I absolutely adored this small town romance. Ada and Wes were adorable and their connection was just so perfect. I loved that Ada knew who she was and had to deal with understanding how that related to the world around her. Wes and his mental health and comfort putting words to how he was feeling was just amazing. Their love story was just adorable and THE MIRROR SCENE.
I had a lovely time once again being back at the Rebel Blue Ranch! This time to know more of Weston aka Wes!
Having loved Done & Dusted, I had high hopes from this one too. Though, I still love Emmy & Brooks more, Wes & Ada were perfect together. Lylaโs writing as expected was so engaging and easy to get into. The characters are well written and have depth. We get to know both Wes and Adaโs fears, their shortcomings, and the eventual character growth for them. Wes was such a sweetheart, heโs caring and giving. Ada might seem stubborn or aloof at first, but we get why she is the way she is. There were lot of swoonworthy moments, with appropriate amount of spice, ๐ I love how Lyla balances romance, spice and real human issues in her characters and stories.
Also, not to forget, all of the side characters are equally good and you want to know them more or be part of their inner circle. I am really really looking forward to Gus & Teddyโs book.
It is a feel good romance and if you loved the first book you will surely like this one too. Overall, so far itโs a series I would recommend to pick if not already done!

I devoured this book in 24 hours and Lyla Sage is slowly becoming a favourite for comfort reads! I was so happy to be back at Rebel Blue with the lovable Ryder family. I already knew that I would love Wes when I read Done and Dusted and this didnโt disappoint. Wes is such a sweetheart who always looks after everyone around him. I loved getting to know him better and seeing how vulnerable he was when talking about his depression. Ada was also relatable as she struggled with her self-worth and with making friends. However, there were a few events that took place which left me with questions that went unanswered and I wasnโt a fan of some of Adaโs actions. Iโm hoping we can see more of these questions answered in the next book of the series. Iโm so excited for Gus and Teddyโs story now!
Thank you to NetGalley, The Dial Press and Lyla Sage for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
THIS BOOK WAS SO AMAZING!!! iโm not typically drawn to interior designer/client books, but this one was addicting from the very first page! ๐คฉ๐คฉIt was giving black cat ๐โโฌ / golden retriever ๐ถ vibes and Wes the cinnamon roll cowboy is so perfect ๐ค โฉthe banter was AMAZING ๐ป the spice was AMAZING and i gave this book 5 โญ๏ธ The tension was there from the very beginning and I just love the Rebel Blue Ranch setting!! iโm so excited for the next book in this series!!
Absolutely devoured this book! I am already counting down the days until the next one. Lyla Sage can do no wrong!
this book was SO good! I read the first book a few months before I received the ARC for this and I loved the first one. But, the second one was my favourite book I read so far in 2024. If you like cowboy romance this is definitely the series for you. I recommend it to all of my friends who are readers. Thank you so much for this free arc, I was obsessed.
Having devoured "Done and Dusted," I approached "Swift and Saddled" with a mix of excitement and apprehension, fearing it wouldn't live up to its predecessor. But oh, how wrong I was! Lyla Sage's second installment in the series exceeded all expectations, delivering another heartwarming tale that left me utterly charmed.
From the very first page, I found myself swept up in the lives of the characters I'd grown to love, eagerly devouring every delightful moment. Sage has a knack for crafting characters that feel incredibly genuine, their wholesomeness shining through until... well you know ;)
"Swift and Saddled" is a delightful read that left me craving more of its endearing cast, both main and side characters alike. It's the kind of book that leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling long after you've turned the last page.
My sincere thanks to NetGalley for providing the ARC, allowing me the joy of discovering this gem and sharing my honest thoughts.
Lyla Sage does it again! I love this series so, so much and I especially loved this book. This whole series is definitely a comfort read for me now. Weston seemed like a sweetheart in book 1, and he definitely is! I loved seeing him and Ada's relationship progress throughout the book. I cannot wait to continue with the series!
I donโt know how Lyla Sage isnโt a bigger name yet! I absolutely ADORE her writing and her stories.
I was definitely smiling throughout the book and overall had such a great time reading it! Definitely a feel good book with such lighthearted vibes. I enjoyed seeing the mental health representation in this book as well, itโs always an eye opener.
I just wish there was more banter between the characters.

City-dweller Ada Hart is fiercely independent and determined not to rely on a man, especially after a failed marriage and setbacks in her career. On the other hand, Weston Ryder, a charming cowboy, is drawn to Ada despite her reluctance. As Ada takes on a significant project at a prominent Wyoming ranch, she finds herself face-to-face with Wes once again, igniting a spark between them that neither can deny. Will Ada's barriers prevent them from exploring their growing connection, or will they take a chance on love amidst their professional collaboration?

