This was a cute story. I loved how adventurous Tilly was, even by accident. She was very concerned about the family's reputation but broke protocol more often than not. Her sweet nature endeared her to me. Kit had a plan to try and end the family curse. His goal changed after his run in with Tilly. His single-mindedness was fun to watch though he kept his target secret. The supporting characters were a wonderful addition. A fun book to read, and I recommend it.
I received a copy through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.
Christopher Egan, the heir to the notorious Prestwick Earldom, is one of London’s most scandalous rakes until he decides that he must wed. After his uncle’s untimely death, he is determined that he will avoid the curse that follows the Prestwicks and ensure that the line is succeeded. Yet when he decides to visit his betrothed, Harriet, her friend Mathilda Templeton is determined that she will stop this match.
Another great book in this series where Mathilda, the youngest of the Templeton sisters, finds love with a notorious rake. There is plenty of witty dialogue as well as chemistry between this pair. Whilst both had past histories, their relationship grew as they spent time together. Whilst it was easy to love Tilly from the start, Kit also grew on me.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The first book in this series, Not Just Any Earl, got a rare 5 star rating from me, I don't give them out willy-nilly. I'm happy to get to sister 4 and find out that Mathilda, Tilly, has a lovely romance too. Kit, Christophen Egan, Earl of Prestwick, has an interesting backstory of dead relatives and a curse that make him the doomsday downer he starts out as, but thankfully comes out of quickly. He's been in a funk for some time and fortunately he meets Tilly and his life brightens. Their meeting is unorthodox but fits them, When you get to know them better you'll understand that the meeting was absolutely them.
Tilly isn't in London to find a husband but to check out the man her best friend is determined to marry. He'd have to check all the boxes or Tilly will have to save her friend from a huge mistake. She gets roped into helping Kit find a wife and it backfires. Kit has chosen his Countess and it's Tilly, he chases her and is relentless. I like it when the man falls first and the lady gets a proper courtship or chase or attention that I think we all deserve. Now we've one sister to go and she's been through the mill already so it better be a good man who treats her like a queen.

This was a really cute historical romance, thought I wish there was more steam. I did love their meet cute though!
Kit is poised to inherit the Prestwick Earldom He is one of London's most notorious rakes. Intent on overcoming the curse attached to the earldom following his death he looks for a wife. Mathilda Templeton is known for stirring up scandals, and tries to protect her shy friend Harriett from fortune hunters eyeing her substantial dowry during the season. When the scandalous Earl of Prestwick pursues Harriett, Tilly is resolute in thwarting his advances at any cost. This well-crafted and delightful romance expertly weaves the tale of Tilly and Kit, earning my admiration.
I’m always satisfied at the end of a Bradley’s book. It’s a gorgeous reading experience and this was no exception. I smiled a lot while reading this book and I really felt for the hero who was left alone in the world and with an alleged curse hanging over his head. Tilly is a force of nature and I loved her very much. I’ve liked all the Templeton sisters’ stories so far and I really can’t wait to read what will become of Euphemia. Hope she has a glorious HEA!

Christopher Egan, the Earl of Prestwick is determined to defeat the curse placed on the male of his line. All of his relatives before him have died after a duel before they turned 30. Kit decides he will not suffer the same fate and is determined to change his ways by marrying the lady (Harriet)he was betrothed to years ago. Tilly and her sister, Phee are in town for the season with Harrriet and her aunt Lady Fosberry. Tilly meets Kit late one night when she takes Lady Fosberry's dog for a walk and he runs into an open door of Kit's cottage. When Tilly sees Kit, she thinks something must have happened to him because he was lying unconscious in the elements and she didn't want to leave him that way. As she tries to rouse him, she throws alcohol in his face. Once Kit awakens he thinks she is the friend who just left and he later thinks she is a doxy and kisses her. Tilly runs away without telling Kit who she is but he has already figured out that she cannot be a doxy. After they meet, Tilly is determined to prevent Kit from forcing a marriage with Harriet after she learns she is his betrothed. Kit agrees to not marry Harriet if Tilly will assist him in finding a replacement lady to marry. A wonderful story to read and experience as Kit and Tilly get to know each other.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving a response.
