This is a great book to introduce your child to Kindergarten and what to expect. It goes in order and has little activities for each one. It starts with getting up and goes all the way to time to go home. I really like the activities in this book as they are age related. This will also open conversation to help with any fears the child may have. The illustrations are colorful and sure to make children happy.
My First Day of Kindergarten Activity Book by Sarah Chesworth
An eye-catching, colorful and educational book for your little one who’s going to kindergarten!
It’s like an exercise book. It guides you to draw line, draw picture, counting, matching, finding different item, shapes etc.
Easy to use, little-one friendly and I reckon it’s a “page-tuner” for the little one. They will find it’s fun to do the exercise. It definitely provides them happiness and builds up confidence.
I will purchase this book!
Many thanks to NetGalley, publisher and the author for my copy.

My First Day of Kindergarten Activity Book is a wonderful way for a new student and caregiver to prepare for the first days in a typical school classroom. It is organized chronologically about what to expect and in what order during the first day of school, but does it in a colorful way with activities that encouraged my children's confidence. The activities are suited for even children going into preschool, since the recommended ages are 4-6. As a mom of a 6 and 4 year old, I would recommend this workbook for a parent to work alongside their student to inspire conversations about this new big step in their lives.
As a kindergarten teacher I think this book is a great resource for families to use at home to prepare their kiddos for kindergarten. The book provides a great overview of skills that we cover in kindergarten. I especially appreciate that the starting locations are included on the letter writing activities. This book will provide your student a great beard start for kindergarten.
My First Day of Kindergarten Activity Book is a cute activity book for rising kindergarteners. I liked the organization and simpleness of the book. Each section offers straightforward sentences to help prepare students for school. Adults will appreciate that each section highlights what skill the activity is working on. All the big topics such as shapes, letters, counting, and writing were featured. I thought the illustrations were cute, diverse, and colorful. I will definitely be recommending this book to patrons at my library. Thank you to Callisto Kids and NetGalley for the ARC.
I’m prepping a workshop for my youngest ever group of students and this was a great resource for age appropriate activities and helped me brainstorm my own!
This is wonderful!
My son is 4.5 years old and attends VPK.
This is an engaging workbook that helps him practice his skills he is learning in school.
He loves this workbook!
This lovely activity book was written by a former kindergarten teacher. In a series of activities, she takes children through a day at school. It incorporates teaching/reviewing things that kids will want to know. For example, on the first page, titled Good Morning, children are asked to circle everything that is blue. Another page called Let’s Go to School asks kids to circle the transportation that can get them there. For example, they may take the bus but they probably won’t swim. There are matching games, dot to dots, find what’s different, sequencing, patterns, shapes, letters and much more. All in all, a nice resource for a child and an adult to do together. I definitely know a child who would like this and you may too.
Many thanks to Callisto Publishing and NetGalley for this title. All opinions are my own.
This book was thoughtful and well put together. I would order this for back to school night for parents to have for their k5 student. I really enjoyed looking through the book and remembering when my own children went to kindergarten. Thank you for the advanced copy.
Thank you NetGalley for previewing this book! This would be a super cute book to give to a kiddo before they start kindergarten.

OMG, this is such an adorable book! The illustrations and activities featured in this book is just plain adorable and such a great way to have my little ones engaged. I honestly think this book would be great for both the parents and teachers to go over and do together. I am definitely going to get this print book when my youngest son gets closer to Kindergarten. The puzzles are so cute and so creative. This also show inclusivity and I LOVE IT!

My First Day of Kindergarten Activity Book by Sarah Chesworth is an informative and engaging book
The book starts with a Note To Grown Ups, and I think it’s cute yet informative
The book contains a Nametag and fun activities to make learning fun. Some activities include drawing while others identifying and counting. I love the variety of fun activities.
This book is perfect to help a little one get ready for their big Kindergarten Challenge. We have two grandchildren starting school soon and this is a wonderful way to introduce them to what their day may be like in a fun educational way.
The illustrations and interactive content is great. I definitely recommend adding this to your children’s, or your own, collection.
I thought this book be perfect for any parent or teacher even if the child is being homeschooled because of the pandemic still. There was a lot of activities for the kids to do in the book I would love to get this book printed off for my daughter even though she is older then kindergarten second grade but she would still enjoy the puzzles because she's a nerd like her momma me. So well done I'd like access to more of your books if possible
Absolutely adorable and cute workbook for toddlers to do the get ready to go to school. Pages showing what items to choose to bring to school, and pages on practicing writing, working on shapes and color. Super cute and would highly recommend for anyone with a little getting ready to go to school
This activity book is perfect and absolutely precious. I have worked in education specifically special education for 19 years with early childhood to high school. I would love to purchase this for a special 4 year old in my life. The activities are creative and engaging for the child. This is a great social narrative that will prepare kids for the journey of kindergarten in many aspects. I also really loved the inclusive illustrations. All races and differently abled children are shown, Over all a great book and would recommend to students' families and my own!
