thank you to netgalley, the publisher, and to tate james for the advanced reader copy of "hate". in this book, we are following madison kate danvers following being framed for a crime, and her journey of revenge. i am a SUCKER for revenge plots, especially when the individual seeking retribution is a woman. this book will absolutely succeed in getting your blood pumping and your adrenaline rushing. madison kate is such a badass resilient protagonist that is effortless to root for. she is vulnerable but she is also determined. her dynamic with archer, kodiak, and steele is SO fun and steamy and i found myself on edge, not knowing whether to fall for them or distrust them. the setting of shadow grove is the perfect atmosphere for this story-- i had no problems feeling like i myself was a character in the book. while some twists were a bit cliche, as is with any romantic suspense, i had a great time, and highly recommend.

Hate by Tate James begins with an interesting premise with the story of the unaliving of Madison Kate ….only for Madison Kate, herself, to completely disagree with that statement. Hate contains a strong & compelling young woman & the new morally grey men that are now in forced proximity with her. It starts with enemies & revenges only for life, family drama, danger & so much more to completely change all of their lives forever.
This is book #1 in the Madison Kate series. I will warn any potential reader that this ends on a cliff hanger & will have you eager to get your hands on book #2.
Hate & the Madison Kate series is great for fans of…
💚 New Adult Romance
💚 Enemies to Lovers
💚 Why Choose
💚 Forced Proximity
💚 Family Drama
💚 Dark Romance
While I have only read the first book in this series, it does have a darker romance vibe, so do with that what you will.
Tate James writes an incredible & intriguing romances. I am keen to read more! If you haven’t read Tate James before, I recommend giving their work a try!
Massive thanks to NetGalley & Bloom Books for the gifted copy, which I voluntarily read & reviewed.

Shadow Grove heiress and pink haired beauty Madison Kate, has the "picture perfect" life until one night sends things crashing down in a tailspin. She doesn't know which was is up anymore and is supposed to be dead. To top if off MK is famed and being made an example of for a bunch of charges from riot night, and there a 3 brutally attractive men to blame - Archer D'Ath, Kodiak (Kody) Johnson, and Max Steele. And you know what they say "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned", so MK is out to get her hate fueled revenge on her 3 new babysitters/reason for her downfall. Oh and one of them Archer is going to be her stepbrother.
Too bad the boys give just as good as they get. Which means they continue to be bullies, while also being overprotective/patriarchal assholes, while also coming onto MK. Thankfully you can't keep a sarcastic bitch down. Are some of the antics on both part immature yes but somewhat appropriate for the age of the characters and you know the privileged yet underground world they are a part of. What better way to bring hottie MMA fighter and leader of the pack Archer down a peg or two, but to make his best friends/brother fall in love with MK and turn over new leaves to being MK's lovers, protectors, and friends. All while Archer is also pines for her but resists their undeniable attraction.
This book was a good set of pace and tone for the wild ride that is the Madison Kate series, also setting up the foundation for the spin off series. Hate walked so Kate could run, Hades could fly, and Danny could spy.

Madison Kate was thought murdered, but now she's back at her dad's house where everything's different. Living with her stepbrothers, who work for her dad but avoid her, she's out for revenge. As she spends more time with them, she realizes things aren't as they seem.
I instantly liked Madison Kate—she's a compelling character, and her morally grey guys? They're irresistible. The banter and chemistry between them all kept me hooked. Excited to see how the series unfolds!

This story will make you forget every and any responsibility exists and consume every aspect of your soul. I couldn’t stop even if I tried… but let’s be honest, why would I try when I could get lost in this story for hours?
A deliciously dark story full of twists and turns that will have you screaming and squirming - Madison Kate is the girl of my dreams, while Archer, Steele, and Kody check every single book bae box.
𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 5/5⭐️ | 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 3/5🌶️ | 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 4/5🔥

Tate James is easily one of my all time favorite authors, and Madison Kate is one series I will routinely come back to for rereads.
Madison Kate attends Riot Night but quickly runs into trouble. She was arrested, but to keep her out of jail, her father sends her away. One year later, MK is back in Shadow Grove and is ready to find her revenge against those who wronged her. She quickly sets her target on Archer, Kodiak, and Steele. As much as she hates the three of them for what happened to her on Riot Night, she can't deny her attraction and chemistry she has with them. Throw in a stalker who is following MK around, the three guys quickly step up to protect her. Nothing is as it seems and MK has no idea what is true or what to believe.
Hate perfectly sets up the rest of the series and kept me on the edge on my seat with what was to come next. I highly recommend this series to everyone. It will always be one of my favorites.

Angsty, slutty, addictive GOODNESS. Consider me sat for the re-releases of the rest of the books. Reverse harem is sometimes hard to pull off in a heartfelt manner, but there is no doubt that it works here!

I am now addicted to this series. OOOO the spice the plot. Everything about this book was fun.
Thank you so much to the publisher and netgalley.

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.

