What happens when a struggling witch meets an angsty vampire? Either love or war.

Absolutely adorable! I seriously couldn't get enough of this book. This is like a cuter (hopefully happier) supernatural version of Romeo and Juliet except there are talking cats!
I was drawn in by the cover art and the art is just beautiful throughout, there are so many cute details, especially the way the emotions are shown. I just felt so happy whilst reading this and that will be the biggest selling factor when recommending this to other people. I was smiling so much. The characters are immediately loveable, especially Morgana, she's a mess and who can't relate to that? The budding friendship between Morgana and Oz was really fun to see, how they learn about each other and that they might have been wrong about their assumptions. This was well balanced with the more intense background plot to do with the warring clans and a mystery is unfolding, I am so excited to see how this will turn out and I will be reading the next book as soon as I can.

Take a accident-prone witch, a lost vampire turned cat, and a coven/clan war, and chaos is guaranteed.

The witches are determined to finally find peace with the rival vampire clan after generations of fighting and invite them over for a first dinner. No magic is allowed, but Morgana can't stand the color of the dress her mother chose for her. When her magic backfires—again—, it doesn't unleash chaos but she does run across someone lurking outside on her way to the dumpster. As her and the vampire, Oz, exchange first greetings as awkwardly as possible, the dinner inside erupts into chaos. Soon, the house is standing in flames, the vampires swear deadly war, and Morgana ends up with a vampire-turned-kitty in her arms. Somehow, everything needs to be fixed, but Morgana is the last witch, who can be expected to achieve that job.

I was expecting quite a bit more romance, and I'm so glad that this aspect didn't hit nearly as strong as it might have. Instead, this read takes on a sweet, funny, and chaotic tone with just a touch of secret agendas to add a dash of mystery...but very slight. The tale concentrates more on Morgana and her inability to control of her magic as she desperately wants to meet expectations and become a good witch. Her super kind personality and willingness to overlook others' negative points, makes her a heroine to root for. She's naive but not stupid and has quite a bit of potential for growth during the series. Oz doesn't come across as strongly in this first volume, which works fine and simply lays the groundwork for more to come on his end. He does add the needed grit to create smile-worthy situations, though.

This is a fun, easy read with quick and even pacing the entire way through. While the tensions between the coven and clan members are obvious, darker moments are held at bay by the lighter humor and quirky situations. The over-the-top personalities of most of the characters is endearing, and yet, it's clear that a couple might not hold the genuine intentions as they appear to have. But this side is only hinted at and, I'm assuming, will carry much more importance as the series continues.

The graphics tend to take darker hues (not always but overall), while the characters...especially Morgana...remain wide-eyed and more open in their style. This fits well with the story's atmosphere, and also allows the hints of darker aspects to maintain present without gaining too much footing against the sillier side. Many scenes also hang toward the individual characters rather than fuller settings and surroundings. This allows the personalities and emotions to shine. When more is needed, the backgrounds are well done, making it easy to slip into every moment.

It's a fun read, and I am looking forward to seeing where it goes from here because there promises to be several unexpected twists and turns...and tons of character growth.

Morgana is a witch who is really just trying to grasp the basics of her magic while her family is planning on entertaining their rival vampire clan. The meeting led by her mother is supposed to help the witches and vampires work together but it might be the start of a war. When Morgana finds herself in the alley next to her house talking to a vampire named Oz a small misunderstanding ends up turning him into a cat. Now Morgana and Oz have to team up to figure out how to turn him back and what is really going on between the witches and the vampires. So excited for the next volume of this story and I a loving the art style

I'm so thrilled we are finally getting a physical edition for this series! I have been reading the series from its debut on webtoon and fell in love immediately when I saw Miyuli's dynamic and colorful art style and stunning character design. Also just the amount of small details in the background's and setting elements bring the story to life and gives a 3D effect where you can almost step right into the world. As for the story, Morgana and Oz is such an impressive debut and the characters and magical system and world are beautify whimsical and unique that I can see myself coming back to it time after time. I'm such a sucker for a height difference in romances where the male lead is shorter so it was an element that drew me in when I first saw the character designs, but the chemistry and dynamic between the two when the story keeps your attention and you are hooked to see what will happen with them next. I can't wait for my preordered copy comes in so I can finally hold the pages in person and read again. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.

This was a cute, fast-paced, and twisty graphic novel. I enjoyed it from start to finish. Morgana is a sweet young woman, a witch who isn't as good at magic as she'd liked to be, and a loving older sister. Oz is a Vampire trying his best, amongst vampires who are trying their best, but aren't afraid to do what they have to to protect their own. There was all the build up of a twist, with a delightful cliffhanger that left me more than excited for Volume 2. It seems there are secrets upon secrets in the town of Winterberry, and more to the simple Vampire vs Witch family rivalry than meets the eye. I can't wait for more!

Witches and Vampires have been at odds for generations. During an important meeting to discuss a treaty between the two families, Morgana, an inexperienced witch, accidentally turns Oz, a vampire, into a cat. We follow Morgana as she tries her best to reverse her spell, and we learn more about the political landscape surrounding them.

It's fun to watch Morgana and Oz interact with eachother! Morgana is so earnest that you can't help but love her, and Oz, though grumpy, grows on her too. It seems that both families genuinely wanted the treaty to go well, but they let their paranoia get to them. I'm curious to learn who the mastermind is and who sabotagued the treaty.

If I could give this a million stars I would. I absolutely adore these characters and this world. I need this to get picked up and turned into an animated tv series. I need to know what happens to these two adorable characters.

I love anything witchy and this is no different. Our main character, Morgana has difficulties with her magic and she accidentally turns Oz, a vampire into a cat.

