A different look at how feelings and depression can effect young readers with a religious take on the steps to overcome these negative feelings "black scribbles" in life.
Overall, a good title to add to a diverse collection of SEL books for young readers.
I received a free copy from Netgalley. All opinions are my own.
Wait for the Lord, be strong and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the Lord! Psalm 27:14
What a very special book on foster care kids. The emotions that they go thru and how God is never far from the hurting. It is not only a book for foster care family but also for any family. It teaches our children awareness of others that may not have what they have in a family unit. Many scriptures thru out the "scribbles" that give hope and strengthens our faith.
Strong recommend for all Christian families.
A special thank you to B&H Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review
This book warmed my heart. The story gives the perfect name for the hard emotions and experiences that young children face, and then draws the reader to cry out to God. The reader sees how much God can be trusted. And to know that the scribbles will one day become something beautiful.
I really loved the Scriptures included on the bottom of the pages.
Simple Book With Much Wisdom and Truth!
This book is geared to 2-6 year olds but a lot of adults could gain a lot from it!
We all have scribbles in our lives! This can help kids gain an understanding that will hopefully stick with them for those years when the scribbles are deeper and harder to allow God to change them into beautiful.
The illustrations were simple yet adorable and eye catching.
I can’t wait to share this with some special kiddos in my life.
I received a complimentary ARC of this book from NetGalley on behalf of the Publisher and was under no obligation to post a favorable review.
This is a sweet book that shows children that they are always able to lean on God's love. The illustrations were gorgeous and really added to the experience. My 4 year old had a hard time sitting through the entire book when she normally doesn't, so I would say this book should be geared towards kids a little older.
A sweet little book ensuring children that no bad choice or decision (or scribble) can separate them from the love of God. I can see this being a very helpful tool. The illustrations are lovely, the writing is poetic in nature. I am partial to more story telling, especially in books geared towards children but this was still very sweet.
