Alexandria Bellefleur continues to be one of my favorite romance authors! This story had the perfect balance of humor and heart, and I was cheering on the main couple the whole way through.
I’m so sad I didn’t love this. I feel like Alexandria’s books have just been getting better and better as each one goes and I felt so… bleh after this one. It didn’t flow well IMO and at the end, I was left wondering what exactly happened and what the plot was.
The cover is so awful and a detraction from other Alexandria Bellefleur books (specifically the Written in the Stars series) that I skipped right over it and assumed it was a self-published book and not one from a major publishing house. It's a cute read, but the FMC's adolescent behaviors were a major detraction.
This is my favorite Alexandria Bellefleur novel yet! The characters are witty and charming, then messy and desperate by turns. They antagonize each other with one breath and flirt shamelessly with the next, all while actually caring for each other despite themselves. This is antagonists to lovers at its best and is the bisexual disaster romance novel of my dreams.
Whew! This one is steamy with a capital S! I'll be honest, this one sat in my pile for a while but I was kicking myself for not picking it up sooner once I finally read it. Such an underestimated storyline. Loved it!

Thank you NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for this ARC. Apologies for taking so long to read and review.
I enjoyed the hell out of this story. So fun. So dirty. Delightful.
This was a really sweet book and there was great chemistry throughout. I would definitely read more from Bellefleur in the future.
I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.
I received this book for free for an honest review from netgalley. Thank you for the opportunity.
Sweet but predictable
Truly, Madly, Deeply was my first novel by Alexandria Bellefleur and it won't be my last. I really loved both of the main characters. I also loved that one was a novelist and one was a divorce attorney - the perfect set up for an opposites attract romance. I felt like the two had really great chemistry. This book also has positive representation of bisexuality seen through both of the fmc and mmc. I definitely recommend picking this one up!
Thank you Netgalley, Avon, and Alexandria Bellefleur for the eARC.
Truly, Madly, Deeply is out now!
Thank you to @NetGalley and @avonbooks for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Truly, Madly, Deeply by Alexandria Bellefleur is a delightful and heartwarming romance that brings together a lovelorn romance novelist and a cynical divorce lawyer in a charming opposites-attract story. This novel is filled with witty banter, emotional depth, and a celebration of love in all its forms.
What I Loved:
Character Chemistry: The dynamic between Truly Livingston and Colin McCory is electric. Their initial clashes and gradual understanding of each other make for a compelling and engaging romance.
Humor and Heart: Bellefleur’s knack for blending humor with heartfelt moments shines through. The witty exchanges and genuine emotional beats create a well-rounded and enjoyable narrative.
Representation: The positive portrayal of bisexuality in both main characters is refreshing and adds depth to their relationship. Bellefleur handles this aspect with sensitivity and care.
Overall, Truly, Madly, Deeply is a charming and engaging romance that will leave you smiling. Alexandria Bellefleur delivers a story full of love, laughter, and emotional resonance, making it a perfect read for fans of contemporary romance.

This was a really great romance! I really liked Truly and Colin’s banter and dynamic, and I had a really great time reading this. While The Fiancée Farce is still my favourite from Alexandria Bellefleur, this is a close second! I’m excited to read whatever this author writes next! :)
Alexandria is the best of the best. I love when men beg. Down baaaad for Truly is the only way to be. No notes, an instant buy.

I picked up Truly, Madly, Deeply because I've loved other books by Bellefleur. The cover was so swoony, and the internet all agreed that the guy on the cover looked like Steve from Stranger Things. So really, it's on me for deciding the characters would be similar to the characters in the show for no other reason than they look like the cover characters. I absolutely would have been able to look past this and enjoy the book for what it was - except that I deeply disliked the male love interest. During their meet-disaster, he psychoanalyzes her based on his ideas of love and relationships from being a family lawyer and working a lot of divorce cases. I personally get the ick when men think they can tell women what they like/think/feel, and I really tried to get past it, but I just couldn't. I love when people explore these kinds of ideas in therapy.
There is absolutely an audience for Truly, Madly, Deeply, even if that audience isn't me. Readers who enjoy an assertive MMC, and are looking for more of that true enemies to lovers feel, will likely enjoy this book! Truly's character has a lot of room to learn trust herself, and find a partner who will respect and love her the way that she deserves!
At the end of the day, this one just wasn't for me. The quirks came off too strong for my taste, and I really struggled to empathize with Truly's main conflict. (which I totally assumed would be GETTING CHEATED ON BY HER FIANCE and not her parent's random break?) Her actions came across as immature to me, and I just couldn't see where she was coming from.
I think the conversation between the MCs about sexuality was the highlight of the book, and I did appreciate it.
I picked up this book after seeing a lot of people rave about it—it was hot! Colin was everything in this story—honestly, I’m still speechless and giddy thinking about him. He was so desperate and craving Truly, and so many moments had me putting the book down just to freak out (in the best way possible). While Colin was perfection, I wasn’t sold on the main character, Truly, or her family. Every time her parents appeared, I just wanted to skip those parts. I also felt like the story had the potential to dive deeper into some meaningful conversations, like their brief discussion about mutual bisexuality, but it wasn’t revisited. Overall, it had the makings of a fun, spicy romance, but it didn’t quite mesh for me. I might've enjoyed it more if I hadn’t gone in with high expectations, but it was still a fun, playful read with plenty of heat!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers.
This was a cute, quirky read. Definitely ones for Broadway fans! This probably ranked higher for me because that part was fun and super enjoyable, otherwise it was good but Truly was a little difficult to identify with.
This story was absolutely adorable! The way Alexandria tells a story!!! LOVE Colin! Read this in one sitting!
Truly Livingston, a bestselling romance novelist, has made a career out of love stories, but when her own love life falls apart, she’s left questioning everything. To add to the chaos, she’s agreed to cohost a dating advice podcast with Colin McCory, a cynical (yet undeniably attractive) divorce lawyer who has sworn off relationships. Their heated arguments quickly turn into something more, as the two discover they have more in common than they thought.
Colin is sweet and charming, but maybe a little too perfect to feel fully real. Truly, on the other hand, acted somewhat spoiled at times. However, the chemistry between them felt genuine and kept me engaged. While Truly Madly Deeply wasn’t my favorite by Alexandria Bellefleur, I still enjoyed it. I especially loved the Broadway and musical references scattered throughout the story, which added a fun touch for any theater fan like me!
This is my fifth book by Bellefleur, and I truly enjoy her Seattle settings. While this one didn’t top my list, I'll definitely be looking forward to her next book.
