I am pretty sure this is the sequel to Ai meats AI. I like the book, but I also hated it because the illustrations were AI which is a big problem in the industry right now since AI illustrations steal from legitimate authors works. The story fits in with its predecessor but it’s slower and not as well done as the first book. The illustrations aren’t as good either. I really want to like this series, but I just can’t.

This is a book for young children showing the first encounters the ai robot had outside of the lab. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest feedback!

Book 168 of 200 ~ 2023

🌟🌟🌟🌟

An adorable introduction to AI in a positive way :) fun to read and I am sure kiddos will have lots of questions about not just the robot, but the other things listed that are suppose to be better for the environment.

Happy to read that there is a possibility for future titles :)

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This was a simplistic, confusing, and incomplete picture book about a boy receiving a robot (it seemed to have some AI qualities) for his birthday. It started to learn some speech patterns and the boy seemed excited, then the book abruptly ended. No plot, no real story at all. I did not like this.

Through engaging storytelling and vibrant illustrations, young readers are immersed in Jaz's perspective as she navigates the excitement and wonder of a birthday celebration.

This book not only provides an enjoyable story but also offers valuable lessons about friendship, curiosity, and the evolving relationship between humans and AI. My First AI Robot is a wonderful tale that will captivate young minds while sparking their interest in the fascinating world of artificial intelligence.

I received an electronic ARC from Ivey Collective DBA AiDigiTales through NetGalley.
A first look at an interactive robot for preschoolers. Addy brought a robot named Jaz to her brother Nolan's birthday party. Readers see Jaz study, learn and interact with both of them. Jaz then uses the night to learn even more from their books and toys while they sleep. In the morning, Jaz shares the song it created from what it learned the day and night before. Though Addy had to take Jaz back to the lab, Nolan hopes to see the robot again. The story ends with hints of more adventures to come.
Ivey offered information on AI in suitable language for this age range and kept the story simple to follow. The illustrations are brightly colored and full of energy. A fun read as a family or class.

This book is intended to explain robots and artificial intelligence to children. I felt that the message and format were a bit confusing and needed better explanation.
