MCs and their cute interactions I CANNOT!! This is an amazing first volume and I am looking forward to the next installments. This made my heart so happy! For all Webtoon comic lovers, look out for this one to be released September 24 this year.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Morgana and Oz (Vol. 1) is such a cute and lovable story that gives off Sabrina The Witch mixed with KiKi’s Delivery Service vibes. I absolutely love the banter and how Oz’s transformation allows him to “walk in Morgana’s shoes” so to speak. Morgana is a sweet girl that had big dreams, but is bogged down by the duty to her family and the want to be a perfect witch. Oz is a grumpy Vampire that is missing a sense of belonging and family. Such a cute YA Manga!

Thank you NetGalley for providing me this ARC! So thankful I got to ARC read Morgana and Oz. All opinions are honest and my own.
I absolutely loved this. The plot seems darker, but the main characters are adorable and so sweet. The whole witchy family is so sweet! And even some of the vampires! Honestly, I didn't expect to love it as much as I did.
Thank you so much to Webtoon and NetGalley, who provided an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
Morgana and Oz is such a cute story of a frazzled young witch trying to master her powers and help her family. Morgana's family hosts a gathering for the Red Clan Vampires in an attempt to facilitate peace. However, in the midst of chaos and confusion that occurs during that meeting, Morgana creates a magical mess of her own with Oz, vampire, that she needs to fix.
The book was super fun and went by too fast. It ends on a cliffhanager, so I eagerly ran over to Webtoon afterward to continue the story. Absolutely loved it!
This book was okay. I thought the premise was cute but that it was rather rushed. To be honest, I thought I was reading a manga by the cover so I was surprised to see that it wasn't. The art is good at times and only passable later on. The backgrounds always seem like voids and rushed. It very clearly has the pacing and style of a WebToon. This is not a knock against it but it felt like it lacked polish for a finalized graphic novel. This is not a must purchase for my library.
I remembered reading a bit of this on webtoon, but I was always so impatient to wait for a new episode to come out. Eventually I kind of dwindled in my reading of it, so I saw this as the perfect opportunity to pick it back up and read the first volume of it. It was as perfect as I remembered, and I've been really into the fantasy genre lately, so it was easy to get consumed by it and read it all in one go. I've always been entertained by webtoons, and this one is no different. I was pulled into the world of Morgana and Oz, and found myself not wanting to leave.
I have been following the author on social media for a couple years because I was so drawn to the design of their original characters.
Of course, I was so excited to finally get to read about Oz and Morgana!
It was a fun and quick read.
The designs and overall art are lovely. Pacing was good. I believe it solidly established the characters, some lore, and where the story may go.
I’m definitely looking forward to the second volume!
Okay this was so fun! Like oh my gosh, it felt like diving back into my nostalgic paranormal reads from when I was a teen. I dove in and devoured it in one sitting as soon as the approval hit my inbox!
🔮witch vs vampire struggles
🔮accidental magic
🔮bad blood and miscommunication between each side
🔮forced proximity
🔮beginning struggles for peace
I feel like this story could be enjoyed by so many different ages, from middle grade to adult. I mean, I loved it and I’m in my late 20s. It’s cutesy but also has such a solid, engaging plot to go with it.
Young witch struggles with spells. Witch family and vampire clan are at odds. One accidental spell by Morgana in the midst of chaos at a failed peace meeting between the two groups causes young vampire Oz to turn into a little white cat and triggers the journey the titular characters must go on to reverse the problem. They get to learn more about the other race and find that each side isn’t as bad as it appears, though there are deeper problems to the ancient feud than what is being discussed.
The art was adorable and the scenes flowed so smoothly from one panel to the next. Even the transitions went through without a hitch. I’ve enjoyed getting to rediscover my love for graphic novels and this tale has definitely won over my heart. After the way Volume One ended, I’m going to need to skidaddle on over to WEBTOON to see if I can find season 2 🤫😉
Thank you to the creator and publisher for giving me a chance to experience this unscrolled version early. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to read this in exchange for an honest review!
This is gonna be a fun and cute series to continue to read! I really like how this first volume played out, and I'm excited to learn more about the protagonists as the story progresses! Also love having full-color graphic novels!!
Thank you Netgalley and WEBTOON for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
"Morgana and Oz" by Miyuli is such a fun story with absolutely gorgeous art! Set against the backdrop of a longstanding feud between witch and vampire clans, the story follows Morgana, a young witch from a powerful lineage, and Oz, a member of the rival vampire clan. When a botched peace negotiation results in Oz being transformed into a cat by Morgana's accidental spell, the two find themselves embarking on a journey to reverse the curse and uncover the mysteries surrounding their clans.
One of the standout features of the book is its charming artwork, filled with vibrant colors and expressive character designs reminiscent of anime. I absolutely loved the facial expressions of the different characters as well as the beautiful, detailed backgrounds. The illustrations effectively convey the emotions and dynamics between the characters, particularly the hilarious facial expressions of the feline Oz.
I also really enjoyed the compelling plot, which combines elements of mystery and romance with humor as well, especially with the Oz as a cat moments, which were so much fun. As a cat lover, having Oz as a cat made the book even more enjoyable. I also just really liked the height difference between the two as I don’t think it’s often shown having the female MC being taller than the male. Just little details like that made me enjoy the story even more.
Overall, "Morgana and Oz" offers a delightful reading experience, blending humor, intrigue, and heartwarming moments in equal measure. The reading experience was really enhanced by the imaginative storytelling, endearing characters, and enchanting artwork. The plot was engaging as well and I can’t wait to read more about Oz and Morgan’s adventures, especially with the romance developing between them. I also hope to continue seeing cat Oz throughout the series. Whether you're a fan of fantasy, romance, or just looking for an engaging read, this book is sure to leave you eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series.
