How many days until I buy a pair of cowboy boots? I'll be taking bets in the comments.

Thank you for the free audiobook PRH Audio and Dial Press the gifted copy of the e-book in exchange for my honest review.

I adored the audiobook for "Done and Dusted" so I was very skeptical to see two new narrator's voicing the Rebel Blue Ranch characters. Can confirm my anxieties were for not because I devoured this. Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin, you guys nailed it. Seriously, if you can make me audibly shout "awee" into the abyss from hearing a fictional little girls voice... I think you've nearly perfected performing book narration. I can not think of any complaints. These books are so easy to listen to. They are the cozy kind of romance that will put you at ease and help you get lost into the deepest parts of Wyoming. I will forever recommend these books on audio!

How do I convince my fiancé to call me "sugar" and "sweetheart" It's my new personal mission. I want to be wooed like a Ryder man would an Emmy and Ada. Let's stop beating around the barrel and talk about that mirror scene. That's going to officially live rent-free in my head. Phew. That was something. I am subscribed. Yeah, the romance between Ada and West is NEXT LEVEL! We are immediately hit with the chemmy between the two from chapter one. I loved it. I don't know what is more iconic their first make out session or when they are deeply romantically involved... ya know the mirror.. *eyebrow waggle* But there is more to these two than being physical, I loved that West made Ada feel safe. I loved that he was patient with her. I loved that he waited for her.

I think my heart is putty for Wes because he's an artist and he's working through depression. I seriously think that this character might be the male version of me. This is the first literary character that makes me feel seen. I appreciate that Wes is someone who has been dealing with depression for nearly his whole life and continues to battle with it. I feel that. I know how that is. It's so good to have that represented in romance novel that I love deeply. I appreciated that we got to see his outlet that he falls into when he's feeling emotions. Him being an artist made my heart so happy. I loved when Ada found his sketch book and every single page was her flowers that are tattooed all over her body. Sigh love.

Between all of these two love birds swoony moments, the stories of all the Ryder family and friends continue to develop. We get more angst between Teddy and Gus. We get a glimpse into Wes and Emmy going steady and strong. We get a deeper look into some new characters too that really develops the Rebel Blue Ranch world. We get M O R E A M O S! The best book dad EVER!

These books feel like home. They are so easy to read. They make me feel relaxed. They make me feel seen. They are like meeting up with old friends who you haven't seen for a long time. They bring me so much joy and melt my heart.

Don't mind me I'll be Googling photos of Wyoming ranches until November when we get my favorite characters story!! EEEE!!

Ok, do I normally like anything that involves cowboys or westerns? Absolutely not. But my coworker got me reading this series and now I can't stop! It's so good, so sweet, and such a nice quick read that it was a perfect palate cleanser after the heavier books I was reading. This was so phenomenal!

The cute country vibes are real with this one! Holy moly someone get me a cowboy boyfriend immediately 🤠

I read this in two sittings. It was so much fun to read and the banter between the main characters, Ada and Wes was so so good! Ada moves to a small country town to start over with her first large interior design job. Wes is a cowboy on his families ranch trying to find out where he fits and how he can make his life his. He hires an interior designer to turn one of the houses on the ranch into a bed and breakfast. One late night kiss at a dive bar and boom allllllll the fun things start to happen after that 🤠

There’s spice, emotion, mental health awareness, and the country vibes could not get any better! I tend to stay away from country, small town romance because I live in a country small town, and spoiler alert there’s not a single hot cowboy, sigh 😂 But this just made me happy to read! I think I smiled while reading for at least 75% of this book! I went into this 100% blind and did not read the first book before this and still LOVED it!

I really enjoyed this one! Done and Dusted was such a fun read and I was excited to see Wes get his love story. I loved the dynamic, and push and pull between him and Ada. They were so sweet, had fantastic chemistry, and their communication was *chef's kiss.* I thought these characters felt so real, especially when it came to topics about their personalities and mental health. I just thought the ending felt a little bit rushed and I would have loved a little bit more details after Wes and Ada had their big revelation moment.

A fun western romance set in an apolitical Wyoming. Interior designer Ada arrives to turn a vacant ranch home into a boutique guest house. The night before her big job starts, she goes to the local bar and impulsively kisses a hot cowboy before running away. As these things go, the hot cowboy turns out to be Wes, her new boss. Ada likes him but is skittish after leaving a controlling marriage. Wes realizes he's going to have to be patient to woo the woman he's falling for.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the ARC to review. All opinions are my own.

This was a very enjoyable romance read! It isn't anything groundbreaking in my opinion, but it's entertaining and sweet. Wes very much had the "golden retriever boyfriend" thing going on. I enjoyed how he respected Ada's boundaries while also making his interest clear.

I do feel like the relationship as a whole was somewhat rushed. They opened up to each other pretty fast, which can happen, but it seemed a bit contrary to the main conflict of Ada being afraid to love again and be vulnerable.

