Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.
I was quite excited for a different genre to read, and Tate James is a queen for this one. Madison is a rich-beautiful and a badass girl, shackled with a group of young men and they hate each other. But finally, they will know each other and they will be more. The writing was good, easy but not simple. Thank you for the opportunity, I will most certainly finish the series

This why choose romance series is so addicting. I binged the whole book in a morning and am dying to move on to book two. The connection and heat between these characters is so good and you get just enough in the first book to need to know what's happening in their lives and in their romances. It's a fantastic blend of suspense and new adult and steamy, fast paced romance that we crave. Bring on all of the Tate James , please

Madison Kate Danvers went out for a night of fun and MMA fighting. But she ended up arrested and being set up for starting a huge gang war that resulted in Riot Night. After a year away, she finds herself in the same house at the 3 guys that she believes set her up.

This is definitely an enemies to lovers. Why choose.

Fighting the attraction for these 3 and trying to get back at them for setting her up. Some of the pranks are a little juvenile, but they cause a stir.

This book is a good setup for the series. It sets up their individual relationships with MK. The epilouge give you a glimpse of the other side.

It ends on a cliffhanger. And I can't wait to see what is in store for the rest of this series.

I need these in print. My lord I read them out of order but who cares these are amazing. I could not put this one down. The characters and story were so freaking good.

I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Madison Kate once lived a charmed life until she is framed for a crime she didn’t commit. A year later she is back in her hometown ready to get revenge on the people who framed her. The only problem is due to external forces she ends up living in the same house as them. She knows they are hiding something and not being honest with her, but she can’t figure out the what.

I enjoyed the mystery and tense scenes in this book. It kept me guessing and nothing is as it seems. This first book ends on a cliff hanger, so I am excited to jump into the next book.

Five stars

Let me tell you, I am obsessed with this book. It has the perfect enemies to lovers' vibes. I was right there cheering on Madison Kate, being angry and looking for some pay back, because of things that happened in this book. Her character at times came off as childish because of some of the steps she took for vengeance, but after reading the outcome, I wanted more. I can’t leave out all the amazing and extremely hot tension that was happening between the characters. It felt like I flew through this book because it just sucked you in. Along with all the romance building there were so many twists and mysteries around that night Madison got in trouble, the whole plot just sucked me in, and I just needed to go pick up the rest of the books. The main male characters are all very different. I felt we got to know one a lot more than the others, but I do very much like that maintain a shroud of mystery about some of them and things they are involved with. I will definitely be continuing on with this series, I loved this first one. If you are looking for enemies to lovers, why choose story with suspense, tension and great plot, please look into this one.
I received an ebook, via Netgalley. This review is my own honest opinion.

This book was very entertaining and unique! I was hooked the whole time and loved the plot. The whole book we are just trying to put piece together and uncovering new things as you read. The characters were also top notch. The female main character is super sassy and independent and I love her. The male main character are all so different but I love them all! We have a broody mmc, golden retreiver mmc, and a mysterious one. The tension in this book was tooooo good! The end of book one had me immediately wanting to pick up book 2. I highly recommend!

I literally could not put this book down. This is the fastest I've read a book in a while. I'm absolutely hooked. MK is such a badass and I love her take no sh*t attitude. Steele is my favorite right now although I like Kody's golden retriever vibe. Archer is definitely an a*hole but I'm waiting for the day he cracks his hard outer shell. Until then, he is on my sh*t list. I don't read thrillers but I love the thriller vibe in this and the mystery behind who her stalker is. That cliffhanger left me hanging by my pinky finger and forced me to immediately find book 2 and start it.

Thank you so much to Bloom Books and the author for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was SO fun and I binge read entirely in one sitting, and may have started the second book right away haha ! I give it four stars, mainly because I could’ve used some more spice then I thought was going to be included but I hear it gets spicier as it goes and I know im going to love these three boys. Also, our girl is awesome, I love her little revenge fun with the boys. I wish I had more answers near the end, but I know we will get there in the other books, like I don’t trust her father…

Ahh, I love this book so much. This is actually my third time rereading Hate and it's really no shock to me that I am still obsessed. Madison Kate is one of my all-time favorite FMCs. I love her attitude and how sassy she is towards the guys. This series is one of my favorite reverse harems of all time. I highly recommend this series.

It took me a while to get around to the book, I started and stopped it numerous times (hi, I’m a mood reader) but I ended up really loving it!

