Truly, Madly, Deeply follows Truly, a romance writer whose life begins to fall apart after finding her fiance Justin cheating on her with another girl, and Colin, a family attorney who has a very real-world take on love. The two meet after agreeing to guest star on Colin’s sister's podcast and from there, things heat up in both their professional and personal lives.

This book was a very quick read that I found hard to put down once I began reading. I found myself laughing with the characters and falling in love just as fast as everyone else. All the characters were easily likable and the writing made for a fun read that I will absolutely be recommending to friends and family.

Thank you NetGalley for the early copy of this book! I absolutely adored Truly, Madly, Deeply. The representation with both of our main characters was flawless, and I loved how readable it was — I found myself not wanting to put it down! It was funny, romantic, and the chemistry between the characters was jumping off of the page. I found myself relating to our main character so much as well. I’ve never read another book by this author, but I will definitely be reading whatever she releases next. Super excited to see what else she writes!

Okay, the WAY I LOVED THIS! 👏🏼 Colin is a bisexual ZADDY. Truly and Colin were perfect in this book. It was sexy and romantic and sweet and I just loved it. There wasn’t really a third act breakup and I liked that. It was wrapped up nicely with a sweet little epilogue. I also really loved Truly’s best friend Lulu. She needs her own book. 😆

The banter was my favorite part of this book... so good! The bisexual rep was fantastic. Lots of laughing and swooning throughout on my end. I really enjoyed this overall and would read more by Alexandria!

Truly, Madly, Deeply was a fun read! I have never read anything by Bellefleur and "truly" enjoyed my first book by her. It is a fast-paced, swoony romance, with fantastic bisexual representation!

Thank you netgalley & avon and harper voyagers publishing to allow me to read this book!

Truly is a romance writer with gaining her inspiration of romance from her parents- who are in the theater career and met on set well before truly was born. Truly is engaged, in a good career spot, everything’s good… or so she thought. is she just seeing everything from rose colored glasses, “writing” the life she wanted to see?

Lo and behold, her and her fiance, justin, break up and dropped a bomb that her parents are taking a break after 33 years of marriage. She’s at a loss- her whole life is upturned and she can’t write.

in comes Colin. Heart stopper family attorney who she DESPISES. Until you know, she doesn’t and things realllyyyy pick up the pace if you know what i mean 🌶️ 🌶️ Colin is all bout Truly and nothing can change his mind. There’s no third act breakup which i LOVE. He communicates & listens to her even when she’s second guessing herself and trying to push him away. isn’t that what we all want and crave??

This was such a great quick read!!

The banter .... THE. BANTER. This was god-tier level banter, and I just sat there eating it up like hot buttery popcorn at the movie theater! Reading this book was a full-body experience, with squealing, head-tossed-back laughing, deep sighs, and literal swooning. This was my first Alexandria Bellefleur book, and now I'm going to go back and read the rest because WOW have I been missing out.

Bonus points for Truly's parents, who were sweet and hilarious.

I absolutely loved this book! I really loved the conversations the book delved into surrounding both relationships and queerness along with the story itself. I read this entire book in a day I was so caught up in it! I enjoyed watching the main character grow and learn more about herself and the ones she loves in the process. While I loved the story and the conversations, I did feel that there was a part of the story that was added in and then forgotten until we got to the end and then the pace sped up. Having said this, I still really enjoyed this book and the romance story. I felt like it was a great blend of spice tension and storyline that makes it a quick and wonderful read! My overall rating for this book is a 4 out of 5 stars!

My primary reason for reading this was clearly Steve from Stranger Things being on the cover. He is absolutely who I pictured the entire time. Secondly, the book was good and moved quickly, but the romance a little sappy and the main female character a little grating in my opinion. Also I was very distracted by the term “mole splattered skin,” which was used several times. Did they mean freckles? Who could know. I was definitely entertained by the story, and I loved the bi representation on both sides. And also Steve. (Actually named Colin, but I will never separate the two.) Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the e-arc.

Note this rating is more of a 3.75
Did this book have a plot? No. Did I still have a great time? Yes. The characters were so hot and their chemistry was amazing. Honestly this rating is more on vibes than anything else, as I found the Taylor Swift references and the millenial trying to act like gen z humor to be kind of annoying and kind of missing the mark for me, but I still had a great time all around since I read this in a span of less than 24 hours. Iconic.

Loved the chemistry between the two main characters. Also appreciated the lack of miscommunication tropes. Perfectly spicy and thoroughly enjoyable.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Avon Harper Voyager for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Alexandria Bellefleur knows just how much angst I need between my characters for a good 'enemies to lovers'. Colin was GONE gone for my girl Truly. Actually, Colin might be the perfect MMC I have ever read. I love him and I wanted to steal him for myself. Someone posted that this one was for all the disaster bisexuals and I love that because you definitely get multi-faceted characters.

Truly is a romance author (shoutout breaking the 4th wall) and Colin is a FAMILY attorney who occasionally does divorces. These two meet when Colin's sister invites them both to be on a podcast episode giving relationship advice. The only issue is that Truly just found her finance with another woman about 5 minutes before so she's already not in the best headspace. Side note- someone has to teach Truly how to just go ahead and cancel those plans when something life changing happens, a lot could have been avoided.

Any who- these two get off to a rough start although even after reading it I am confused about why. They were both ribbing on each other, and Colin was very clearly teasing but I guess he took it too far for Truly's mental state that day (again, girl go ahead and cancel those plans). After hunting her down to apologize and because he is madly in love with her, these two get to know each other and what do you know- sparks fly.