I think the book benefitted from devoting more scenes to their relationship developing and less spicy scenes as compared to the first book in the series. There were several interactions they had with one another that had me smiling while reading. In the first book, the two protagonists already knew one another, whereas in this one Ada and Wes only just met so it made more sense for them to get to know each other. I thought the couple of smutty scenes that were included were done well though.

One thing I can't get over and am probably overthinking: at the very end Ada is like "I got a job renovating a local inn so I'm staying now" but isn't the nature of her being a decorator/designer that her jobs only last so long? So like, what does she mean she's staying? Girl, you have to be done renovating eventually lol. Idk, I know things change but it kind of felt like Lyla Sage wanted Ada to have her girlboss thing of "I'm not giving up my dreams" but then in the epilogue was like "I think 8 months is just about long enough for Ada's dreams :P". So that confused me a bit.

Thanks to Random House for granting me access to this!

Sage has written a sweet, charming book with characters you can root for and a romance that is believable. I also enjoyed that there wasn’t much of a “third act conflict" and that the characters acted maturely. I really enjoyed both Ada and Wes and their ragtag group of friends but found myself confused at times about who was who. I haven’t read the first book so that could be part of it but there were a few characters that went by their given names and nicknames which added to the confusion.

3.5 rounded up to 4 stars

This was a fun second addition to the Rebel Blue Ranch series. We didn't get to know Wes too much in the first book and Ada was a new character. I loved seeing more of the Ryder family in this book - I love them!! Wes and Ada had chemistry and a great connection. I loved that she was leaning into being a successful designer and that Wes was so supportive.

Sometimes it's hard when there's the prickly woman character to get her right... and Ada felt like she swung too far in different directions at times. And there were times the writing felt heavy and 'explain-y' that took me out of the story. There is depression representation but I wasn't sure I loved how it was done.

All in all, this was a great read but there were things that didn't always work for me.

I'm VERY excited about Gus and Teddy's book and was so happy with a teaser chapter at the end!!

SWIFT AND SADDLED is the second book in Lyla Sage’s Rebel Blue Ranch series. I adored DONE AND DUSTED, so I was counting down the days until the next book.

This one didn’t disappoint! Wes + Ada 🥹 The character development was done really well and these two were just so dang easy to root for 🩵 There is great mental health rep, which I always appreciate.

It was fun having a little bit of a workplace romance — Ada was hired to be the interior designer for Wes’s dream project on his family’s ranch. This led to some tension and having to fight back feelings while trying to keep their relationship professional. Lyla Sage has created such a fun & swoony cowboy romance series — after only two books, I’m already a fan for life 🫶

Thank you to NetGalley, Dial Press/Random House & Lyla Sage for a digital galley of Swift & Saddle in exchange for an honest review.

I am SOLD on this series. I absolutely LOVED Done & Dusted, so I had been impatiently waiting for Swift & Saddled! And now I can't wait for Lost & Lassoed!

This series follows the relationships of the Ryder siblings. Swift & Saddled focused on Weston Ryder.

Ada arrives at Rebel Blue Ranch for an interior design project she has been hired to do. She's a city girl & all she wants to do is get in, do the job & leave. Her first mistake is kissing a random stranger, a gorgeous cowboy who kept making eyes at her in the dive bar they were both in. They had a mini make out session without sharing even their names. So, it came as a surprise to both of them when Ada turned out to be the interior designer Weston hired & Weston turned out to be the hot cowboy from the bar. And in true Lyla Sage fashion, we were blessed with some sizzling "romps in the hay!" Sizzle factor was OFF.THE.CHARTS! Of course, we know that Ada & Weston will have chemistry, they'll try to fight it, they'll give in & will end up together in the end. It doesn't even matter that we know that. The story is absolutely perfect & exactly what you want when you're in the mood for this type of book.

Lyla's writing style is most comparable to Tessa Bailey (who I ADORE), in my opinion. So, I'm super happy to have another go-to "super spicy but not quite porn on a page" author.

I absolutely cannot wait for Lost & Lassoed! And for whatever is in store once this series is complete!

✨Swift and Saddled Review✨

Author: Lyla Sage
Read Type: Kindle/Physical
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Review:
Ater failing out of her interior design program, and her short-lived marriage, Ada Hart finds herself in Meadowlark, Wyoming, working on the most important design project of her entire career. She doesn't expect the handsome cowboy who she shares the most amazing kiss with at a dive back on her night in town, to be her new boss. She refuses to let the kiss rattle her mind, she only trusts herself and needs to focus on her project and her project alone. But can Wes break down Ada's walls that are firmly set in place.

