Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.
One of my favorite parts of the Christmas season is the selection of constantly running Hallmark movies and a book that offers that same kind of cozy feeling brings additional holiday joy.
I'm not always the greatest fan of a grumpy x sunshine trope, but the not so subtle homage to The Grinch was fun and endearing. The additional similarities to the film White Christmas, you know big city celebrity comes into town, slowly falls in love with the people and the surroundings and helps to save them from financial struggles for years to come, were heartwarming and delightful.
If you're looking for a quick, cute, cozy Christmas read that's full of heart, this should be just what Santa ordered.
Colin is the Greenest flag possible 🥰❤️✨
Noelle is the best he could get 💝
This story is a warm comforting and fun romance novel which I enjoyed every bit of it.🤩 This small town, closed door, fluffy romance is like the hot chocolate for your winter days 😘 Although I thought the story was rushed at few points and it could have been explored more. Anyways Noelle and Colin are my new favourites and this is a wholesome read with all the christmas vibes you need😍💝
honestly, this wasn’t my favorite. i was more invested in geoff and gretchen. noelle kind of just annoyed me so badly for most of it. i also didn’t like the third act breakup. the writing itself was good so i’ll be reading more from the author for sure!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you, NetGalley, Mia Summers for this ARC.
This was a very, very clean book. If you want firey spicy hot scenes, this isn't the book for you. I actually enjoyed it. I enjoyed that the FMC (Noelle)was the grumpy one instead of the MMC (Colin). It was a very quick read as well, which made the story feel rushed at times. It is a shame as I think that the author could have done much more to bring more depth into the story and rounding up the end a bit calmer. The Christmas spirit was there and I loved the cozy feeling it gave me. If you love Hallmark movies…this is for you!! There was chemistry between the characters which I enjoyed. I definitely loved the world-building and the author did an Amazing job. I love, love, love Christmas so I truly enjoyed the scene settings. There were some plot holes and issues that didn't make sense or should have been answered/fixed at the end (which could have been done if the book was a bit longer). Overall this was a lighthearted book, with a cozy Christmas feeling.
Evergreen Creek is all Christmas Spirit with the Christmas Festival being the highlight of every year. So when YouTube sensation Noelle comes to town to mock the celebrations she's introduced to Colin, the youngest mayor in the town's history. He's dedicated to his job, and the holiday. But for Noelle, Christmas hadn't been the same since she was a little girl. She keeps her reasons bottled up, until Colin and the holiday help her open up.
This was a super quick, super Christmassy read.

3.5 stars!
This book read exactly like a hallmark movie and honestly, I'm here for it. Noelle and Colin's relationship progressed very naturally and their banter was really cute. The plot itself was light yet heartwarming, although there were some parts that felt rushed because of the writing style. This story is a typical holiday romance book but I still enjoyed seeing how the town came together. I did expect a little more development on the romance aspect of Noelle and Colin's relationship though. Their chemistry could have been explored more. There were definitely some cute moments between them but it was pretty surface level. The conflict at the end was a little silly but it wasn't anything I didn't expect. I also think this book could have benefitted with adding another 100 pages or so just to develop the town and characters more. Overall, this was a quick and simple holiday story that I would recommend if you're looking for something light.
Battle of Mrs Scrooge vs Mr Christmas during the holiday season. Easy read that I recommend for a weekend getaway.
Negative media and constant sarcasm towards the holiday spirit can ruin the towns large festival. I enjoyed how the characters slowly unraveled to celebrate Christmas and see if their jobs can overcome the obstacles. What brings more social media attention, being naughty or nice?
3 1/2 stars
This is the second Mia Summers book I've read. While I enjoyed the other more, this was a cute holiday romance. The relationship between Noelle and Colin was adorably cute. Reverse Grumpy/Sunshine is always a fun trope for me and with it being a Christmas book, it turned it into a Grinch/Sunshine book which was really extra fun.
Only thing I don't think I connected with on this as much as Mia's other novel was this just felt a little too rushed. Noelle went from all things grumpy/anti-Christmas to secretly loving it to openly loving it really, really quick. I had a feeling it was going to be a little rushed since it's under 200 pages, but maybe it's the whole Christmas novel thing where you expect to see a fully formed Hallmark story which is hard to have in under 200 pages.
I still feel the book is very much worth the read if you're in the market for a quick, fun, swoony Cinnamon Roll MMC, Reverse Grumpy/Sunshine story. It'll for sure put you in the mood for Christmas and you'll fall in love with the town and the cast of side characters for sure.
Thanks NetGalley and Sterling & Stone for an Advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
I really loved the premise of this book. I’m in love with an opposites attract romance. Grumpy and sunshine characters? It’s my fav! I think the idea was really strong. I also enjoyed the influencer aspect to the book, despite not being sure about it when starting.
Unfortunately, I didn’t fall in love with Noelle and Colin like I’d hoped I would. Their relationship felt both distant and rushed to me. I feel like we didn’t get to see them truly pine for one another. There was a lot of telling how they were feeling, versus showing through their actions.
I also found the issues with Noelle’s snarkiness to be almost ridiculous. They treated this girl like she was a bully, when she was just being sassy. She didn’t say anything remotely mean. The idea that having a dry sense of humor makes you into a bad person just didn’t resonate with me. It just made me frustrated when the characters got into fights over it.
While I really wanted to enjoy this book, I don’t think the characters or writing style were for me.
Noelle, despite her name, does NOT enjoy Christmas. Alright, that's kind of an understatement; Noelle HATES Christmas. Colin on the other hand, loves Christmas, but since he's been so busy this year that he's basically forgotten the meaning, he NEEDS to pull off the best Christmas that Evergreen has ever seen... Noelle is sent to report, and when the two meet, who will cave?
The writing was quite well done with lots of great descriptions and it was easy to read, HOWEVER...
I really struggled to like Noelle's character. I really love the idea of a grumpy/sunshine where the grump is the leading lady, but honestly I just found her unlikeable. She compared her assistant to a dog because she was eager to please someone she looked up to (Her), judged a small town because of it's nickname and actively went on an assignment with the idea of just insulting and tearing it apart just because SHE doesn't like Christmas... She's just one of those people who hates Christmas and makes it a problem for everyone else.
Colin was a sweetheart though and I love when the leading men are the sunshine. I really loved the Hallmark references and by the end of the book even the romance was good when Noelle actually got over herself.
Overall, I found the writing really good and the premise really lovable, despite the FMC being unlikeable.
★ . . clean small-town christmas rom-com
★ . . strangers to lovers
★ . . grumpy x sunshine
★ . . influencer x mayor of a small town
a true hallmark christmas movie in book form what's not to love?
of course, it was a bit cringy - that's the whole point - but it was also very sweet and quick to read. the christmas vibe is very clear to see and feel, while reading I was imagining all the places they went and had a truly great time!
if you're looking for a quick, christmas read for a cold evening this one will surely do the job! 🎄
This book felt like a hallmark movie!! I really enjoyed the setting and side characters, but wish there had been a little more spark for the main characters ending up together. I also wish the main characters had felt a little more built out and less stereotypical, but that’s to be expected with a hallmark style book. While this was not for me, I’m sure many other readers will enjoy

