I thoroughly enjoyed reading Blinded Me With Science by Tara September. This college, second-chance, Good Girl/(former)Bad Boy romance ticked lots of boxes for me with a not-so-opposites-attract HEA. Emerson and Steely (Steel) seem like the classic good girl/bad boy trope, but as you read, you learn the depths of each character and who they are now vs. when they knew each other in prep school. Emerson creates a list of new experiences she wants to have in college and Steel is ready and eager to help her achieve her goals in the science lab and out.

Tara September’s books are new to me and Blinded Me With Science has me eager for more. And fortunately there are more books in her A Lesson in Love series of college romances. I highly recommend this book, especially if you enjoy new adult romance novels with a dash of science, family drama, open-hearted characters, and steam!

thank you netgalley and plus it up team for the arc in exchange of an honest review.

emerson and steel know each other since prep school but they aren’t friends, she does everything to avoid him but that can’t happen anymore since they’re partners in biology class. steel finds out about emerson’s little list of things she wants to do to make college a better experience in her life and he wants to help her since she — even without knowing — saved his life after school. and after two years he still looks up to her so of course he will help her and maybe she will fell for him as well.

as a reader i know that it’s hard to work with novellas since you have few pages to immerse with a story and i’m afraid the author didn’t know how to work with it because it was a pretty shallow plot. the beginning is kinda fun but the middle and ending are just vague, you start wondering about “where’s the rest?”, the idea was a good one but poorly written and developed.

blinded me with science is a good novella to read in one sitting if you don’t really want to think about what’s going on.

This is a cute, fun, quick read romance centering around Emerson and Steel. She is a science geek, and he is the son of a famous rock star. Em remembers him from high school as the popular kid always causing trouble, while Steel remembers her as the one he could never stop thinking of. When the two are paired up for a science class, the chemistry is instantaneous.
Loved the characters and the cute banter between them.

This is the perfect book for those looking for a quick read that is lighthearted but packed full of emotion.

I was a bit skeptical going into this one. I really liked the synopsis, but sometimes novellas are a miss rather than a hit for me. Luckily, this one panned out. It’s short, but you really get to know Emerson and Steel in the short amount of time we have.

Emerson was smart, but not so brainy it was off putting. She was ready to breakaway from her goody two shoes self, and what better way than with the crazy boy from high school.

Steel was just a sweetheart. The way he took care of Emerson when she wanted to go to clubs or parties, and the way he expressed his love for her. I really liked him and wish all guys could be like him.

It was over too soon, but there are many other books in this series. I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next.

Had a promising premise but didn't live up to it. Read like a fanfiction or wattpad story, which can be good, but just didn't hit with this book. There were a lot of sub plots that didn't get any attention once they were introduced (Steel's Dad, Emerson's interaction with her father) they were resolved worh one or two sentences in the epilogue. The entire book from chapter 5 on felt incredibly rushed and unthought out.

Blinded Me with Science was a nice snack of a book. As it is a rather short book, the story progresses fast but it never feels rushed. It helped that the characters had some backstory to pull from, as it made more sense for their lovestory.
Overall, I enjoyed this quick read.

What a fun college romance read!!! So much tension as Steel tries to prove to his High school crush, Emerson that he is no longer the bad boy rock star’s son. Emerson, however, being the goodie two shoes is definitely stubborn when it comes to changing her mind.

This is book number two in this series. It is Steel and Emerson’s story and I loved it. Smart girl and bad boy makes an enjoyable read in a college setting. I look forward to the next book! Thanks #Netgalley for the ARC!!

This is such a sweet YA story. Steel has been through some tough times and overcome. He is a better person and wants to give credit to Emerson for the changes. Emerson wants to come.out of her shell. She wants to be more like what she thinks a normal college student should act like. They are sweet and witty and silly and connected. I like this uplifting story a lot. The steam is spicy and well written.

I was given a copy of this in exchange for a review.

