Might be the best book I've read so far this year! I started reading it at about 8:30 pm, got hooked, and the next thing I knew it was 11:30 and I was 70% done. This book was amazing. Their relationship was everything I needed. They were gentle with each other's history and feelings, they had great communication and banter, and the mirror scene in Baby Blue left me with no words and my heart melted when he met her at the town sign.

I would have liked more about her marriage, we got little tidbits but for how much it was affecting her, I wanted there to be more. However, I did like how open Wes was about depression and it wasn't something he needed to hide or be ashamed about.

I already wanted to visit Blue Rebel Ranch because of Done and Dusted and how amazing this place seemed. But getting to know more about the Ryder family makes you love them so much more, especially Amos and Riley. Amos sounds like the best dad and grandfather but also great at meddling like when he created the girl night at Baby Blue.

I loved this one! I loved Ada and Wes! I really enjoyed Done and Dusted so I had a feeling this would be the same. This is just a warm hug of a book! I got family, I got romance, I got character growth, I got mental health positivity, and we got to add to our Blue Ranch girl gang. I can’t wait for more! I’m hoping that we actually get Cam’s story as well but I’m ready for Lost and Lassoed!

this follow up to done and dusted did not disappoint at all! while I admit, the first book wasn't my favorite this one snuck up on me. wes & ada's love story is so tender and sweet. i saw so much of myself in ada and her growth was beautiful. wes was also such a standout. I loved the depression representation and i just loved this story so much. the side characters also made this book, i sense a second chance book coming with cam and dusty and i am so excited. the gus and teddy crumbs were everything and they had me cracking up. i am so looking forward to their book this year! thank you so much to netgalley and random house for the ARC!

I absolutely adored this read and devoured it cover to cover as quickly as I could! Done and Dusted was one of my fav reads from last year, so I immediately jumped at the opportunity to get my hands on this ARC!

This book was such a fun mixture of getting to know new characters and cameos of our old favourites! I loved seeing Emmy and Luke's HEA.

We follow Ada Hart as she works to help Wes Ryder bring back to life the Baby Blue house. She’s a designer from the city looking to leave her past behind, make a name for herself, and grow her career, and he’s a cowboy with a big dream and a desire to prove himself.

I love how vulnerable and authentic Lyla Sage's writing is. I honestly felt like I was reading about a real couple! Their relationship developed at a realistic pace leaving me fully invested and completely satisfied by the end.

I related to Ada A LOT. She feels a little standoffish with new people, awkward, and worries no one will like her once they truly get to know her. It takes her time to open up around others and make new friends. I loved getting to watch her become more comfortable and creating connections with others while not losing sight of who she is simply to please them. She was flourishing at the ranch and I loved to see it.

Wes was the biggest sweetheart EVER. He is the perfect picture of a golden retriever boyfriend. I loved how patient, kind, and nurturing he is and how well he treats our girl. It was fantastic how well he communicated with Ada and shared his vulnerabilities, all the parts of himself that make him HIM. I really appreciated the mental health representation and the open discussion about depression. It was done beautifully.

The spice in this read was perfection and didn't feel like it was the main subject of the book. Just a fun little bonus! THAT MIRROR SCEEN!! Oh my goodness!

One thing to note is that I didn’t totally love the end conflict. I didn’t think it was necessary for their story and it felt a little out of the blue for me, but it was resolved swiftly and didn’t dampen the overall read for me.

Now it's time for us to FINALLY FIND OUT WHY Teddy and Gus hate each other's guts!! I honestly can't wait for their book!!

4.5 stars!!! alexa play cowboy like me 🤠 i just somehow knew this book was going to be a 5 star read for me since i added it to my goodreads tbr in september! i was sooo excited for this release and painstakingly counting down the days and asking my local bookstore when they were going to get it in. and let me say, this book did NOT disappoint! i loved all the tropes (grumpy/sunshine, badass heroine from the city with an interesting career, sweet genuine and charismatic cowboy love interest who can handle her black cat energy and match it when appropriate, strangers to lovers, forced proximity, mental health rep, good communication, and many more i’m prob missing!) Wes and Ada’s dynamic was just my fave.

i highlighted and bookmarked so many quotes and i can’t wait to get a physical copy to annotate!

thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this arc in exchange for my honest review 🫶

4.5 stars rounded up. All the stars in the sky for Wes Ryder though, really.

In this return to Rebel Blue Ranch, Ada Hart has arrived to help make Wes’s dream of a guest ranch on the property a reality. She has no idea that the handsome cowboy she impulsively kisses in the bar on her first night in town happens to be her new ‘boss’. Ada has been hurt and torn down by love in the past and has no interest in getting tangled up with a man who should be off limits anyway. Wes and the nature of undeniable chemistry have other ideas though.

Wes. Sweet, patient, prince of a man Wes. This man is a gem. I know I already said he was patient, but truly, he was so understanding and considerate, and he knew exactly how to make Ada feel at ease. That said, the man also knows when and how to take charge. He delivers when the time calls for it. He’s also open and vulnerable with Ada, which helps her feel safe letting her walls down in return.