I received Hate in return for an honest review via Netgalley.
Madison Kate was murdered or at least that's what everyone though, and now she's back in her dad's house but everything had changed. Now she's living with her step brothers who work for her dad and he's avoiding her. She wants revenge for what happened to her and they are living down the hall. However, the more time she spends with the guys the more she see things may not be as they seem.
I liked Madison Kate right from the start she's a great character and I love her guys but I'm a sucker for a morally grey man. I truly enjoyed the banter and chemistry between Madison Kate and the men. Each one is unique and brings something different and I hope as the series progress things work it's way out.
This isn't my first book by Tate James she's one of my favorites and I can't believe I haven't read this series yet. I love the author's writing style she tells a captivating beautiful story that kept me hooked till the very last page. I'm not a huge fan of Cliffhangers but talk about the way to end the story. I need the next one now, and since they are all out I'm going to devour them all because I'm hooked. Highly recommend because Hate was amazing and I loved every moment of it.

OMG !! Thank you so much for the chance to read this book.. I have never read anything by Tate James but this book made me want to read more of her stuff.. This book was amazing.. I have never read a book about MMA fighters before but it is a topic I will be reading more of for sure.. Recommend? 100% for sure.. ~Happy Reading~

Absolutely loved this book! I kept hearing about the "Madison Kate" series and didn't understand the hype, but I do now!!

** spoiler alert ** To quote Ten Things I Hate About You, "I know you can be underwhelmed and you can be overwhelmed, but can you ever just be whelmed?" This book left me whelmed.
I've read my fair share of RH books, and this one seemed like it was ticking off a checklist.
✔️ Spunky heroine with a backbone made of steel
✔️ Forced proximity that's slightly unexplainable
✔️ Heroes who bully yet are secretly smitten with the heroine
I liked this book enough to get through it, but I likely won't be finishing the series which sucks because I want to know who the stalker is and how everything is related to her mother's death.

I loved this! it was the perfect start to a series; it kept me wanting more and more. especially, the ending?!?!? picking up book 2 ASAP.

Hate by Tate James
The new Bloom Books cover definitely added to why I wanted to read this book. The plot was built up quickly, but plateaued in the middle, only to start heating up in the end; I have a love/hate relationship with cliffhangers, and I’m definitely ready to find out what happens in the next chapter.
Blurb:
“Madison Kate Danvers was murdered tonight.”
Those words changed my life, and not for the better.
They were wrong, of course. I wasn’t dead. But I was set up.
After being charged with a string of offences--and made an example of by my political minded father--I’m eventually released back into Shadow Grove with one thing on my mind.
Hate.
Someone is going to pay for derailing my carefully laid out future. Someone is going to catch the full force of my hate. How very convenient that someone just moved into the bedroom down the hall from me.
Archer D’Ath and his boys messed with the wrong chick and they’re about to learn just how cold Madison Kate’s hate can run.
HATE is a full length mature college/new adult romance with enemies-to-lovers/love-hate themes. This is a reverse harem novel, meaning the main character has more than one love

Thank-you to NetGalley, Bloom Books, and Tate James for the eARC.
Okay. So. This genre? Very much not my thing. I honestly don't even remember my thought process when requesting this book — I think I was just excited to get a whole series, TBH. Would I have made it more than like 10% if this wasn't a NetGalley ARC? Probably not. HOWEVER, I must admit, I am intrigued and am looking forward to seeing this series through.
That being said, I know exactly which customers to recommend this series to and they will be THRILLED. =P

I read the reviews before I dove into this book and was a little let down by how bad they were, however upon reading it, maybe I'm just a sucker for smut and have low standards because I truly did enjoy the book from beginning to end.
Some of the twists are a little predictable, but they didn't cause me to enjoy the book any less! I'm enjoying the why choose theme that's going on, and the twist at the end of the boy with blue eyes telling her to not watch the violence inside the old bar made my entire heart squeeze. I have a feeling we are about to get set up in the future books for a much deeper romance than just physical attraction, although that is pretty captivating also.
I'm also still enthralled in the situation with her friend Bree and why there seems to be some sort of secrets being kept there, I'm excited to delve into book 2 eventually and I truly think I'm going to enjoy the entire series. I'm 100% a vibe reader and this book was a vibe.

Hate is the first book in the Madison Kate series. This book is about Madison Kate, Archer, Kodiak, and Steele and is told from all of their points of view. After something happens to Madison Kate wants nothing to do with the three boys, but when they show up and are in her life more than she wants she has to learn if she wants to work with them or against them.
Feelings also start to develop between the three, but she is also wanting revenge for what happened.
I loved the start of this book, and can't wait to continue on in the series.

This book was such a disappointment. Being sent to some third world countryto live with your aunt for less than a year as punishment for the “crimes” she was charged with is just unrealistic. Then for the main character to have ALL this hate towards them because they ruined her over privileged life. Eye roll…..the storyline could have used a little work.

I went into this not thinking that a why choose contemporary would be for me, but WOW OH WOW. This book is perfect for anyone who loves romance with high stakes. It has qualities that I love in action movies/thrillers but with great romance as well. It also was so funny at times!
The spice...well.....yeah it was superb. Cannot wait to continue this series!
