I loved the story, the world building and meeting the different characters. I felt completely immersed in the story and couldn't stop reading it.
I'm a harsh critic when it comes to YA thrillers, but I think this one might be my new Karen M. McManus. (I said MIGHT!) Twist after twist after twist with a romance filled with chemistry on the side, this kept me guessing the whole time. I especially love a character who thinks she knows everything and is proven wrong, only because the person she suspected has met the same fate. I truly did not know what would happen or how this would turn out, and I honestly went back and forth on who I thought did it which is also rare for me. I think I've met my match! Definitely the perfect summer read to check out in July.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the elements of romance that were intertwined within the mystery, and how that aspect did not seem forced. Some of the characteristics of the main character were a bit annoying, but she wasn’t supposed to be perfect. I did not guess the twist which also made this book even better!
Absolutely fantastic from start to finish!
I chose this one on a whim and it completely paid off. Immediately this book pulled me into the story.
Addie hates that hours before her sister died, she said horrible things to her… now she is consumed with finding out the truth about what happened that night. Ruled an accident, Addie knows there was more to it all.
Now, a year later, another death has rocked their community. Thatcher, the boy she thought was responsible for Fiona’s death is found dead in the same place.
Addie’s life has fallen to pieces in the past year. Her ex-boyfriend hates her and her best friend, too. The only person who seems to get it is Seth, Thatcher’s cousin. We delve into the history between Seth and Addie, and moreover, the history of the whole group.
With multiple other players in this deadly mystery, Addie doesn’t know who she can trust. Everyone seems to be keeping secrets and Addie NEEEDS to know the truth.
This is a fast paced, very well written, engaging ya thriller that I could not put down.
Thank you to the publisher for my arc!
This definitely took a turn I didn’t expect, however I did enjoy the story but the main character was super annoying and kept flip flopping on her decisions but I ended up enjoying everyone else but her.
