A beautiful cookbook filled with easy and nutritous recipes based on fresh ingredients. I appreciate the pictures with each recipe and the wide variety of recipes.

Girl Eats Good is a simple but healthy collection of recipes for all occasions. They are easy to follow and crucially there is a photograph for every entry so you can see what you are supposed to be making. The ingredients are simple enough, and there are plenty of recipes I would try. A good book for beginner cooks or anyone wanting to focus on healthy eating.

Beautiful photos. Light simple recipes. Can’t wait to try some of these out! I will say, I wish the measurements were converted to cups as well. A lot of cookbooks this year show not only grams but it’s cup equivalent in the recipe as well for everyone around the world to understand. Wish this one followed that trend.

A lot of really nice recipes. Most seemed pretty simple. All seemed healthy and nourishing. Absolutely beautiful photos of every recipe. I sure do appreciate that. I’m more inclined to make a recipe if I’ve seen a picture of how it turns out first.

“Girl Eats Good” by Jo Kenny is a great cookbook for easy recipes to have a healthier diet. This book is especially great for twenty-year-old and busy people that need simple recipes that fit a lot of people’s tastes. It’s a great way to enhance the “Girl Dinner” lifestyle in an easy way. Worth reading. 4 out of 5 stars from me.

Cannot wait to try out some of these recipes! I have been trying to eat healthier and eat fresher foods and this book does a fantastic job of pointing you in the right direction. The photographs are beautiful and made me really want to try some of the dishes even ones that I normally wouldn't gravitate towards.

A wonderful cookbook that would make a nice addition to anyones library. A broad swath of recipes from breakfast through dinner that are creative, are easy to follow and prepare and are inclusive of easy to find ingredients. The accompanying photograph for each recipe was terrific. Not only were they beautiful, but I enjoy seeing what the result should be. I’ve tried a few already. Most of the veggies, the pea and asparagus soup, spinach and orzo soup, the grilled peach salad, and multiple dips and dressings and yum! Have plenty more earmarked that sound and look delicious. A vegetarian book that will satisfy even the most staunch carnivore!

And here I am again, perpetuating my obsession with plant-based diet cookbooks. Kenny has put together lovely, low effort recipes that can become a staple in any 20-something working person. Simple, fast and easy to maintain.

I thought that this cookbook had a lot of quick, fulfilling recipes that can be made easily. I will be happy to try a few of them over the next few weeks. Hopefully I will be able to incorporate them into the dinner rotation because they look so simple to make. My only wish is that I was able to see how many carbs were in each dish. I cook for someone who is diabetic and has to watch for their carbs. Other than that, it was a great cookbook with what looks like easy and fulfilling recipes.

Easy, nutritious recipes that are also quick to make. With recipes that have a short list of ingredients, nice pictures, and a whole food approach, this is a book I could see myself reaching for often. Quick bites, breakfast recipes, and a great chapter of dips, this was a fun, impressive read!

This is a great cookbook to have on hand! It is full of healthy and super easy recipes for your entire day. I am very excited for the many options of make ahead breakfasts and snacks which will be great to take with me to work.

This is a cool cookbook for a good nutritious recipe. Lots of good little bites. My favorite section was the dips and sauces.

It is a smaller cookbook which brings it to a 4 star for me.

i am the definition of a lazy cook. every good idea of a meal falls short when I realize I don't want to wait an hour to eat for 5 minutes but my goal for 2024 is to cook more and this cook will be my foundation on changing things up.

these recipes are simple and don’t take much time, perfect for us busy bodies who (like previously states) just can’t be bothered come dinner time.

The 3 must makes: orange and cranberry granola (my husband is going to love these), red pepper and basil pasta, and the creamy spinach pinwheels

Jo Kenny, cookbook author and blogger (Girl Eats World), has released her second cookbook, Girl Eats Good: hearty, nourishing, stress free recipes . The cookbook is filled with fairly easy recipes using standard ingredients that are easy to find and cook with. It isn’t clear why these recipes are stress free – some cooks stress whenever they are obligated to cook, so is there a way to measure a recipe due to the stress level of preparing it? While there are some appealing recipes, they are vegetarian, which doesn’t interest most carnivores, and will make this book one that they won’t want to add to their cookbook collection.

The recipes are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first, followed by step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow for any cook, beginning to advanced. The recipes are also in metric (Kenny writes from the UK), but there is a conversion chart included at the beginning of the book. One problem with the recipes is that when it calls for “a can” of something, it doesn’t give the size. Most canned ingredients come in more than one size, so it would be nice if the recipes specified the sizes.

One positive aspect of this cookbook is that there is a beautiful, professional photograph of each recipe, which makes them appear mouthwatering, and will entice cooks to make them for their friends and families.

All told, this is a nice cookbook, and one that vegetarians will want to own.