Ada arrives at Rebel Blue with a fortress around her heart and understandably so given her past relationship. Her history never gets laid out in too much overwhelming detail, but there is enough presented to know it affected her deeply. I loved seeing her lower her guard as she found her place in the Ryder family and at Rebel Blue. It took her a while to fully trust what she was feelings and that good things were meant for her, but she got there eventually. It was sweet to see her forge friendships with the other women as well.

I love a good home renovation storyline, so my minor wish would have been for the Baby Blue project to have been featured a bit more in scenes Ada and Wes. There’s more telling about it than showing, but my feelings might just be nitpicky because it’s something I enjoy seeing detailed out on page.

I saw a potential setup for a fourth book in the series that I think would be great, but in the meantime I can’t wait for what’s to come in Gus and Teddy’s book next. Thank you to NetGalley and Random House/Dial Press for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 Stars! I read this book in one night and loved every second of it. The power dynamic that comes with Wes being Ada's boss worried me prior to reading, but Lyla Sage executed it so well. Wes and Ada felt like a breath of fresh air in terms of how realistic their characters felt, and I appreciated that they were both able to be fleshed out independently of one another. I'm a sucker for a cowboy romance, and this is no exception! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this eArc in exchange for my honest review.

This had a bit of a slow start for me but it really picked up in the last half. I absolutely adored Wes! He and Ada’s relationship really warmed my heart!

Everything you could ask for in a cowboy romance! I was so excited to get back to Rebel Blue Ranch, Weston and Ada’s story did not disappoint. Weston Ryder gives off the golden retriever energy which is so swoon worthy. I love that Wes was so open about his struggles with depression, its not something you read often in books. I love Ada’s character and could relate so much to her. She has so much energy and passion for interior design. I loved the way she had a vision that also connected with Westons vision. In the end I thought it was great that Weston knew Ada so well that he knew exactly what her last move would be. I thought it was the perfect follow up to Done and Dusted. I loved found family aspect and how all the characters had a cameo in Swift and Saddled. I can’t wait for the next book!!

Lyla Sage does it again and I am officially obsessed with Rebel Blue Ranch!
Weston and Ada are a take on the Black-Cat/Golden-Retriever trope that I haven't seen used before. Rather than being harsh, cruel, or snappy, Ada is guarded, hurt, and redefining herself. Weston is a walking green flag, who could not be sweeter if he tried.

Thank you NetGalley for providing this ARC for early Review!

Having mixed feelings about this book, but ultimately walked away disappointed after reading Done and Dusted. I love this world the author has created, but wasn't totally bought in on this particular romance. At some points it felt as if the author was giving each main character so much back ground on their previous failed relationships, that she didn't do enough to sell the relationship between them in the current day. Some of the dialogue went straight past cheesy to downright unrealistic. After the half-way point I was just reading to finish the book and wasn't rooting for either character. Writing itself was good and I'll keep an eye out for the next installment (Gus and Teddy??)

I love love LOVE a small town romance and having read Done and Dusted when it came out, I just couldn’t wait for the rest of the series to release.
Let me start this by saying that I really enjoy Lyla’s writing, the descriptions made me feel like I was in Rebel Blue with the whole Ryder family and I just loved that so much!
I have to say that I was surprised that this was kind of insta lovey? But I didn’t mind so much and that’s saying a lot because I’m usually a slow burn girlie through and through.
Wes and Ada were made for each other. Wes is the perfect golden retriever MMC, who loves doing acts of service to show his love and I feel like it was exactly what Ada needed. I also loved how open he was about his depression and how patient and understanding he was.
I related to Ada so much, she felt like she didn’t belong. She felt like people barely tolerated her but never liked her enough. And that’s why I think Wes was perfect for her, he loved her unconditionally. A micro trope that I absolutely adore is when the FMC has a hard time connecting to people and making friends but then she meets the MM’s family and they accept her wholeheartedly. I just love the found family trope and it was perfectly executed in this one. Seeing Ada become more and more comfortable with the rest of the group did something to my heart. It really was beautiful to witness.
The only thing I had a slight problem with was that I felt that the ending was a bit rushed. It could’ve used a couple more chapters to wrap some storylines in my opinion but I think I found a new autobuy author and I can’t wait for Gus and Teddy’s book next!! I’m a sucker for good banter and I feel like they will give that to me 🤭
Thanks to the publisher for the ARC via NetGalley!

Love a cowboy romance! This book was so sweet it had me giggling and kicking my feet! I don’t think there’s words that can describe how much I enjoyed this book!

I couldn't wait to get my hands on Swift and Saddled after falling in love with Done and Dusted. Ada and West balance each other out so well, and I love how open West was about his own struggles with depression. You honestly don't see that a lot from MMC's. The book didn't make it "A Thing" either. It was just something that West was dealing with and was aware of. He had his plan in place to keep his depression in check and that was that.

