Great book!! This book kept me guessing what was going on. Tons of character development throughout the book and a great ending. I would definitely recommend to any readers!

Talk about a fast pace binge read!! 😅 There are three POVs and at first you wonder how they will all be connected but once it clicks… the puzzle fits perfectly!! It's not often the case that I finish a book in one sitting, but that was true for this book. From beginning to end, I couldn't put it down. Alex Finlay is a new author to me, but I'll be reading from him again for sure.

This was a fast paced, one day read for me. I could feel myself reading faster and quickly turning the pages as I flew through it. Written from multiple characters’ point of view, short chapters and multiple country backdrops, the intrigue twisted and turned until the very end. I liked it!

I flew through this one in a couple hours while flying. The multiple POVs were so well done. I was hooked on this mystery, and how all the parts intertwined.

The characters were well developed and mostly I didn't see the end coming. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good mystery!

Alex Finlay knows how to tell a story. This was a very entertaining read, full of revenge, trauma, secrets, and lies. I loved how everything was wrapped up in the end. I’d recommend it to others.

Talk about a fast paced binge read! This was an effortless read for me, the pages flew by and I was finished before I even realized how far in I was. You have three narrators, Ryan, Poppy and Shane and at first glance it’s hard to see how they will all be connected. There was an excellent twist that tied them all together and just made this one really clever. Besides short and snappy chapters you get some great tension and lots of action leading up to a conclusion that I didn’t totally see coming. I don’t wanna spoil anything, but if you like addictive and pacey thrillers that are a puzzle to piece together this was great!

Ryan has been living a nightmare since high school, when his girlfriend Ali was ripped from his arms one night, never to be seen again. His recollection of that evening was vague. To compound the pain, no one believed his tale of what happened.

Years later Ryan changed his last name hoping to reinvent himself.

On a trip to Italy with his law school classmates he catches sight of something that shocks him to the core. It’s the man from that dreaded day! Ryan must risk his own life to track this man down and finally find out what happened to Ali.

Once again Alex Finlay writes a propulsive read that keeps you fully engaged trying to assemble the pieces of the puzzle together. I’ve enjoyed all his previous books and look forward to more in the future! He’s definitely become a go-to author for me.

If Something Happens to Me is a suspenseful story of mystery, revenge, and redemption. Don't expect plot twists, but if you're looking for a gripping read, this is it.

Ryan and Alison were a couple who were celebrating their senior year by parking at a lover's lane. Suddenly, Ali was pulled out of the car, Ryan was hit over the head and she disappeared without any trace. Although there was no evidence to support this, suspicion fell on Ryan. Five years later, Ali's car was found submerged in a lake in his hometown, things became complicated. Two men were found dead inside the car along with a letter that read, "If something happens to me".

There are a lot of characters in the story, and none of them are entirely good or bad. They all have their flaws and secrets. I couldn't relate to any of them, but the plot is fast-paced, although it starts a bit slow. I didn't find any thrilling elements in the story, isn't dark, just a lot of action and suspense. I believe it would be a good TV series, and how it is written would make for a great show.

I love thrillers!! This was a quick read that kept you on the seat of your pants. I enjoyed the plot, but it did start out a little slow for me.

Alex Finlay has climbed up the ranks and is one of the best thriller authors in my opinion. Every book I've read by him, I'm completely sucked in, lose track of time, and think about the book days/weeks after I finish.

If Something Happens to Me is a new favorite thriller of all time for me. You get pulled in from the first chapter and you never want to stop reading. I love the short chapters, the multiple perpesectives, the time jumps, and the twists and turns that caught me completely off guard.

I went into this book kind of blind, besides knowing that we are following a man named Ryan, who's girlfriend mysteriously disappeared without a trace years ago and everyone thinks Ryan murdered her. Ryan has made a new life for himself with a new name, but his father calls him out of the blue about how something has emerged with the case.

The way Finlay writes has you rooting for all the characters, he puts so much thought into each character and I love it. With so many perspectives you need to have fleshed out characters or else they all seem to run together. Finlay knows how to make each character unique and stand out.

I honestly know I won't stop talking about this book for months to come. I will be recommending this book ANYTIME someone wants an edge of their seat thriller!!

Alex Finlay Is a brilliant, thriller, mystery writer. He captivates you from the first word to the last. I loved everything about If Something Happens to Me. The beginning, middle and end are all perfectly executed.

I advise people to read this book when they have time to read it in one or two days, there is a lot going on in the plot forcing you to read through the night. Reading it quickly will help you to not forget who everyone is and to remember the role they play in this twisted plot.

And don’t forget….. “If you’re seeking revenge dig two graves-one for your enemy and one for yourself.”

What a journey!

This book was hard to put down. I enjoyed the multiple POVs and that they were very easy to follow along. The chapters were short, which made it a super quick read and very easy to convince myself that I will just read "one more chapter" before I go to bed.

If you are looking for a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat, this one is for you!

This was an incredibly engaging read and was very gripping. The major twist, I didn’t see coming. However, I did found that there were too many characters intertwined into the plot lines and it felt a little confusing at times

Ryan and his girlfriend are on Lover's Lane when his car door is wrenched open and he is knocked out. His girlfriend Ali is kidnapped and he is the prime suspect.

This is one of those stories where you can't say too much even to praise it because it's a spoiler. The story is told from multiple view points which at first had me questioning why we were getting their story. It all comes together and is one fast paced and action packed ride! I could not put it down. This is my new favorite by Finlay. I highly recommend it to everyone!

This is the first book by Alex Finlay that I’ve read, but it definitely will not be the last. “If Something Happens To Me” is a fabulous thriller, with just the right level of complexity to keep the reader guessing. I really appreciated the unusual structural elements that created one of the major twists in this story about an abducted woman and her boyfriend who was left behind to face scrutiny and wonder what really happened. I also really liked that so many characters appeared to be neither patently good or bad, and that aspect added depth to this book. Once I started reading I didn’t want to stop and so this was a quick, exciting read. Something I’ve loved about Alex Finlay’s books is his ability to provide multiple POV and storylines, keep his reader engaged, then seamlessly reveal how they are entangled. You know when you’re reading there’s a way everything’s connected, but you cannot even begin to guess how so. I loved each individual side story and gasped when everything fell into place. I read this in less than 24 hours, as it kept me fully engaged and intrigued.