I loved being back at Rebel Blue Ranch!! Tender, and sweet, Wes Ryder is the perfect book boyfriend. Gentle, kind, and patient with a history of depression, but isn't ashamed to talk about it.
Ada and Wes have swoon-worthy chemistry and the book is filled with all our beloved characters at Rebel Blue!! I can't wait to be reunited with the cast in the next installment, which features Teddy's love story, Lost and Lassoed.

I was obsessed with Done & Dusted and I’m so glad I got the arc for Swift & Saddled. I already can’t wait for the third book and rest of the series cause I just love this family.

I absolutely love a cowboy romance! The black cat, golden retriever trope is very much like my own relationship so I have a soft spot for it. I love a cinnamon roll MMC plus the depth that came with Wes. The mental health representation meant a lot. I appreciated there being no third act break up or miscommunication trope. This was a spicy, romantic cowboy novel and I loved it. 4.5/5⭐️

On its face, this is an incredibly cute romance, but there was just something missing to get me truly invested in the love story. I felt as though time continuously progressed but we weren’t given anything beyond a glimpse to explain how the characters began to fall for each other. In Wes’s case, it seemed as though he fell for Ada instantly but we were never given context about interactions that would cause that emotion.

We saw discussions of Ada having a past but didn’t get in depth explanations of what her past entailed and how it made her feel the way she did in her hesitation of being involved with a new man.

I loved the mental health representation and the brief glimpse we got into how depression affected Wes’s life, but I don’t think we got anything more than surface level information about Ada and Wes’s backstories and how that shaped them into who they were. Heavy topics existed in the book but were not truly explored, and I wish we could’ve seen more.

Overall, this is a book I will return to, if for no other reason than to see how I feel after I’ve sat with the book longer. I am looking forward to Gus and Teddy’s story (and Dusty and Cam’s too).

This series is amazing! I actually ended up loving this one more than the first! Wes is the perfect cowboy boyfriend! I can’t wait for the next in the series! This is great for fans of the Chestnut Springs series!

(4.5 stars!) adored Wes and Ada! I related to both of them with the struggles they deal with. Wes was great. I love him. The writing was way better than the first one and the pacing was better. I feel like these books could be longer though.

Swift and Saddled is a charming romance full of humor and some heat! The story is fast-paced and left me completely satisfied yet wishing there was more for me to binge read. The connection between Wes and Ada was palpable, I loved how they were obviously enamored with each other from the very beginning but there was still so much tension and pining. The two were so soft and healthy for each other, Wes was so patient and understanding of Ada's troubles; the man was an absolute gentleman. I love it!! Cant wait for the next one!!

“You’re the moon,” he said. “And I’m the tides. You pull me in without even trying, and I come to you willingly. I always will.”

Ada and Wes. She’s an interior designer that’s been hired to renovate a farm house at Wes’s family ranch. A relationship between them is off-limits (boss x employee + she’s leaving after the renovation is done) but they can’t stay away from each other.

A cute and fun read! Wes was so charming and the absolute sweetest man ever. The definition of a golden retriever boyfriend. I loved this book just as much as I loved Done and Dusted, and now I’m so excited for Lost and Lassoed!!

I am UNWELL. Lyla Sage just became one of my fave authors and this is only the second book I’ve read from her. I didn’t think it could get much better than Done & Dusted, but here we are!! Swift & Saddled is IT. I know this book just came out, but I am so eager for Gus and Teddy’s moment. Obsessed.

Let me just start off by saying, the way they met was EVERYTHING. Their chemistry is undeniable, you can literally feel it through the page. The main characters truly say whats on their mind and their connection goes so far beyond physical intimacy. The ease of their connection is — chefs kiss! And … MOON to the TIDES?! Sobbing. Here are the rest of my thoughts:

Lyla Sage writes vulnerability like no other. Not cringey and feels very authentic.

I’ve been inspired to create a Dalton Day. My future children will absolutely celebrate the day their dad and I went on our first date!

I was so confused by the attempt at the 3rd act breakup, but then it was done in perfect taste. A swift recovery.

Thank you Lyla Sage for the bits and pieces of follow up on the characters from Book 1. I can’t wait for more of that in book 3.

I have posted this review to Goodreads, Instagram stories, and I have an upcoming Instagram and Tiktok post.

Content warning: Main character is diagnosed with depression and talks about it from time to time.

Ada and Weston were everything and more! I absolutely loved the second book of the Rebel Blue Ranch series!

For me, there is nothing better than an instant "meet cute", which we got very early in the book. That initial attraction continued throughout the rest of the book and their connection was everything.

Ada was the best female character. Strong-willed, determined, and vulnerable. I loved getting a glimpse into her past relationship and how she was overcoming those challenges being on the ranch working with the Ryder family.

Wes was just the absolute best!! His family dynamic made my heart melt and Lyla did an amazing job with his mental health struggles. Seeing the two work on the design of the ranch gave my HGTV heart some happiness!

I strongly recommend this series especially Swift and Saddled!
