My main complaint about people who go on The Amazing Race are that they try to put American standards on the rest of the world instead of trying to embrace where they are and make it work. Feldon does the exact thing in India. Rather than attempting to make the best of her situation, this book for the most part is a whine-fest. Yes, in the end she does learn to love it, but it took forever to get to that point.