Diving into the world of Swift and Saddled was like being enveloped in a cozy embrace. The story spun by Lyla Sage was not just heartwarming, but also filled with moments that made my heart swell with joy and longing. As I turned the final page, a bittersweet ache settled in my chest, wishing that Meadowlark and its charming characters were real so I could immerse myself in their world and be a part of the Ryder family.
Beyond the romance that blossomed between the protagonists, the tale delved deeper into themes of self-discovery, forging connections with loved ones, and ultimately finding a place to call home.

Lyla Sage's best book, hands down. I adored every single second of this book and Wes might just be my favourite book character of all time.
Nobody does it like Lyla Sage!!! Her ability to pack so much heart and emotion and humor and vulnerability in 300 pages is such a talent. These characters felt so real and relatable and flawed and watching them grow comfortable with themselves and around each other was such a treat. The focus and openness surround topics of mental health was a breath of fresh air and so appreciated as someone who has experienced similar struggles. I loved being back at Rebel Blue, she has created a setting that feels like coming home to people to know and love. Lyla made a fan for life with Done & Dusted, and this 2nd book only strengthened my love for her!!!!
I'm obsessed with this series and absolutely loved Ada and Wes. Literally could not put it down!
Ada arrives in Meadowlark to meet with her new boss for a renovation project at Rebel Blue Ranch. On her first night she goes out and makes out with a handsome stranger at the bar. Little does she know that this man is her new boss- Wes. Wes is the total package, handsome, caring and hardworking and not what she was expecting at all she he's definitely trying to win her over.
This is perfect for any small town, cowboy, workplace, forced proximity, opposites attract romance reader.
Wes and Ada were absolute perfection and I can't wait for Lost and Lassoed.
This was such an amazing read! I absolutely loved every single second of it and devoured it in 1 day!
I wrote a review also on Goodreads. แฐ
Thank you for sending me this ARC.
The main thing I have to say: Save a horse, ride a cowboy. I loved Done and Dusted, the first part in the series and Swift and Saddled was equally great. I can't wait to read the third part! I've been waiting for Teddy's & Gus's story since starting the series!!!
I am obsessed with Ada and Wes. The black cat & golden retriever energy of this couple was everything. So much of Adaโs story resonated with me. I also really appreciate the way Lyla Sage incorporates mental illness representation into her stories, I feel like thatโs not done a lot in contemporary romance. We got a perfect little sprinkle of Teddy and Gus in this book that makes me so excited for book 3.
All the stars for Wes and mirrors! ๐คญ
Ada has escaped to the middle of nowhere Wyoming to restart her life - and a spicy encounter with a hot man was a great way to kick it off - or was it? This smokin cowboy may or may not be Adaโs new boss at Rebel Blue Ranch, where she is fixing up one of the houses on the property.
Wes and his family are 10/10, highly recommend. I could have had this entire book from his perspective (which is weird because I usually donโt like male perspectives in books)! Ada was a little harder for me to connect with.
I didnโt think Iโd like cowboys but now Iโm in my cowboy romance era so watch out!
4.5 stars!!
i LOVE cowboys!! (In books - important distinction)
This book really had everything. It felt so good to be back at Rebel Blue Ranch, Wes and Ada were such an excellent couple for this second installment - definite black cat x golden retriever vibes. These books are filled to the brim with romance, found family, and wholesome/sexy spice!!
Another great one from Lyla Sage! loved how she included Wes's depression and the poetic way she compared the light of the "happy" sun to the moon, and the beauty of each. It wasn't overbearing, but it was just there, which was great. I also how she wrote about consent in this book. Wes always respected Ada's boundaries and waited for her to show him her comfort levels. I can't wait for more from Rebel Blue Ranch.
Ada arrives in Meadowlark, still healing from a failed marriage and having worked so hard to get to where she is in her career as an interior designer. Wes is renovating a property on his familyโs ranch, his dream project, and when a strange woman kisses him in the local bar, heโs surprised to find out sheโs actually his interior designer, who he has to work alongside for the next few months. Ada and Wes try to downplay their feelings for one another (Ada more than Wes) but when Ada ends up staying at the family home, just down the hall from Wes, they are pushed closer and closer together. Can they stick to just working together? Or can they just enjoy the time they have left together and go their separate ways?
I was so happy to be back in Meadowlark and with all the Rebel Blue crew. As with her first novel, Lyla instantly transports the reader to this world with her vivid imagery and country vibes. I loved the mental health rep and the empathy and sensitivity that both Ada and Wes showed each other. From the beginning, their attraction is evident (and hot!), but the connection they build through the book, the little moments they share are so beautifully portrayed. I love the black cat FMC versus the golden retriever MMC, who is just gone for her. I will say that I couldnโt help but get a little distracted by Teddy and Gus, and I cannot wait to be back in Rebel Blue Ranch for their story, too.
Thanks to @netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
