Under Your Spell by Laura Wood was delightful!
Clemmie and Theo's 'one night stand disaster' to forced proximity 'babysitting' to lovers was a fun journey. Her sister's were an added bonus - I loved their relationship. They had me laughing out loud numerous times!

Overall four stars
I would recommmend to anyone who likes a rockstar romance, forced proximity, and when their are strong family/sister bonds.

Thank you to Atria Books for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review 🫶 I actually really enjoyed this one! While there’s moments it fell flat, I think Clem and Theo’s relationship feels so cute and fated that it helped to pick the book back up when needed! If you grew up reading Harry Styles fan fiction in your bedroom this gave me a similar vibe, and you’ll for sure enjoy this one! The ending felt a bit too chaotic and rushed in my opinion and I wish the epilogue gave us a bit more info on their future but overall a fun and fairly quick celebrity romance read!

A young woman, born into notoriety and reluctant to engage with all the pratfalls and foibles that go along with it, As is the case, she finds herself immersed with fame when she falls for a famous musician, not knowing who he was. The stage is set, so to speak, and the evolution from fame-phobic to accepting was plausible and interesting.

I loved Under your Spell! The main character is Clementine whose father is a rock star. She has two sisters who are the same age with different moms. Their upbringing kept them close and they share a very strong bond. Clemmie recently was dumped by her boyfriend and lost her job, they "cast a spell" for love just like they used to do when they were younger. However, this time, will all their wishes come true?

I fell in love with the characters and the 3 sisters were all so likeable, different, and well developed. Clementine was a relatable character, despite me not knowing what it's like to have a rock star father or boyfriend. I loved her growth and self discovery and the fact that she was a FMC in her 30s. I quickly was pulled into the story and finished this book in 1 day!

What a delightful book! Clemmie meets Theo and sparks fly instantly. She’s down on her look and needs a spark more than anything. What begins as a ONS becomes a friendship and a real relationship when real identities and secrets are exposed.

This book was so much fun. I loved the set up and the relationship. The banter, the flirting, the story.

Highly recommend.

Thank you Atria and NetGalley for the ARC.

loved this romance and seeing the sisters all get their wish . Loved that they all figured out what they wanted to do in life and all found love. Loved seeing the moms and dad and that secrets came to light. Loved that she figured things out with the teddy and his music career.

This forced proximity, mistaken identity romance has the legs to carry you past the weirdest plot device where a world famous pop star is the pallbearer in a funeral and goes completely unrecognized by anyone in attendance, including the main character and several people he literally has known for years, and then spends the rest of the book dodging getting recognized by strangers in public. It makes no sense, but the slow burn sexual chemistry and the hilarious, charming side characters make up for that flaw. I always like when a romance creates a world around the love story, and this one certainly did. The three sisters felt so real, so relatable and so funny. The story of the mums joining forces to raise them is a unique and refreshing found family take. The daddy issues are raw and real and many will relate to being second fiddle as a child. Overall, this one was hard to put down and it mostly just left me wanting this to be a series with the next book being about sassy Serena and her love.

This book had the perfect blend of humor and romance! I spent a chilly afternoon flying through it because I just couldn’t put it down! The storyline was a bit far-fetched at times but the emotions were genuine and relatable. Thank you for the opportunity to read. I loved it and will recommend it to anyone looking for a great read.

The only spell I’m under, is whatever Laura Wood put in this book because I am completely obsessed! 😍

We first meet Clemmie, who is recently dumped by her boyfriend Len of four years-who also took her cat. #justicefortuna

So as you can see, Len is just no good and clearly the only way to manage a broken heart is obviously, to cast a spell.

This is where The Weird Sisters come in! Side note: I adore these sisters and am actively looking for an application to join their adorable coven.

Clemmie, Serena and Lil cast a spell called The Break Up Spell and it’s just adorable! Seriously. I was grinning ear to ear during the whole thing.

After the spell is cast, Clemmie doesn’t think much of it because surely, it won’t work. But what if maybe it did work 😱

Clemmie soon becomes the housekeeper at Granny Mac’s house. Which also happens to be a seculded summer home, high up on the Northumberland coast. Gorgeous back drop for falling in love, am I right?!