I am not a fan of third person narration especially for hallmark Christmas romance.
The storyline of laughing all the way was promising. Noelle (of course) is a grumpy influencer sent to cover the Christmas festival of a small town. She meet the hot Mayer, she hate Christmas, he loves it. You get it. For a Christmas romance the scenario was there, but the overall was a bit plain : she was not grumpy enough, he was not enough sunshine, there were little to no drama and no spice at all.
I am not a fan of third person narration especially for hallmark Christmas romance, so overall 2⭐️ 🎄🎁
From the beginning, Noelle is fun, snarky, and loves to hit 'below the belt' to get laughs from her fans. However, with her job on the line, she accepts an assignment that takes her completely out of her comfort zone, as a known Grinch, traveling to a place known as 'Christmas Town' to cover a story of the towns week long Christmas festival. Little did she know, Christmas Town and the handsome mayor are exactly what she needs in her life.
This story was fun and lighthearted, pulling on the heartstrings in random places with both Noelle and Colin, the mayor, and we get to enjoy watching them join together to unknowingly heal their broken hearts together.
For a quick, fun read that gives you those warm and fuzzy feelings, this is the perfect read!
Thank you to NetGalley, as well as the publisher and author for the opportunity to read the arc in return for an honest review. It was thoroughly enjoyable!
A cute Christmas romance!
This was a closed door romance featuring a grinch FMC and a Christmas-loving MMC. The development of both was evident and the romance was clear throughout. It’s a shorter book so a pretty quick read.
Thank you NetGalley for my copy.

I saw this on NetGalley and had to snap it up. This book is a Hallmark movie on a page. A grumpy female character goes to a quaint upstate New York town who is pushing for a Christmas Festival so they can repair the local High School. The setup is great, both characters want completely different things and it works well! I had a good number of laughs and chuckles through this book. It's got all the quintessential holiday festivities and talking about family and friends during the holidays.
As I went through the book I did feel like some of Noelle's comedy didn't make sense. Same with her 'network' when she's a Youtuber. I feel like it needed a bit more consistency, explaining how her channel worked and why her content was out of her control. It was easy enough to ignore though since this is a fun fluffy romance.
There is no spice in this book if that's a turn-off for you, or is a heads-up if you're looking for a spicy book. I was able to read this in a few hours with a large mug of hot chocolate.
Going into the story, I believed the small town depicted in the story was unrealistically happy and immersed in Christmas cheer – almost as if they were brainwashed. However, as the narrative unfolded, I discovered a deeper meaning beyond the surface. It's not just a cute little holiday romance with the classic grumpy/sunshine trope; it prompts reflection on life's true priorities in AND beyond the Christmas season.
The female main character undergoes a commendable character development, shedding her sarcastic facade as a protective measure. Instead, she opens up to those she cares and starts to care about. The romance element strikes the right balance for Christmas, with a delightful mix of over-the-top cheesiness and cliché moments, like the scene where their fingers brushed in the popcorn bucket.
The story employs a third-person selective narrator, alternating between the perspectives of the male main character, Colin, and the female main character, Noelle. However, around 70% into the book, the sudden shift toward Gretchen, Noelle's assistant, felt somewhat abrupt and a tad distracting.
In summary, despite this narrative shift, the book provided an enjoyable and quick read, offering more depth than expected.
Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.
My final rating is 3.5 stars.
I loved the grumpy x sunshine trope here. the overall feel of the story was cozy and wholesome. I really adored the MMC & his love for his town (and christmas!) There were so many references throughout the book of it feeling like a Hallmark Christmas movie and that's 100% what I felt like I was reading. I did struggle a bit with some of the dialogue but overal I would absolutely recommend this to someone looking for a quick & cozy holiday read!
Laughing all the way is the perfect Christmas romcom! It's a quick, cute read that puts you right in the holiday spirit! This is a clean romance-no sex and not really even any kissing, so if you are looking for spice, this isn't the book for you. The characters are likable, the setting is a cute small town where everyone knows each other, and there's a great lesson about not burying yourself in work. I would defintiely recommend to a friend! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy on an ARC in exchange for my honest review!
I enjoyed This book for what it is, a silly almost hallmark Christmas tale. Noelle, the main character was pretty unbearable to me throughout however. It was cute and the ending was good but overall not the best Christmas book I’ve read. Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
