Unfortunately I have not been able to connect with this book and found it to be too slow paced. The premise is great but unfortunately it didn't deliver, although there was a couple of really good twists towards the end.

An intriguing and compelling read, a mystery with twists and turns you won't see coming. The writing is clever and keeps you guessing, the characters are all well written and interesting and the book itself took me no time at all to read.

A book that will have you on the edge of your seat and keep you turning the pages. Very entertaining and a great read.

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

This book is a slow burn, and I found it extremely hard to connect with the characters. The ending was good, although a bit rushed .

This was an interesting read with a different premise to many other books in the same genre, which for me, made it stand out. I liked the story and it kept me reading although I did find some parts of the story a little unbelievable. I wouldn't say this was a psychological thriller but it did hold my interest throughout the majority of the book.

Really enjoyed this story of an actress trying to get ahead…with a not great past…the troubles of getting a part, and the twists in the community.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #StormPublishing for the book #SomeoneLikeYou by #BeckyAlexander. This suspenseful book is full of secrets, murder and toxic relationships with an actress trying to find her way. She didn’t bargain for what she found.

2.5 stars. I went into this book thinking it was a thriller, but it read like a general fiction book to me. It moved very slow, but I was invested and wanted to know how it would all wrap up. While the book was slow, the ending did pack a few twists and turns, but they felt rushed. The characters weren't likeable, but I feel that was purposely done by the author. The MC could've used more character development throughout the storyline. I did like the premise of the book. I saw it as something different and unique.

Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for an ARC in exchange for my honest and voluntary review.

Another amazing thriller, wow just wow.

Even with 1st person of view in this tale, the explanation of the other characters and the settings between New York and London, were described amazing. I loved it!

Some twists I could point out easily, while others kept me in suspense and on my toes.

Beautiful story.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc. Loved the premise of this book. It didn't seem like a thriller book until the ending. I did like it, however. Definitely mysterious and manipulating.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this eARC.

Someone Like You is a gripping psychological thriller. The story follows Jemima, a struggling actress who lands a role in a play directed by the mysterious and manipulative Rebecca Sheridan. But Jemima soon realizes that nothing is as it seems, and that she is caught in a web of lies, secrets, and murder.

The author does a great job of creating suspense and tension throughout the book, as well as developing complex and flawed characters. Jemima is a sympathetic and relatable protagonist, who has a dark past that haunts her. Rebecca is a cunning and ruthless antagonist, who has a hidden agenda and a twisted mind. The other characters are also well-written and have their own secrets and motives.

The plot is fast-paced and full of twists and turns, and the story explores themes such as identity, deception, betrayal, revenge, and obsession. The writing style is engaging and easy to follow, and the dialogue is realistic and witty. The setting of the theatre world adds an extra layer of drama and intrigue to the story.

Someone Like You is a highly recommended read for fans of psychological thrillers that will keep you reading. It is a stunning debut by Becky Alexander, who is a talented and promising author. I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

This book started off very slow. I’d liked to say it picked up but it didn’t. Well, not until the very end, I’ll get to that in a second though! It was too informational and not very thrilling for me. I liked the premise though. There was a lot of twists and turns but they were very predictable for me. Now, where it picked up… the ending! It was very rushed like they didn’t know how to end it. A lot going on at once. That being said, it might be better fitted for someone else so I will still recommend and I will still check out more from this author.

SPOILER ALERT!!

I asked for this ARC because the cover looks interesting and the description too. And I love psychological thrillers, they are by far my most favourite genre. When I read the description, for a moment I though that it was going to be written like If we were villain, but it was not and I was really happy for that.

This is the story of Jemina Evans, a British actress who is trying to get a chance in the theatre industry. With no friends (her best friends is living her best life in USA) in London, she is trying to get her big shoot with this new audition for a play. Of course she made trough the audition and get the role in the play, and she will be working with very important people in the industry.

During he whole book I had the feeling that something was going to happened, that all the characters where involved in order to do something to Jemina. From Ed, who technically attack her during the second audition, till Greg, who was basically dating her, and I was really enjoying it so much, but later on the book came a little slow and nothing excited happened until almost the end when I found out that it was only Rebecca, who want to revenge on her because of the death of the love of her life in hands on Jemina's brother Mark.

At the end, I did not expect much of this book, I was almost 90% of it and nothing extraordinary had happened yet so my surprise was huge when, at the last minutes I found out everything!!! It was something that I did not expect and that is why I like this genre the most, but I think the dead of this two characters at the end were really unnecessary. That only shows who selfish Jemina was and that she would do everything to success, but I think it did not help at all to the storyline.

This is a really good book, it is really well written, but I would not consider it as a thriller, maybe a drama or something, but I am not the expert here

Thanks to Becky Alexander, Storm Publishing and NetGalley for a gifted ARC of this book- my review is voluntary and my honest opinion.
