This was a fun read! Some parts of the first book were carried over, which I really liked. The ending felt forced and I wished there was more resolution with the former lover. I'm really excited for the third in the series!

Lyla completely outdid herself with this one. The banter, chemistry and SPICE had me giggling the entire book. I completely fell in love with Wes and Ada. These characters were just so real to me. Before I knew it I finished the book in one sitting. I can’t wait to see what she does for the rest of the series.

Man, I loved this. I'm a sucker for cowboys and this one was hot and swoon worthy. The romance was so great and the character growth even better.

I don’t know what Lyla Sage is putting in these books, but I am ready to relocate to Rebel Blue Ranch, Wyoming and join the Ryder family!
I gobbled up both of these books last week and am in LOVE. The interconnected stand alone romance books each center on one of the Ryder siblings, who were raised and now run their family ranch. Funny, swoony, heartwarming, and full of banter and steam, this series is an absolute winner!

🤠Done and Dusted (out now!): When barrel racer Emmy Ryder returns home after an accident, the last person she expects to find a connection with is her brother’s best friend, Luke Brooks.

🤠Swift and Saddled (releasing 3/5!): Ada’s the city girl designer who refuses to be saddled with a man. Wes is the cowboy who wants her anyway.

Swift and Saddled includes a heroine who struggles with self-esteem and a hero who battles chronic depression. I loved the inclusion of realistic main characters! Sage takes time to develop their slow burn chemistry and relationship, making the romance feel truly intimate. I adored the plot line of Ada being the designer in Wes’s project to convert the Baby Blue house into a B&B property! There were plenty of cameos and family meals including the other Ryder family members and I and SO EXCITED for Gus and Teddy’s story in Lost and Lassoed releasing this fall! 🤠

I can't rave ab0ut this one enough. WOW. I thought I loved Done and Dusted... and I do! but damn... Swift and Saddled came in and stole the crown. This one was perfection.... How does she cram such great stories into these books?! I could have read a book twice this size on these characters. I'm in love. I've read two books since finishing this and I just can't move on. UGH.

This was a really solid book. During the first few chapters it was hard for me to get a good sense of Ada’s personality and I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy her character. Through the middle and end of the book I got a better sense of why she was the way she was and it made me enjoy her character a bit more and understand some of her choices. Honestly, I wish this book was a bit longer and there was a little more story development. It felt like it ended a bit abruptly and I would have enjoyed a little more resolution with a few things. Overall I did enjoy the story, it was a quick read that kept me engaged and it definitely left me wanting to read more by Lyla Sage.

I loved this sequel so much! Enjoyed being back in Montana at the Meadowlark Ranch with these magnetic ranchers and their sweethearts. Quick witted, heartwarming , and with the right amount of spice, I loved Wes and Ada and how they built each other up while falling in love and renovating a bed and breakfast on the ranch. Releases March 5, check this one out!

I was so excited when i received Swift and Saddled as an ARC because I am definitely into cowboys right now. But I am normally a fantasy romance reader so this was definitely out of my comfort zone. While I love the main characters and the setting of this gigantic ranch in Wyoming, and the depression rep from the hero, I was honestly just...bored. There is nothing wrong with this book. It's written well, it's engaging in the conversations that the characters have and the family dynamics, but there just seemed like NOTHING going on. I personally just need a little higher stakes and this could totally be because I'm a FanRo reader. It's me. Not you.

I was so excited to get back to Rebel Blue Ranch and I was not disappointed. Wes was by far the star of the show in the book for me and I loved the mental health discussions and representation that Lyla incorporates into her books. I really thought it'd relate to Ada as she came from a controlling relationship that caused her to doubt herself but I had a hard time liking her at times. I wish we would've gotten to hear more about Ada's past/her ex and what she's really been through, also I hope the ex calling her gets explained more in the next book. I think I could've connected with her more if I knew more than the surface level of what she's been through. Wes is definitely the golden retriever to Ada's black cat personality. I truly love the rest of the characters in the book and while I personally loved Done and Dusted more this second book DID NOT DISAPOINT. The ending also had an exert from the next book which will follow Teddy and I AM SO EXCITED.

I adored how realistic both Ada and Weston's struggles were. Ada is dealing with healing after a really bad relationship and feeling insecure. Weston has depression but is at a point where he has found a routine to help him. Weston is so sweet and the perfect love interest for Ada. I really had a lot of fun with this and this is the perfect small town cowboy romance to read if you are looking for something sweet and cute to warm your heart.