I could relate to Ada as well. I think we all struggle with figuring out where we fit not only in the world, but within our own families and friend groups. I loved that she still knew she was a badass when it came to her job and designing. I do think a lot of stress is put on attending college and getting a degree when plenty of jobs, like interior design, should be about actual talent, and not a piece of paper. It was nice to see a character who knew her worth in that area and didn't let not finishing college ruin those dreams.

Lyla once again did a great job of making you feel like you were on the ranch. Her descriptions were fantastic and beautiful. The communication between the characters during sex scenes was wonderful to see as well. It was great reading about the Rebel Blue family again, and all the little teases for possible stories to come. Amos is such a sly meddler that I couldn't help but laugh at some of the stuff he was trying to pull.

I did think the ending was a little abrupt and I felt like we still had a few loose ends. I really wanted to know why her ex was calling. I felt like it was just added to maybe place doubts in her mind. I don't think every romance book needs a third act breakup (no matter how short this one was), and this was one of them. I think the struggles that Ada was having when it came to confidence in herself and with her relationships was enough of a plot point to where a breakup wasn't really essential to the story. Not to mention Ada and West trying to figure out a long distance relationship.

All in all, I really enjoyed the story. I was hooked from the start, I thought the story flowed well, and it did a great job of setting up future stories and possible pairings.

4/5 Stars ⭐️

Thank you to NetGalley, Lyla Sage, and The Dial Press for giving me the arc in exchange for an honest review.

It felt so amazing to be back in the Rebel Blue Ranch World, and I found myself purposely reading slowly so that I could savor every moment of this book.

Ada and Wes were perfect for one another, and it was so sweet to read a romance book with no third-act breakup, just a sweet cowboy and a city girl who finds solace and peace while standing her ground. The thing I love about Lyla Sage is how you can relate to her characters somehow; this was the same for this book. I could see the seeds being planted for the 4th book, and I am so excited for the 3rd and 4th ones to come to fruition. I love this family and I truly never ever want to leave this world.

I am so lucky and extremely grateful that I got to read this book before it came out, and I am running to the bookstore on March 5th to get my hands on a physical copy to annotate.

"You're the moon and I'm the tides. You pull me in without even trying, and I come to you willingly. I always will."
This book was such an easy and fast-paced read! I finished it in 24 hours and I truly ate it up! Ada and Wes gave off black cat/golden retriever vibes and I loved it so much. I truly enjoy the entire Ryder family and the Rebel Blue Ranch family as well, and I love getting to see everyone interact throughout this book.
What I loved:
-mental health representation
-found family
-teaching her how to drive a manual car
-the renovation process
-black cat/golden retriever duo
-small town romance
While I loved the way I quickly read this book, the romance was very insta-lovey for me. The pacing was very fast for Wes and Ada, and I am not a big fan of the instant love. I think I would like this more if there were deeper aspects of their relationship forming and developing. I would have loved to get to know more about Ada and her background, especially because I found myself relating to her throughout the book. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to readers who want a quick, cute, and comforting read about cowboys :)
I am really excited to read Teddy's book! The setup at the end was really exciting to me.

Thank you NetGalley for the arc!

Now I really didn’t think cowboy romance would be the thing that makes me blush for the entire book yet here we are!

It’s so hard not to love Weston Ryder. Our golden retriever cowboy has the biggest heart of all the Ryders, and the way he is just a constant, patient force with Ada even while she tries to pull away is heartthrob-worthy. And who doesn’t love a shirtless cowboy saving a baby cow?

Wes and Ada are now my favorite couple at Rebel Blue Ranch. The ending leaves us on the suspicion that another unlikely pair awaits us in book 3 at Rebel Blue Ranch (and I am SO ready for it!! I called it in the first book!)

I really enjoyed this book and the story that it told. Lyla Sage had managed to create a heartwarming story that had an amazing found family aspect.

I felt the plot pacing of this book was well done, and even though the male main character was the first to fall for the female main character the book did not feel rushed and the relationship developed at a realistic pace and at no point did I feel bored. I enjoyed the struggles that each character had faced although I would've loved more discussion about one of the characters depression.

This is the perfect small town romance book/found family and I hope the next book is about Teddy and Gus purely from the banter included in this one

Im usually not a cowboy fan and Wes managed to change my mid.

Another hit from Lyla Sage! There is truly something about her writing that has me smiling and flying through her books. I loved Done and Dusted so I was very excited to learn Swift and Saddled was being written and would follow our favorite golden retriever, middle child, Wes.

Wes and Ada are the definition of Black Cat x Golden Retriever energy and I thoroughly enjoyed watching their relationship and love bloom. Sage does a phenomenal job of creating multi-dimensional FMCs and MMCs that are unique and original. Once again, she integrated mental health into this story and it flowed so well. I also absolutely adore The Ryders so I loved getting to explore more of their family dynamic and little world.

This book delivered just as Done and Dusted did. The romance, our main characters and the plot were perfect. It was all so incredibly well paced.

Tropes I enjoyed:
Golden Retriever x Black Cat
Slow-ish Burn Romance
Found Family
