Laughing All the Way offers a cute, feel-good Christmas romance, a Hallmark movie in book form. The premise—an influencer and a small-town mayor clashing over Christmas traditions—has plenty of potential, and the banter between Noelle and Colin is enjoyable. Noelle’s sharp wit and Colin’s holiday cheer create an entertaining dynamic, and the setting of Evergreen Creek is the perfect backdrop for a cozy holiday read. Noelle get a bit annoying with her snark.
However, while the romance is sweet, the story doesn’t offer much in terms of depth. Noelle’s transformation from a snarky influencer to a softened lover of Christmas feels a bit rushed, and some of the plot points are predictable. Still, if you’re looking for a light, holiday-themed romcom with a bit of holiday magic and plenty of laughs, Laughing All the Way delivers just that. It’s charming but doesn’t go beyond the typical formula.

Well, this is basically a Hallmark Christmas movie in book form. It's perfect if you’re in the mood for something light and sweet. The small town of Evergreen Creek is adorable, and Colin, the small-town mayor, is the perfect swoony Hallmark male lead. He’s all about his town’s Christmas spirit, and the banter with Noelle is cute at first.
Noelle is a social media influencer, and her whole job is creating content with sassy remarks to keep her followers engaged. She’s sent to Evergreen Creek to report on their Christmas festival in hopes of boosting her social media presence and saving her job. So, I thought she’d be a lot more sharp-tongued and snarky, but instead, she ended up being mostly pleasant throughout the book. It didn’t really match the “Grinch” persona that was being built up.
The romance moves super fast—like, love at first sight fast—which is fine for a novella, but it felt a bit rushed. What really frustrated me, though, was Noelle’s reaction to her assistant causing a mess and ruining her relationship with Colin. Instead of getting upset or doing anything to fix it, she just shrugs and walks away. I wish she would have handled it better because it was not okay what her assistant did.
The whole thing felt like it had a lot of potential, but it kind of fell short. It’s a sweet, cheesy holiday rom-com, so if that’s your thing, you’ll enjoy it. But if you're looking for more depth or real character growth, you might be a little disappointed. It’s cute, but not quite as fun as I hoped it would be.

This was a cute holiday read. It is your very typical “hallmark Christmas movie” plot line, which I love, so it worked for me. Nice easy read during the holiday season. It did take me a long time to get through, probably because it wasn’t unique or fresh, and we knew where the story was going. Not overly cheesy which was nice.

Noelle and Colin's relationship progressed very naturally, and their banter was really cute. The plot itself was light yet heartwarming. This is a typical holiday romance book, but I still enjoyed seeing how the town came together. I did expect a little more development on the romance aspect of Noelle and Colin's relationship though. Their chemistry could have been explored more. The conflict at the end was a little silly but it wasn't anything I didn't expect. I also think this book could have benefitted with adding another 50 pages or so just to develop the characters more, but maybe that's just because I really loved seeing them and wanted to see them a little longer! I do enjoy cute stories that are short enough to enjoy in one sitting.

This is a fun holiday romance that feels like you're reading (rather than watching) a Hallmark Movie. I struggled to keep reading in some parts, but I'm glad I did. Maybe I'll try to re-read it during the holiday this year.

It was a fun Christmas romcom. If you’re looking for something to pass the time and get you in the Christmas spirit this would do the trick.

This was a fun book but flawed book, and I appreciated the opportunity to read it! It wasn't bad, but it wasn't for me.

I really tried with this book. I think I just prefer my Hallmark-esque stories as actual Hallmark movies. I ended up DNFing about 40 pages in.

I enjoyed this enemies to lover's Christmas rom com. In which the hero has to pull off the biggest Christmas for his first year as the youngest mayor. The Heroine is trying to see it fail. And of course the banter was on fire. This is the perfect rom com to add to your Christmas reading list.

A delightful, grumpy sunshine romance that gives all of the Grinch vibes!
I am a sucker for a Hallmark-like holiday romance and this one I LOVED.
I binged it so fast even though the writing style itself was not my favorite.

I unfortunately didn't jive with the writing or characters and ended up DNFing this book about 40% in, and because of that I do not feel it's fair to post a proper review. I will refrain from rating it on goodreads.
Thank you for the opportunity to read your book!

Overall, I knew going into this book, it was going to be cliche to say the least and otherwise it was a super cute story! I was just not entirely impressed by the writing style and I was not completely hooked

I was pleasantly surprised with Laughing All The Way because it was much better than previous books but didn't land in my top 10.
It's cute, but I think I struggle with Mia Summers' writing style because no matter how many times I try to make myself love it, I just don't.

I loved this holiday romance. It could definitely be a hallmark movie. The banter was so good and I couldn't get enough of it. It was absolutely a great holiday romance to get caught up in.
I just reviewed Laughing All The Way by Mia Summers. #LaughingAllTheWay #NetGalley

Noelle and Collin just make me smile without thinking throughout the storyline. Sweet romcom using the more modern topic of influencers. Felt like the super sweet Christmas movies one or two networks make in batches each year. Nothing overly new or exceptional in quality, but just kept me interested the whole way.

If you enjoy a good Hallmark Christmas movie, then Laughing All The Way is the book for you. A big city online influencer finds love in a small town in this predictable, easy read. Not a lot of spice as far as the romance goes, but enjoyable nonetheless.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Thank you to NetGalley for this chance. i would suggest this book to anyone wanting a holiday book. i thought it was fun and easy to read. Gave off The Grinch vibes and a all around good Christmas book. It felt heartwarming. A romance version involving the Grinch. I would have enjoyed more of Colin and Noelle maybe 6 more chapters atleast. I felt there was more room to add on more.

This is your typical Christmas romance with the perfect festive town, the perfect Christmas lover and the Grinch. I liked Colin, the male protagonist, even though his overly Christmas cheer was a little too much at times but Noelle’s character was annoying as hell. I rolled my eyes many times, and even though she had slow character development that was supposed to make the reader warm up to her, I wasn’t swayed. This book gave me a Hallmark movie feel which I’m not a fan of and while I love a good grumpy and sunshine trope, this book didn’t live up to it. You might like this book if you’re looking for a cosy romance but if you’re looking for some good old sexual tension, this might be a good choice.

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.

It had been a long time since I sat down and read a book on my Kindle (and only did it because there was no audiobook), but I will forever be enchanted with my experience reading Laughing All The Way by Mia Summers. It just so happened to be snowing the day I decided to read this, so I decided to throw on some instrumental Christmas music, light a couple of candles, and enjoy this Christmas-themed read in March. That is really the best way to enjoy this book, and if you are a Hallmark movie lover like me, this will be right up your alley. Noelle is full of sass and snark while Colin is an adorably young mayor of the most Christmasy town she has ever seen. The plot is the epitome of a Hallmark Christmas movie and that is most likely part of the reason I loved it so dang much.
This is a closed-door romance so the bit we do get isn't spicy, and that is just the way I like it. I grabbed Laughing All The Way because I loved the synopsis, and I am really disappointed that I haven't really seen it on Bookstagram. Honestly, I don't think I have seen this AUTHOR on there much either, and I want to be the person to change that starting immediately. Summers has 3 other books out right now and they have all been added to my TBR, no audiobooks be damned. I loved her writing, and she kept me laughing all the way through this novel (no pun intended). If you are a reader who loves Hallmark (or Lifetime!), banter, and all things Christmas, I highly recommend this grumpy (Noelle)/sunshine (Colin) delight.