Vampires and Witches do not get along in this world and tensions amongst them grows by the day especially when a meeting of the two groups goes awry.

I am looking forward to seeing where this story and these characters go from here.

My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this reading experience.

Thank you WEBTOON Unscrolled for a copy of Morgana and Oz Vol 1!

"What happens when a struggling witch meets an angsty vampire? Either love or war."

Cozy fantasy with enemies to lovers trope - reminiscent of Montagues and Capulets?? Sign me up! I enjoyed this and it was the perfect lighthearted, quick read for me! I'm looking forward to the next volumes to see how the story unfolds.

Really promising start to what seems like a hopefully romantic enemies to lovers story! I definitely want to check out the rest of the chapters released! This was cute and silly, while also having an overarching story. I'll definitely be recommending this one!

Morgana and Oz was a whirlwind of a volume one! Right from the get-go, everything you need to know is established, and the action kicks in. The characters are very cute and endearing, and the story itself has me hooked. I wanted more once I'd finished!

Thank you to Netgalley and Webtoon/Wattpad for the e-ARC!

Chaos unfolds after a meeting between the Red Vampire clan and the Winterberry family. Morgana, a struggling witch from a long line of prodigies, and Oz, an angsty vampire, find themselves in each other's company after Morgana accidentally turns Oz into a cat. Will their friendship heal the multi-generational feud? And will they become romantically involved?

I picked this webtoon up last spring on a whim because the artwork looks super cute. I ended up binging what was currently out in day and have been following episode updates ever since.

Morgana and Oz has the classic angsty tough guy and struggling girl looking for self-confidence trope. The family and vampire clan dynamics are really fun, the mystery element is interesting, but I feel like it's going to have a predictable reveal... and the slowburn romance? *Chef's kiss*

Overall, it's a really great Webtoon! Probably one of my top 10, maybe 5! I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes, and I have my eye on physical prints. I really like how they pieced the line Webtoon together to make a cohesive comic book.

I had the pleasure to review a really fun arc (release date 3 September) provided by Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group and NetGalley, thank you!!

Morgana is a witch, part of a family of witches. She is young and naive and she reminded me a lot of Kiki from Kiki’s Delivery Service!!

Morgana wants to take over the family business but her spells keep going wrong..

When her family invites the Red Vampire Clan for dinner to finally try to negotiate peace after decades of 0 communication, Morgana is upstairs setting her dress on fire xd instead of successfully altering it (her mother made her wear it and she hates it) with magic. The vampires arrive and arguments arise soon. And when they sense that the blood they’re getting to drink might be poisoned, things get out of hand and they flee. Well almost all of the vampires flee except one. But who poisoned the blood? And what is it doing to the vampires? And are both sides really as bad as they believe eachother to be?

The one vampire that didn’t get to flee, is called Oz and he was accidentally turned into a white cat by Morgana while she was trying to get rid of her burned dress outside. She’s the only one who can understand Oz and they’re not very honest with eachother at first but it was really good for Oz to see how the witches really live, the struggles they face and especially how kind Morgana is. And when they finally find a way to reverse the spell and Morgana ends up in the vampires’ hands when she’s looking for the final ingredient, she does some unexpected
discoveries of her own too, regarding the vampire clan.

I loved this graphic novel and I look forward to reading the next volume! There’s a normal cute other cat named Molly in there too by the way but our vampire cat Oz doesn’t really like her and he tries to stay away from Morgana’s cat obsessed dad xd too.

This ends in a mysterious way and although there are a lot of loose ends, this did feel like a long and satisfying story. I can’t wait to read more.

Rating: 4.5
Genre: Supernatural Fantasy
Thank you Webtoon Unscrolled for providing an e-copy through NetGalley.

Summary: The famous Winterberry witch family and the Red vampire clan are heated rivals, both with a dark past and a war brewing beneath the surface. Morgana is the clumsy daughter of the head Winterberry witch who can’t even make a single spell work. Oz is the only vampire in the Red vampire clan who feels like an outsider. When a dinner between the two sides goes awry, Morgana and Oz meet in a chance encounter, with Morgana accidentally turning Oz into a cat. Together, they will have to break Oz’s spell, stop their families from starting a war, stop an older evil from resurfacing, and maybe fall in love in the process.

What I Liked: Morgana and Oz is a fun romance full of intrigue, wild spells, supernatural creatures, and heart. Morgana is the clumsy and socially awkward witch who is far from being a protege, but is determined to make things right, put a stop to the suffering happening from the feuding, and protect her family. Oz is a stand-offish, reluctant, and just as awkward counterpart, who learns to open up and see both sides of the story. Together, they make a very cute couple, breaking stereotypes (she’s bigger/taller than him!) and trying their best to make things work. The art is simple, slightly bubbly, and manga/manhwa-style, with bold colors that make reading entertaining and visually appealing. The plot thickens as Morgana and Oz try to figure out the source of the two clans fighting and the hidden dangers that are eager to make a return to wreak havoc. Overall, a fun and cute supernatural romance that anyone can enjoy.

What I Didn’t Like: Nothing!

Recommend to: Teens who like Romeo-and-Juliet romance, cute romance, witches, vampires, mystery, and magic in graphic novels.

Morgana and Oz is a webtoon I had on my list for a while now, and even better I was allowed to read it as an advanced reading copy!

I loved reading this! The art is gorgeous and radiated cosiness and asking me to continue reading. The plot is really cute and gives me Romeo and Juliet vibes. While I am not a big fan of romance novels, I loved this one nevertheless.

100% will continue reading the series, either on webtoon or (not so) patiently waiting for the other volumes.

Thank you Netgalley and publisher for this e-arc in exchange for an honest review