Oh wait, did I forgot to mention that Clemmie is also staying at this home with Edward, I mean, THEO. (You’ll understand when you read the book 🙃)

Theo and Clemmie stay together at Granny Mac’s home, for six weeks while Theo finishes his highly anticipated album. Shoot, did I also forget to mention that Theo also happens to be the biggest rock star on the planet?! *swoon* 🥰

Not only did Theo and Clemmie’s banter and love story have me smiling, giggling and kicking my feet at every turn of the page. But pair that with the added bonus of Clemmie’s sisters and this book is so easy to fall for-no spell needed!

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for an arc of this book. All opinions are my own.

It was giving Harry Styles... and I'm not really a fan of his.

HOWEVER, it was a cute story that was easy to get pulled into. There were plenty of laugh out loud moments, and I found myself wanting to read it. The relationship between the sisters was something I really enjoyed.

The slow burn wasn't too slow, and you can't go wrong with forced proximity.

I loved the mental health representation in the book, and I'm so glad it's becoming something that is more normal than it used to be.

I would recommend this book to my friends (especially those who are fans of Harry Styles)

4.5 stars!
This is a super cute romantic comedy featuring a Clementine, the daughter of a musician trying to find her way in life after many upheavals and Theo, a successful musician. Theo is such a nice and charming main male character who puts the needs of everyone else first. I also loved, loved, loved the relationship of Clem and her sisters in this book! The musician vibes in this novel were not over the top and added a really nice layer to the storyline. I would have been satisfied for the book to end at Part 2 but the remaining story was icing on the cake.

I appreciate the simplistic cover design featuring the title and the tip of the guitar only with its strings forming a heart…it is refreshing to have a rom-com without people depicted on the cover.

Oh, I’m obsessed! I can assure you this beauty will be a favorite for many romance readers this year!

This book gave me alllllll the Ashley Poston vibes and I LOVED every second of it 🤭 Laura Wood has crafted together such an entertaining, lighthearted, and laugh-out-loud rockstar rom-com with an ADORABLE cast of characters. From Clemmie’s relationship with her sisters to her & Theo, everything about this book was perfect! Theo and Clemmie are absolutely everything that I want in a romance and more - I mean, cmon, their banter!? Yes please! And while Theo and Clemmie are the stars of this one, her sisters, Serena and Lil, really added to this book. I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed it nearly as much without them! I have my fingers crossed for future books following Serena and Lil 👀🤞

Overall, without any spoilers, this was SUCH and enjoyable read! I am so glad I was given the opportunity to read and review an early copy thanks to publisher and NetGalley!

★ 4.0 stars

Before I get into why this book felt like a mug of tea on a summer evening looking out over a little beachy paradise, let me share with you the revelation I had about 30% of the way through:

I think this may be inspired by One Direction/ Harry Styles fanfiction.

Now hear me out! Theo Elliot is a popular solo artist after leaving the equally popular band “The Daze,” and he’s beloved by an audience of mostly girls in their teens to twenties. Pair that with a force proximity trope that starts out as mildly “enemies to lovers” (more like begrudged FMC to enchanted FMC), and this is the perfect recipe for a Harry Styles fanfic (like the ones Elliot says he has written about him).

I don’t mean that in a negative way; I mean that in a “this is evoking strange feelings of 2014-17 nostalgia” kind of way and to me it just made this book so much more fun.

I found the characters to be charming, especially the wholesome sisterly bond between Clementine, Lil, and Serena. Their relationship was strong and realistic, and their witchy traditions were so fun. I thought at first this would be a LEGIT witch book, but I think I’m happy it’s not.

I loved Clementine from the start– unlike some other FMCs in romance novels, she was quirky without being annoyingly so, and watching her overcome her past troubles and traumas to accept love and the chance at happiness was just as rewarding as watching the romance come to a HEA conclusion.

However, I do think the pacing of this book is off. Everything after the six-week cabin arc felt random and messy, like a third-act breakup without a real breakup. Plus, the “climax” at Lil’s birthday festival felt too cliche, like something out of a cheesy romance film, which was unfortunate since leading up to it every romantic aspect has been sweet but not overly so.

Overall, this was a delightful romcom. I sort of hope we get books now from Lil and Serena’s POVs regarding their own romances, since I just loved reading about their interactions. Definitely recommend this one!

This is a story of a woman is the daughter of an aging rock star who finds herself working for the hottest musician on the planet and is shocked when sparks start to fly—especially since she swore she’d never, ever date a celebrity! Such a good read!! If you like rockstar tropes, this is a good one to add to the TBR list!

this one wasn’t exactly my cup of tea, but I enjoyed the storyline and it had me swooning, laughing, tearing up a bit, and wanting to be the FMC 😍
