I'm giving Laughing All The Way 3.5 stars! It was super sweet and easy to read, and was definitely a cozy Christmas read. I really liked the flirtations between the main characters, but it felt their relationship happened a little bit too fast. It goes from only small interactions to "I love you" pretty fast, which I am not huge fan of.
It's also pretty short, though, so I guess I can understand why things happen a little quickly. Noelle and Colin were fun to read about and engaging enough. Overall a pretty good experience.
This was such a cute and sweet small town, holiday romance. I liked the tension between Noelle and Colin that turned to such a pure love. The grand gesture was adorable! I’m not crazy about 3rd person POV, but that was my only gripe. So cute!
A short, fast paced Christmassy rom com to get you in the Christmas spirit.
I found this book to be cosy and sweet with a lot of cute moments. Some cringey parts and some parts felt rushed but overall a nice easy read to get you into the Christmas season!
Laughing all the way wasn't bad, but I felt it was very choppy.
The development of the romance between the characters didn't happen organically - it jumped from 'they barely know each other' to 'I love him/her' without any real defining moments to get them there, just a lot of the same over and over.
I acknowledge this is very difficult to navigate in a closed door romance, which is why I gave 3 stars.
I love a good Christmas novel with all of the tropes and touches; Laughing All The Way falls just short of hitting the mark. It is still enjoyable.
This was a sweet Christmas romcom! I enjoyed the banter and the general tension the characters had. It had a hallmark movie feel, in a good way! It was a closed door romance with definite sexual tension! The characters were fun, it was a well paced book and an easy read!
I could so vividly see this playing out as a Hallmark Christmas movie the entire time I was reading. I thought the story was very cute and I was rooting for Noelle and Colin throughout the book. I did however feel the story was dragged out a bit too long and then felt rushed in wrapping it up. 3.5 ⭐️
Laughing all the way is a short, fast paced book. It’s the first I’ve read from Mia Summers. Noelle comes to Evergreen Creek to document their christmas festival. She’s the Grinch and is convinced that she’ll hate the city that is all about the festive season, but she meets Colin who loves christmas and shows her what’s it all about.
The story resembles a Hallmark movie, but it’s not as cringey as your tipical christmas story. However it is a bit predictable at times and the girl’s name is a bit clicheic. Though it is a cute christmas romance story. It felt rushed at times, especially at the end. Overall a good book to enjoy around the holidays and make you feel the christmas spirit.
This was a short, cute Christmas romcom. I kind of wish it was a little longer to really have more time with the characters falling in love. This is a slow burn and closed door. Its like a Hallmark movie and a Grinch retelling rolled into a sweet novel. If you are looking for a quick romcom for Christmas, this is a good one.
3.5 Stars. Thank you to NetGalley and Sterling & Stone for giving me the opportunity to read this book before being published!
This was such a cute holiday rom-com. Noelle, a snarky grinch & Colin, who has a deep and meaningful love for Christmas come together to help a town in need.
I loved the fact the female role was the grinch, however, I wish the chemistry could have been expressed more throughout the book. Some of it seemed as if it was rushed but all around a sweet holiday book that helps you get in the spirit of the holidays!
Now that thanksgiving is over I needed a rom-com hallmark style read to cozy up by the Christmas tree with a warm cup of coffee.
This book follows the story of Noelle, a social media influencer and Colin, mayor of Christmas town USA. Because of Noelle’s past she has a distaste for Christmas and Colin and his small town charm helps her rediscover a part of herself that she didn’t know existed.
Colin’s character was well written and has you rooting for him however I felt like Noelle’s character lacked. I never really felt like I was emotionally invested in her happiness.
Overall, it was a good read to kick off the holiday season.
Loved tha Noelle was the Grinch and Colin the sunshine. Cute story. Fun characters. Great holiday ready. Predictable and cheesy but still entertaining.
If you’re looking for a Hallmark movie in book form, this is it. This is a super easy and quick read full of every holiday tradition you can think of. It’s set in a small town (deemed Christmas Town USA) and follows main characters who are polar opposites, and even enemies at first, falling in love with each other and Christmas. It was witty and quirky without being cringey, and overall super cute. I really liked this authors writing style and think this would be a great addition to anyone’s winter tbr!
This is a cute little romance story. Noelle as the grumpy Grinch and Colin as the Christmas loving sunshine. The town in the story seems wonderful and full of Christmas spirit. However it felt a little rushed at times and I didn't quite feel the chemistry between the two main characters, almost as if it was a little forced. Thank you to netgalley for providing me with the copy for review.
Influencer Noelle has made a name for herself by her snarky comments that make fun of people. She is sent to a Christmas Town USA to stream a Christmas festival that is 5 days long. Colin, the towns mayor, does everything in his power to make the Christmas festival go perfectly. The Christmas festival funds the towns many needs.
This is a very sweet Christmas romcom. I loved that for once the girl was the grumpy grinch. It’s usually the other way around.
I love Summers Big Star, Small Town series so I was a little trigger happy when I seen another title written by this author.
Laughing All The Way by Mia Summers was the sweetest Christmas rom-com.
This book was so cute. The characters were well written and the plot moved along at a great pace.
I loved being in Evergreen Creek. The setting was well described and had me anting to pack up to head to this fictional town.
A cute story with fun banter, amazing feels, and that Christmas magic you crave.
Such a well-written, enjoyable and delightfully sweet read.
You’ll love this charming and entertaining romance story.
I would like to thank NetGalley and Sterling & Stone for the opportunity to read this ahead of its publication date in return for my honest review.
A fun light hearted story of a woman that finds her way with some help from a small town she never thought she could imagine herself liking. Couldn’t put it down.
This festive tale weaves a delightful web of holiday chaos as Noelle, the witty influencer, collides with the challenge of orchestrating the perfect Christmas. The clash between her comedic charm and the pursuit of Yuletide perfection creates a captivating storyline. As Noelle aims to regain her online glory, the unexpected twists under the mistletoe add a heartwarming touch. A four-star read that balances humor and holiday spirit with finesse.
This is the third book I've read by Mia Summers, but I have to say that "Laughing All the Way," while a bit formulaic, actually wasn't that bad. An internet influencer, Noelle, goes to Christmas Town USA to cover it for her reporting gig (granted, I'm a bit confused how an influencer has assigned reporting duties, but ...). While Noelle usually is full of snark and eye rolls, she manages to find a spark - and joy - of Christmas - partially in part thanks to the town's mayor, Colin. Noelle goes up expecting everything to be over the top - and in some cases it is - but it's also obvious that this town and its people really enjoy the holiday and all it means. Yes, the plot's predictable and there weren't any surprises ... and at times its a bit too Hallmark movie like (but that's an idea, make this into a Hallmark movie!), but for a fast Christmas romance read, it was good and what I needed to get me out of a reading funk. Probably somewhere between 3.5 and 3.75 stars, but it was a solidly enjoyable book.