This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was fun, sweet and action packed. It kept me reading. I enjoyed this book and hope to read more books by this author.
Earl Crazy by Anna Bradley is book 4 in the Games Earls Play Series. This is the story of Mathilda Templeton 'Tilly' and Christopher Egan 'Kit'. Tilly always seems to find trouble but she is a person that loves strongly. So when her best friend Harriet has to go and be presented ...Tilly goes too. Tilly wants to keep men away from Harriet that aren't really interested in her but in Harriet's purse strings. Kit is back in ton and has decided that he is going to take Harriet as a wife as she was promised to him. But then there is Tilly. Enjoyed their story.
I just love Anna Bradley, and was so excited for Earl Crazy!! This is the fourth in her series of the Templeton sisters and their earl romances. Three of the Templeton sisters married off, Matilda goes with her unmarried sister and her friend Harriet to London for a season. Matilda/Tilly does not want to marry but wants to help her friend to find love. Tilly has some streak of matchmaking in her, like her sisters.
I think Tilly's strong suit (as a Templeton sister does) is more of an earl magnet, While out finding the household dog, she runs into an unconscious man at their neighbor's house. Who is Christopher/Kit, Earl of Prestwick! She throws some absinthe in his face to wake him up, and shenanigans ensue.
Kit is in town to find a wife, and hopefully break a curse that seems to have befallen his family. He's been promised to Harriet, but instantly is drawn to Tilly. He sets out to win her heart, and Tilly sets out to veer him away from who she thinks he's after, Harriet.
Earl Crazy was a fast, amusing read! I was wishing it was longer. I've found the matchmaking streak of the sisters to be a little weak, as was the curse of the Prestwicks, but I liked the dialogue (snappy, humorous, and descriptive), the situations they found themselves in, and I love Anna Bradley's characters. If you are a HR fan, and like regency England settings, you would enjoy this read.
I received Earl Crazy as an ARC for my honest opinion. I really enjoyed Earl Crazy, and can't wait for the next Anna Bradley book!
When Scandalous met Scandalous...
Kit and Tilly are both no strangers to scandal. Kit is a debauched rake (so gross, they are teeming with disease in this era). Tilly has men fallign at her feet. She is intent on protecting her friend Harriet from Kit's plans to wed her. These two are definitely a match of like/same/not opposites and that was kinda of a fun premise.
I really enjoyed Kit and Mathilda's story! It was so much fun watching these two find their way to one another. I just loved all the bantering between them!
This was a perfectly fine historical romance. I thought there was a good amount of humor in the book which helped make it very easy to read. Overall a good book to read on my commute.
This is book four of the Games Earl's Play series. I haven't read the first three and had zero problems following this one, so it can definitely be read as a stand-alone.
Mathilda and Kit were absolutely perfect together and had a memorable meet cute. The book got off to a great start and pulled me in right away. Their chemistry was amazing from the very beginning,
Earl Crazy was a super quick fun read that was delightfully charming all the way through. I only wish it could have been longer.
I look forward to reading more to come in this series and can't wait to read the previous books.
Thank you, Netgalley, and the publisher for allowing me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Known as London’s most scandalous rake, Kit returns to town the new Earl of Prestwick after mourning his cousin’s untimely demise. A curse destined to take him down next, unless he can mend his ways and atone for the Prestwick’s notorious reputation. Having a long-standing agreement with an old friend, he’s ready to be honourable and claim his bride. But then another lady comes to his aide - a little spitfire, unafraid and frank - and unlike all the others, she stirs his soul…
Youngest of five sisters said to have supernatural powers for bewitching the ton’s most eligible noblemen, Tilly has two goals in mind for her own season: see her dearest friend make the match of her dreams and not cause a scandal herself. Wandering into her host’s neighbour’s house at night alone, probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do… then again, he was unconscious when she found him. But then he kissed her. Now said man has set his cap at her best friend and that’s just not going to happen. Not if it’s up to her!