I thought this was a fun read. I've never read anything by Tara September before so a new to me author. This one is set during the college years which is not a trope I generally read but this one was fun I thought. Bad boy turns good and helps out the good girl try out being bad. This one is a short read but enjoyable.

Blinded Me With Science is a sweet and steamy opposites-attract college romance that will make you swoon. Emerson is a smart and nerdy science major who wants to spice up her junior year with some new experiences. Steel is the son of a rock star who has a reputation for being a bad boy, but he’s determined to show Emerson his good side. Together, they embark on a series of experiments, both in and out of the lab, that bring them closer and challenge their assumptions. This book is full of witty banter, chemistry, and heart. If you’re looking for a fun and flirty read with a STEM heroine and a rock star’s son, you'll love this book.

This is a sweet collage NA romance. It is a short story and is really lovely when we go through Em's bucket list with Steel in tow.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgalley

*I received this book free from NetGalley.*

Emerson was the dean's daughter in prep school and now that she was off at college she wanted to change a few things, although she wasn't sure how. Then Steel walked into her Advanced Bio class she was speechless. She remembered him vividly from prep school. Hot, yes. Troublemaker, definitely! She couldn't wrap her head around the fact that this man she knew as basically a delinquent was in her Advanced Bio class.

Steel was drawn to Emerson the first day of prep school when she showed him around, but she was too good for him, and he knew better than to try anything until he was the man she needed him to be. So that's what he did. He did online college classes and helped his dad's band out with a lot of things, gaining actually experience while getting his education and when he found out which college Emerson had gone too, he followed. He wanted her and no matter how long it took he was in for the forever.

Emerson creates this list on the things she needs to do and Steel accidentally comes across it. He talks her into letting him help her accomplish all her goals, because he wants to be near her. She agrees, because she thinks he can actually help. The big one on the list...to lose her virginity...oh he definitely wants to help with that, but because he loves her, he'll make sure everything happens the right way.

Blinded me with Science is romantic and funny. I enjoyed the way the characters interacted, the storyline was fun and interesting, and the combination of it all kept me awake all night and turning the pages.

Tara was nice enough to provide me a copy of the audiobook and NetGalley provided me an ecopy so I went back and forth. The narrator's voice I thought was perfect. She was youthful and she had an extra *something* for Steel's voice that I really enjoyed.

The story itself was so great. It was a little short for my liking only because once I got into it I really wanted more of Emerson and Steel. I wasn't ready to say goodbye to them by the end.

It really was structured and the discovery that Emerson had a bigger impact on Steel back in high school I thought was a fitting lesson we all forget. Sometimes we don't know the impact we have on people for better or for worse. We're only getting one side of the story (our side) and often jumping to conclusions with only 1/2 the story causes incorrect assumptions. Having someone who brings out a different side to you (the cheese to your macaroni) is exactly why the Opposite's Attract trope is one of my favorites.

This is a fun, entertaining, good read. Steel and Emerson are interesting, intriguing, entertaining, relatable characters. They captured my attention from the start and held it until the very end. I love Steel and Emerson and their romance. They are so good together and their romance is very fitting for them. While I loved the romance the subplots are good and add dimension to the story. The secondary characters – particularly Emerson’s friends Jax and April – added to the fabric of the story. The book is easy to read and get into. I’m looking forward to reading other books by this author.

I enjoyed both the audio and the ebook versions of this story. The narrator did a good job.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the chance to read this eARC in exchange for a honest review.

I really enjoyed this book, nice fast read but done well and there was detail. Emerson was a fun, smart, whitty female lead who i really enjoyed. Steel was a good original name that you don't see over and over in books so I loved that, he was also a great character! His character growth even though we don't see it and it's through memories is still phenomenal!!
I would definitely recommend this book to everyone.

Blinded me with science is a cute enemies to lovers with romance novella. Emerson and Steel are the two main characters and had amazing chemistry throughout the whole book. The two attended high school together and now college. Steel is the popular bad boy and Emerson was the good girl in high school, time has changed but can they change how they see one another? You will need to read to find out but I 100% enjoyed this romance novella.