I went into this with 0 expectations and I absolutely LOVED it. I agree that MK was annoying and her actions of retaliation were childish but I think that's taking this book way too seriously lmao. My first reverse harem and I can't wait to read the next!!

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the DRC!

I don’t know if I’ve ever devoured a book so quickly. This story gripped me from page one and before I knew it - I was reaching for book two.

Fast paced, unpredictable, un-put-down able.

Highly recommend for the readers interested in a why choose romance series.

Thank you to Bloom Books for an early finished copy. There was no review obligation all opinions are honest and my own.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

TW: death of a parent (mother, past), violence, murder, gangs, gang violence, explicit language and sexual content, on the page sex, stalking, parental emotional neglect and abuse

I need to come back to this because I don’t have time right now to write this review. Did I rate this book under three stars? Yes. Should you mind your business when you see me reading book two? Also, yes.

I’m so weary of authors selling their books as if they are revenge stories full of feminine rage and retribution and all we get is tepid annoyance, with is overwhelmed by the extreme horniness of the FMC. The title is a lie, there is basically instant attraction she never stood a chance at truly getting revenge.

I know this was originally indie published in 2020 I believe and the books are being rereleased by Bloom Books in 2024. The first book at least is about 100 pages shorter than it’s indie counterpart. I want to know what happens next, but if this is the re-edited version there’s no way I’m putting myself through the original. I feel like the author went back in and made the language even more current. Here, let me list a few:

1. BDE (big d*ck energy)
2. Denial is not a river in Egypt
3. Not my monkeys, not my circus

There’s more but these are what I remembered off the top of my head.

This book is engaging in the way that bad reality tv is engaging. There’s enough there to make you want to keep watching, but you also feel yourself losing braincells in the process. Is this entertaining, albeit juvenile and too meta at times? Yeah, sure but the “revenge” is as lackluster as Den of Vipers, but not as severely lacking and disappointing as Corrupt.

Hey, I can admit Tate James still won though. I read it and I’m writing a review, and I’m pretty sure I’ll follow up with a TikTok. I used to think was a staple in “why-choose” romance they way it flooded Bookstagram feeds, but now I know the truth. If you’re expecting a ton of spice in this one adjust your expectations, since this is book one of four. There is mainly tension, make outs, and one kinda minimal sex scene.

Did I hate this book? No
Did I love it? No

I think the amount of times they say her full name "Madison Kate" really threw me off, lol!
But the story was good and fun and quick!

“Madison Kate Danvers was murdered tonight.”
Those words changed my life, and not for the better.
They were wrong, of course. I wasn’t dead. But I was set up.
Someone is going to pay for derailing my carefully laid out future. Someone is going to catch the full force of my hate. How very convenient that someone just moved into the bedroom down the hall from me.

Maddison Kate is strong, abrupt and often times violent. She is everything she needs to be in this wacked out world full of gangs, stalkers and MMA fighters. Often, the reverse harem can be a little forced, but Tate never lets us down in that department. The relationships are believable and don't feel forced. Hate is written that the story and the characters come first and the why choose element is the cherry on top of a very sexy sundae. Anyone who knows Tate's writing knows that she loves leaving us on epic cliffhangers and this one is no different. Pretty stoked to be diving into Liar right away! My hopes for the series is have MK just a little less catty - it's okay to be a badass women and not need to be rude, I also need to know more about the world - the stalker, the dad etc. All of those extra characters are here but not here.

Thank you to NetGalley, Sourcebooks Bloom Books and Tate James for an advanced copy in exchange for a review. All books are available now via EBooks and in rapid release paperbacks.

We've got the dark romance vibes without being too dark. Dare I say a pretty good intro to those wanting to sample a taste of what dark romance is? There's darkness to it, dark themes and of course it hints into the reverse harem area though it doesn't quite get there in this book. This is a good introduction and I'm sure as the series goes on, these elements and hints at what is to come will just be elevated.

This read like a good reality tv show to me, big on the dramatics, characters that you love, hate and love to hate, and of course just the general life is a trainwreck that you just can't look away from vibes. It was easy to get sucked in and all of a sudden I'm left at that cliff hanger going "Well now what!". While I'm not typically a fan of those endings that leave so much unresolved, this one gets a free pass because of just how addicting the story is (probably helps that I read when the series was being re-released and I don't have to wait).

You'll want to clear your weekend for this series and go ahead and spiral into the dark

DNF at 37%. The story and writing for this one were absolutely fine, the only reason or DNF'ing is that I really didn't like the FMC!