📚 Being the fourth book in this series, it was my first and maybe I missed a few details, but I would nonetheless consider this perfectly readable as a standalone. The witty, sharp and playful back-and-forth between these frenemies to lovers was a joy! Peeling back the layers of both their scandalous pasts - or were they more misguided? - was captivating. Light, lovely and thoroughly enjoyable with just a dash of steam, this is a compelling tale with loyalty and friendship at the centre, even if it sometimes comes from the most unexpected corner. Predictable? Yes, but not without a few bumps and bruises (literally) along the way to happily ever after, and ever so entertaining!
Christopher Egan, heir to the Prestwick Earldom, is one of London’s most scandalous rakes. He’s determined to cheat the curse on the earldom once he inherits the earldom after his infamous uncle’s untimely demise. Mathilda Templeton has a knack for causing scandal. London is the last place such a provocative lady should dare set foot, but when her shy friend Harriett is sent to London for a season, Tilly is determined to protect Harriett from all fortune hunters after her impressive dowry. When the scandalous Earl of Prestwick makes a play for Harriett’s hand, Tilly vows to do whatever she must to stop him.
The fourth book in the series & sees the youngest Templeton sister finding love. A well written delightful romance, I loved Tilly & grew to love Kit. The chemistry between them sizzles & I loved how their relationship changed & deepened. Throw in a delightful dog & I was one happy reader. The pages flew by & I read it in a sitting, finishing it in the early hours
My review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Kit and Tilly were imperfect heroes but perfect for each other. This was a fun book with lots going on that kept it interesting. I enjoyed reading this book.
Earl Crazy is book four in the Games Earl Play series which follow the Templeton sisters. Mathilda, Tilly, Templeton is the youngest Templeton and has only agreed to have a season in London to accompany her friend, Harriet. While Harriet has her eye on Lord Wyle before the season even begins but Tilly isn’t looking to marry, only to stay away from bringing scandal to her infamous family. When she accidentally meets next door neighbor, the Earl of Preswick, in the middle of the night she’ll have to secure his silence so a scandal doesn’t come of it. Christopher, Kit, Earl of Preswick is back in London after a year of mourning his uncles and the previous Earl’s death. Kit is convinced of the family curse and vows his only recourse is to marry. His sights are set on Harriet following a promise from her brother several years prior. However, after Kit unforgettably meets Tilly, he knows he can’t marry Harriet despite the agreement. It’ll have to be Tilly, but he’ll have to convince her first.
I’ve read the first two in this series but missed the third one and will have to go back to read that one; but this can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed this book and hope there will be a book five for a HEA for Phee.
The beginning was interesting and had me thinking this may be a love triangle plot but was glad when it became apparent early on that neither Harriet or Kit wanted each other. I loved the originality of this book and how the hero fell first. It was a cute book that had an interesting first meeting between the MC before it fell into the routine of a London season. I won’t say it was slow because I enjoyed the first three quarters but it really picked up and became exciting in the last quarter of the book.
Depending on how you look at it, there was one long encounter or two encounters with less than two pages between one another. Either way, it was extremely steamy and helped solidify the path forward for the couple.
Thanks to NetGalley and Oliver Heber Books for the advanced ecopy of this book. All opinions are my own.
This book is a super fun read. The title pokes fun at the series as a whole, given who the various Templeton sisters have married, and the banter between our couple du jour, Kit and Tilly, is actually amusing. This book works fine as a standalone, though I recommend the other books in the series, as the sisters' relationship is truly lovely.
Here, Tilly is determined to protect her friend as well as her own heart. Kit thinks he wants the same old staid ton match - then he meets Tilly. The duo have quick chemistry and seemingly a vested interest in thwarting the other. Watching them come together is super fun.
This book does not have a complex plot - I am still confused on what exactly happened with the alleged curse - but it is a light and engaging read. Anna Bradley is one of my favorites and this book shows her off well.
4 solid stars. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a complimentary ARC of this book. The opinions herein are my own.
As much as I enjoy this authors writing this book just didn’t work for me. A little too contrived to create chemistry that just didn’t all together work. The h came across a little immature for her age. Too many contrived sub plots that just didn’t fit.
