This was so cute oh my god??? Clumsy witch girlfriend and himbo vampire boyfriend whom she accidentally turns into a cat. What’s not to love? The art style is bubbly and sweet, and the story is pretty lighthearted aside from some witch vs vampire clan feuding. Morgana can do no wrong, and seeing Oz slowly fall for her is adorable. Can’t wait to read the rest of this webtoon!!!
I've been a fan of Miyuli for ages and have seen Morgana and Oz pop up all over the place for years. I hadn't got the chance to check out the story until now. All I can say is that it's wonderfully made (deep respect for the comic form; the tenacity required!), the characters are lovable (especially Oz as a cat! I'm a sucker for them), and the story's nicely paced! The first volume ends at a great place and I'm itching to know more.
Thanks to Netgalley, Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group and WEBTOON Unscrolled for providing me with the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This is a very cute comic with Romeo and Juliet vibes. If you like cats, witches, magic, vampires, family rivalries, coming of age, and first love, you will enjoy this.
A very cute read with interesting characters. The art style is very eye catching and dynamic, it really catches your eye right away!
Story and characters are memorable and you get attached to them right away. Morgana and Oz are characters that I know my coworkers and I will be talking about excitedly.
Super sweet story about family and fitting in. Morgana’s and Mordecai’s interactions were some of my favorites!
There is nothing better than a beautifully illustrated graphic novel to read than Morgana and Oz. Because of the cute characters, the art, colors, and storyline make you enjoy and engage with the book even more. There is something for everyone in this graphic novel; it has everything: family dynamics, mystery, magic, rivalry, potential romance, cats, witches, vampires, and much more.
I am super excited for this - great early reviews, lovely illustrations (great color palate) and a really interesting crossover premise. I'm still excited for it, but the watermarks were really aggressively covering words/pictures in a way that it was giving me a headache to read.
In the best way, this was way too short for me to be satisfied! I adored this first volume. The art is sweet, the characters already feel three-dimensional, and I wanted so much more of them! I am now eagerly and impatiently awaiting the next volume.
A witch struggling with her powers accidentally turns a rival vampire clan guy into a cat... and now they're stuck together trying to undo the curse and find out who is out to destroy either clans. Morgana is from a long line of witches and Oz is from the vampire clan. A chance encounter and a clan meeting gone wrong... Morgana accidentally turns Oz into a cat and now they have to find the spell to undo it and also figure out how to stop the possible war brewing between the Vampires and the Witches and who tried to poison the blood at the meeting. It's only the beginning of the story (episodes 1-19) and the slow blooming romance between Oz and Morgana has begun. This was such a cute read and I'm so happy this webtoon series is being made into a book. I adore Morgana so much and I can't wait to read the rest of the books! The artwork is really cute and the overall story has been fun to read. It's a cute start to the series and I really love Morgana's family so much. I can't wait to read the next book!

I loved this! The art was beautiful, colorful, and easily digestible. I enjoyed all of the characters; they're all defined enough to be complex and interesting. I think each side at the heart of this story has unique problems and the tension that comes from it is well done and interesting. I can't wait to see what happens to Moragana and Oz next!
It's an instant favorite!
I have seen and heard a few great things about Morgana and Oz, so I've been meaning to get to it. Seeing volume one on Netgalley made me request it, and OH, I am thrilled I did because this is now a fast favorite!
I love witches, I love vampires, and I love magic! This graphic novel/Webtoon has it all, and I cannot believe I didn't start it sooner. Right off the bad, we can see there is trouble for Morgana's family; from accusations of dark magic to hits with portraits and badblood with the vampires, and my detective hat was ON thinking about theories! It is also very clear that the vampures have been given a bad wrap, too, and there is a lot of misunderstanding and hurt, and I know there are going to be some amazing stories/backstories to come!
Artstyle and panelling and pleasing to the eye and make it easy to follow the story, which is light-hearted and humorous in tone, even when it deals with what could be, in any other hands, a pretty grim tale. I am happy that Miyuli is getting a publication: I've followed their art from various fandom platforms over the years, and glad to see it come to paper.
I am however deeply aggravated by how distracting and detrimental to the reading experience is the obnoxious watermark. There is one thing protecting the ARCs from misuse, but nearly opaque black text pasted across each page in giant letters, across images and speech bubbles, is really overkilling it in for a graphic novel. I don't know how to register that with the publisher because it's not the first ARC of theirs I've tried but the experience is miserable every time, which is unfair on the stories.
I am instantly obsessed with "Morgana and Oz" and need to read more ASAP!
Morgana and Oz follows a witch clan and vampire clan who have been at odds for ages. When peace talks go awry, a young witch Morgana accidentally turns a vampire named Oz into a cat and has to use her magic to turn him back. Only problem is Morgana has a ton of trouble getting spells right! Will she be able to turn Oz back to human before chaos ensues for the vampire and witch clans?
The artwork in this book was so cute! A lot of witchy colors were used throughout, including black and purple, and I loved the style the characters were drawn (similar to anime style). I thought the facial expressions from the cats were hilarious and really brought their emotions across to the reader.
The plot to this book hooked me immediately. There's a bit of a mystery as to why the vampire and witches are fighting, where the grandpa has gone off too, and what was served in the blood to the vampires to make them go zombielike. I need answers! I also loved the chemistry between Morgana and Oz. It's clear they don't have as many qualms about the opposite race as their surrounding families do. I can't wait to see what happens next for these characters.
Absolutely recommend! 5/5 stars and would binge read the entire series if it was completed! I will be following for the latest updates on webtoon and will definitely read book 2 when it's released. This would be great for fantasy readers, vampire and witch lovers, and for those who like Romeo and Juliet vibes.
Thank you SO much to netgalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for providing an arc in exchange for an honest review!
