I loved the big city girl and small town cowboy vibe in this book! I enjoyed watching the FMC find herself in this book and learn to open the walls around her heart!

The story is fast-paced and left me completely satisfied yet wishing there was more for me to binge read. The connection between Wes and Ada was palpable, I loved how they were obviously enamored with each other from the very beginning but there was still so much tension and pining. The two were so soft and healthy for each other, Wes was so patient and understanding of Ada's troubles; the man was an absolute gentleman. I cannot wait for the next installment of this heartwarming series!

I really loved this story. It's sweet and definitely spicy. The characters are well developed and I love how she touched on depression and in a MMC, it's refreshing. I loved this series. 5/5!

Can not quite but I’m to words how much I loved this. You have two people who are desperate for people to show up for them and they do that for each other so perfectly. So many swoon worthy moments that had me kicking me feet!

*swoon* This was such a feel-good romance that I am in absolute love with! I know I'm reading the series out of order, but now I can't wait to get my hands on the first one.

This book stayed on my mind constantly, it was a can't eat, can't sleep feeling! I just had to keep reading!

With lots of character development, this felt like a perfect pairing of two individuals who absolutely lifted each other up. There was tense romance and testing new waters, forced proximity, and client-business woman tropes. Such a great feeling all around!

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for my ebook!

The story’s vibrant characters and fast-paced banter make it an engaging read from start to finish. Sage’s ability to capture the nuances of rural life adds authenticity and warmth to the narrative, grounding the romance in a vividly realized setting. The chemistry between the protagonists crackles with tension and humor, making their journey so exciting.

“You're the moon and I’m the tides. You pull me in without even trying, and I come to you willingly. I always will.”

TDR: Let me suggest my favorite book by Lyla Sage and my favorite cowboy romance to date.

I am officially in my cowboy romance era. Wow, just wow. I liked Done and Dusted a lot, but Swift and Saddled has my heart. I love it so much. I want to move to Meadowlark, join Ada’s girls night, and find a cowboy of my own. Don’t tell my tech bro husband. (IYKYK) 🤭

I love how Lyla wrote Ada and Weston’s love story. It felt so raw and real. It was more relatable than I expected. Ada’s struggle and journey to belong really pressed on a tender spot in my heart, one that I didn’t know was still there. Her ‘not like other girls attitude really was as if she was in my head. That she was saying and thinking things of my past and maybe even my present. It wasn’t hard for me to fall in love with Ada and want nothing but love, happiness, and true belonging for her.

As for Weston, I don’t even know where to begin with this gem of a MMC. Top tier book boyfriend material. He exudes all the sexiness and swagger you expect from a rugged cowboy but all the tenderness that has you in the puddle. Phew.

If you’ve read Book 1 you’ll be happy to know there is even more of the Ryder family in this book. There is something really special about them and I love that we keep getting to visit the ranch and peek into their lives and fall more in love with them. Go ahead and sign me up, I’ll bring a casserole for the next Ryder Day.

Tropes + things
city girl x country boy
black cat x golden retriever
mental health rep
found family
dual POV/1st person

This book can be read as a standalone but would recommend reading Done & Dusted first.

Swift and Saddled by Lyla Sage is a fun, fiery romance between a city girl determined to stand on her own and a cowboy who’s not afraid to chase what he wants. If you like a romance with a bit of heat, strong characters, and a great setting, Swift and Saddled is a solid pick. It’s the perfect blend of passion, personal growth, and a love that feels like it could weather anything.

this series continues to be good and strong and steamy and I love all the characters and the core family. Looking forward to the next one

This is the third installment in this cowboy-ish series by Lyla Sage. While I have enjoyed the first two books in this series, she kind of lost me with this one. It was bad, just super repetitive. Three stars, on a generous scale.

i absolutely FLEW through this one after devouring the first book in the rebel blue series this week and it was a fantastic book #2! i loved weston instantly in book #1 and only grew to love him more in this one. suuuuuch a golden retriever winner of a man! the slow burn and steam of this one was PERFECTLY executed, and i could relate so much to ada's tendency to run when things felt real. the way their relationship evolved and worked through their own issues was so beautiful and tender and REAL -- truly, lyla sage is my new favorite romance writer!!!

Summary:
Ada Hart has worked hard to rebuild her life, leaving behind a failed marriage and the pain of dropping out of her interior design program. Now thriving with her own business, Ada lands her biggest career opportunity yet: renovating one of the largest ranches in Wyoming. Determined to stay independent, the last thing she needs is a man to complicate her life—especially after a chance encounter at a dive bar with a magnetic cowboy who leaves her breathless.
Weston Ryder, a cheerful cowboy with big dreams for his family’s ranch, is thrilled to discover that the woman he shared an unforgettable kiss with at the bar is the interior designer for his ranch project. For Wes, it feels like fate, but Ada isn’t so easily convinced. Despite the undeniable spark between them, she’s intent on keeping things professional, focusing solely on the job.
As they navigate their growing connection while working together, Ada’s walls remain firmly intact, even as Wes hopes to break through. Will they risk their ambitions for a chance at love, or will their fears keep them apart?

Review:
Swift and Saddled started off strong, with an intriguing premise and likable characters, but it quickly lost momentum. Ada’s overbearing nature and lack of emotional intelligence made her difficult to connect with, while Wes’s devotion felt overly submissive. Their romance leaned heavily on physical chemistry, with little emotional depth or buildup, making the connection feel rushed and repetitive.

While the book had some enjoyable moments—particularly the steamy scenes and fast-paced writing—it didn’t deliver the same charm as the first installment in the series. It’s a light, low-stakes read that might appeal as a quick palate cleanser, but overall, it felt underwhelming and lacked the substance to make it truly memorable.

This book is a bit of a turn on the gumpy/sunshine trope, in which the guy protagonist (Weston) is sunshine and the woman (Ada) is the grumpy. Ada’s not really grumpy, though, she’s just a private and quiet person who likes to keep to herself. I really like the way Lyla Sage wrote Ada, and loved the chemistry between her and Weston.

If you’re a fan of Chestnut Springs or other western romances, then giddy on up to this series.

Thanks to NetGalley and Random House for early access to this book in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve accepted the fact that theirs alot of cowboy romances out there and even though I do love a good spicy read I fear this is a little overrated and a little forgettable.

I liked the first book in this series, but loved this one! Wes and Ada were so well matched and sweet together. I liked them individually as well. They had a nice connection and both grew as their relationship developed.

The Ranch is a fantastic location and I loved getting to see it through Wes and Ada's eyes. The secondary characters were featured quite a bit and there were hints for future books, but not so much that it took away from the main plot here. It was nicely paced and I enjoyed this book so much.

Swift and Saddled is the second book in the Rebel Blue Ranch. This book is about the Wes which is Emmy's brother. Ada and Wes were too cute. I loved the way he thought of her and how he sees her. Wes is such a prince charming, loving, caring, thoughtful even with his issues he is such a sweetheart. The phrase "I see you ADA, I always see you even when you won't look at me" OMG!! that was everything.
Lyla Sage is such a great writer, she makes me fall in love with all of the characters. I cant wait to keep reading the rest of the series.