This is the second book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series and I enjoyed it! I loved reading about Wes and Ada. I loved their dynamic, and I couldn’t get enough of how much Wes absolutely adored Ada throughout the whole book. It wasn’t cringey in any way and I just felt so happy reading this book!

This does remind me a bit of the Chestnut Spring Series! Did I still devour books 1 and 2? Absolutely! These are super fun romances that make you smile from ear to ear and truly make you believe in love! I will definitely be reading book #3 because I am fully invested and cannot wait for Teddy and Gus’s book next!

I loved this book even more than Done and Dusted. The book was so fun, and I adored Wes. He’s a new book boyfriend for sure. He gives golden retriever energy (even has his own emotional support pup.) He bottle feeds calves (baby cows!) *swoon* Wes also gives great mental health representation, and is overall adorable cowboy perfection.
I loved Ada because she’s a hardworking woman who finally figures out what she deserves, but doesn’t give up her ambitions or career.
This book features found family and workplace romance, and I loved every minute of it. I can’t wait for book 3!

This is the second book of the series and I loved it! I enjoyed this book more than Done and Dusted. I enjoyed the characters, their growth and development throughout the story and their romance was swoony! They had the perfect amount of banter and angst and I didn't want to put this book down.
The writing was easy to read, the chapters were short and the storyline was wonderful.

Her dream job starts tomorrow, she is finally doing better after her divorce, and she's ready to start new. However it turns out the hot guy she randomly made out with at the small-town bar last night is none other than Wes, her contact and boss for the new interior design project she starts in the morning. She never makes reckless choices like she did at that bar, and now it's coming back to bite her. Can they move on and work together like professionals? Or with the magnetism they both feel pull inevitably pull them in for more than either of them bargained for?

Ok, I'll say it, I <i>need</i> to move to Rebel Blue ASAP. The absolute dream of a Ranch Sage has created seems like is perfect place for weary people to find solace, and Ada found herself right in the middle of it. I love how Ada was written, her hesitance before every move and her reluctance to get attached for fear of getting hurt was so well done. Wes is quite literally a dream boat. He is absolutely gone for Ada, but he never wants to pressure her, he supports her dreams and helps her learn to be completely independent of him (hello teaching her to drive a manual car). <spoiler>I absolutely <i>lost it</i> when he said "that's my girl" when she ran away with his old truck he taught her how to drive. Could he BE any more healthy of a person???? Swoon. </spoiler>

The family dynamics of the Rebel Blue series are also something Sage does an excellent job of writing. They support each other, help each other, and are always there for one another. Even their found family is considered a part of the actual Ryder family. It's a beautiful thing, and I would assume Sage has had the pleasure of a familial support system to be able to create such a great family unit on the page.

My only complaint with this one is that the ending felt rushed. This could be because I wanted the story to keep going so I subconsciously felt like it was going faster than I wanted, but the feeling was there regardless.

Overall I love all of the books in this series, I cannot wait for the next one (thanks for the sneak peek that is making me so eager to continue btw), and I'm hoping the foreshadowing means Cam is also going to get her own HEA. I will be trying to get everyone I know to read these so we can gush about them together.

I did not think I would feel so emotional while reading Swift & Saddled. I absolutely loved Done & Dusted and could not wait for the rest of the books in this series to come out and man, I am so happy the next story was Wes and Ada.

Ada is an interior designer who has been trying to prove herself since failing out of interior design school and was lucky enough to be connected with Rebel Blue Ranch through her old college roommate, Teddy. When first getting to Wyoming, Ada stops at the Devil’s Boot bar and locks eyes with a handsome cowboy with dimples and green eyes. Ada and him share an unforgettable kiss in the back of the bar but get interrupted fairly quickly. The next day, Ada shows up at Rebel Blue Ranch and meets Weston Ryder. Her new boss and the handsome cowboy from the night before with the dimples she can’t resist.

I felt such a connection to these two characters in different ways. Ada’s internal monologue really hit close to home at times when it came to her insecurities and Wes was such a gentle soul that cared a lot about everyone around him and seemed so happy but also was struggling with depression. I think this book had a lot of important messages on mental health and just making sure that you’re living your life for you and not how you think someone else believes you should live your life.

I loved that we were able to still see aspects of Emmy & Luke’s relationship from Done & Dusted and I loved learning more about the other members of the Ryder family. I will always adore a book with the found family aspect because it’s always just so beautiful that all these characters found love and a sense of belonging with one another and seeing them grow.

Lyla Sage, you’ve done it again! Thank you for writing and for making me feel all the feels, it’s always special when you can connect with a character 🫶🏼

This book is everything. 5 stars is not enough stars. After reading, loving, and crying over this book I realized there was literally nothing I would change about the story, the characters, or the setting. A perfect book deserves a perfect star rating.

Done and Dusted was a standout read of 2023. With such a strong start to a series, I didn’t know how Rebel Blue Ranch could improve. This family just keeps getting better and better. The story centers around the members of an incredibly loving but also welcoming family. The Ryder Family has a way of collecting people and bringing them into both the farm and fold. While there may only be one sibling left to receive a story, the family is far from being paired off.

Ada and Weston are the ultimate black cat and golden retriever duo. We’ve got our city girl with a chip on her shoulder. She’s got a real fear of connection and being stuck in one place. Then we’ve got our country boy who’s had nothing but love and stability modeled for him his whole life. The local bar being such an institution to the town of Meadowlark, yet not having a phone number or reliable information on Google is just so classic. It makes for the perfect landmark for a tryst with a stranger to kick off this story.

I’m just so proud of these characters. The emotional intimacy that they build over time just speaks to author Lyla Sage’s writing ability. I want to live in this world and be a part of this friend group. These girls show up for one another, push each other when they need to, but also know when to back off and just be there and support one other. When I tell you I CRIED the happiest tears for the last 15% of the book over how much I loved these characters and their family it’s not an exaggeration. I’m pretty sure I was stifling sobs. I look forward to this series continuing with Teddy’s story.

In the incredible follow up to Done and Dusted, we are transported back to the adorable town of Meadowlark, Wyoming and back to Rebel Blue Ranch where we encounter the sexy cowboy Weston Ryder and the city girl he has hired to make over his old family home, Ada Hart.

The pair find themselves entangled in each other, unable to stay away, despite their best interests (but much to the advantage of those of us reading). Lyla Sage has once again provided us with in depth characters we are exited to read about and a charming country town that you never want to leave.

Lyla really did it again! I was so freaking excited to get to read this I loved done and dusted and swift and saddled was even better I love their relationship and the mental health representation was amazing to see and showing Ada finding her place among friends with other women was really sweet. And her inner dialogue was easy to relate to. The banter between all the guys and girls was so good. I love Wes he is so sweet and loving to Ada, he is smart, kind, and patient with her he was exactly what she needed. And she was everything he needed. I love how she came to do a job and found a family ❤️ This book was well written and thoughtful all the way through I loved it and I can’t wait to read lost and lassoed! ❤️❤️

Yet again, an incredible book. Lyla Sage is a force to be reckoned with. I found myself giggling out loud, and shedding actual tears by the end of this book. I cannot wait for everyone to read how good this one is.

Ada Hart is the new girl in town. From the minute she steps into the local bar she can feel eyes on her. She’s here for a remodel job, but it does nothing to make her feel like she belongs in Meadowlark. As she takes in her surroundings she can’t help but notice that there must be something in the water, because all these handsome cowboys are built different. Especially the one with the deep dimples that catches her eye.

Meadowlark is the type of town where everyone knows each other. So Wes is surprised to find a mysterious new beauty hanging out at his best friends bar. He’s never felt this type of pull before. One thing leads to another and before he knows it, he has her pinned to the bar’s office door. The way she’s melting underneath him is enough to take his breath away, until they’re interrupted and she leaves in a hurry.

Ada rushes off with intentions of never seeing the cowboy again, but fate has other plans when she shows up at her job site and sees who her new boss is.

I am absolutely in love with this book. 😭🥺✨ This series is so very beautiful as a whole. But this book? This one was truly magical. It’s so blissfully sweet and the characters in this book are both so near and dear to my heart. As we got to know the main characters, I immediately felt a kinship with them. Ada and Wes both are graced with very different (and very relatable) mental hurdles, and I LOVE the way they were handled. It wasn’t something they dwelled on constantly. And I liked that their struggles were part of them without their flaws being seen as something that needed to be fixed. Instead they were both so accepting towards one another, and I was melting in a pile of happy goo.

I truly love these characters. I love their friends. I’m so invested in everyone’s stories (and also just nosy lol— I wanna know about everyone). But most importantly, I’m so very excited about which couple’s story is next!!! The sneak peek at the end of this ARC had me squealing. It’s going to be such a fun ride!!!

I don’t even know what else to say besides, please read this book. If you’re in your cowboy era, this book will feed your soul. It’s cute, funny, sweet, sexy and everything I love about a small town romance. AND THERES A CUTE DOG! What more could you need out of a romance?