The start was a little rough for me since it seemed Truly just wanted to be mad at Colin for no good reason but once she stopped being annoying it all came together. The banter was great, the chemistry was out of control, and I just loved them together. Although, you would have a hard time not loving them together because Colin was so in the entire time.

I did have to speed read through this very odd bit where they had to quote musicals while in Truly's parent's house but it's not much of the book and while it is absolutely too much 'kookiness' for my liking, there will be someone out there who loves that corn. It just wasn't for me. The spice also hit a little late for me but the build up was fun so what the heck.

I will stay reading A. Bellefleur's hot queer romances.

What a perfect novel. I have read Bellefleur’s full backlist so this book was at the top of my most anticipated releases this year. I expected amazing, and I got astounding.

There are so many aspects that deserve to be mentioned in a review. The witty banter, the engaging humor, the scorching steam. The swoony romance. Colin and Truly’s annoyance to lovers relationship grows as they slowly let their guards down with a perfect pacing. I will recommend it until my last breath.

Target audience: contemporary romance, bisexual, queer m/f
Rating: 10/10
Heat level: 7.5/10

A swoony, spicy read that gave me so many laughs and a fun take on new and lasting love!

Sparks fly when a romance author and a divorce lawyer butt heads on a podcast and can't seem to get out of each other's heads afterwards...

I really enjoyed this one! It's a quick read with a lot of fun moments across the board but also gives a great love story for multiple characters.

- The Main Characters: I love Truly and Colin. Truly is kind of a mess but in a way that's relatable. She is the peak only child, nosy nelly that causes some of the cringiest moments, but overall she means well and I love that she knows who she is and tries to be better and learn from her mistakes. Colin is a great MMC in that his affection is so apparent, he's well adjusted, and he has his own life going on that doesn't get lost in Truly's mess. The bi-representation in both of them was spot on and their scene discussing in was such a great moment in literature, just wow.
- The Plot. I love the podcast meet cute. It's totally random and fun. And the subsequent accidental run ins (sex shop anyone?) made the plot move quickly and helped the romance grow and feel fresh every time they met. The side plot of Truly "Parent Trap"ing her parents was a touch too cringe for me, but overall, I found the plot and romance to be fun and endearing.
-The Side Characters. I LOVED the side characters in this book. Caite, the podcast's host and Colin's sister, made for a great side character. We get to know Colin more through her and she offers up a great perspective. Same with Truly's best friend, Lulu. Honestly, wish we got even more of these ladies as they slightly disappear about 2/3 into the book. Both Truly and Colin's parents also add depths and insight into them both and I'm glad we got to me them all.
- The Spice. I'll be thinking about Colin's confession to Truly moving forward forever no doubt. That man holds nothing back and I am obsessed. The spice was spicing and I enjoyed every scene. I'm glad Truly, who is a bit uptight, could enjoy herself in these scenes, because WHEW I know I did.

Overall, this was a fun cute read that isn't super deep but offers great characters and fun plot that you'll no doubt want to pick up over and over again. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for my electronic advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

4.5 stars - and the PERFECT rom com I needed. When I tell you this MAN the one and only Colin McCrory is the bisexual himbo of my dreams I mean every word. He's volunteer of the year, coaches little league, has a law degree, brings her her mom's chicken noodle soup when she's sick, puts up with her stubbornness, AND is wholly obsessed with her (Truly, our FMC) from the second he lays eyes on her.

There were times where I found myself irritated with Truly's stubbornness - she made a decision and then refused to budge. But then I realized oh... I'm Truly. That's me. That's why I'm so annoyed is because I'm looking in a mirror. HA. Once I came to terms with that it was much more understandable - she let her insecurities and fears get the better of her sometimes, and what's more human than that?

I need everyone to read this. It's toe-curling, it's sweet, it's passionate, it's real and raw, and also he has her boss him around during *you know what* and it's ICONIC. All around - bisexuals for the win. Two queer homies fighting biphobia and bi-erasure one bigot at a time. Oh, and the banter is beyond impeccable.

This is a 4,5 star read for me!! I loved this book so much.

This was such a good romance, I was enthralled from page one!! I had trouble putting it down and when I didn't read it, it was all I was thinking about! Alexandria Bellefleur's writing was brilliantly witty but emotional and I couldn't help but binge this book because it was so addicting and fun!

The bi representation was so lovely and refreshing, the banter between Truly and Colin was top tier, next level amazing!! I ate it up every single time, I could not get enough of their back and forth. They couldn't just take but they could give just equally well and I caught myself laughing out so many times!! Their tension was so good it gave me goosebumps and the spice?? Exquisite!

I liked getting to know Truly and Colin on a deeper level with their struggles which allowed me to really connect to the characters. Colin is persistent and supportive and he deserves the world. I loved how he stuck with Truly helping her heal from past traumas.

A great reluctant friends to lovers, with amazing banter, tension and top tier spice!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins for the ARC.

Alright look. This started off being my favorite Alexandria Bellefleur book ever. The first quarter was witty, playful, engaging and spicy. I couldn’t get enough! The characters are all lovable and we root for them. BUT THEN we came to the parent trap portion, and Truly became the most insufferable b**** to walk planet earth. Other peoples wants and needs didn’t matter as long as she got what she wanted. The only time someone’s desires were taken into consideration was if they were in line with her agenda. She needed to learn that the world may not be perfect, but it can still be good regardless. BUT SHE NEVER LEARNS. I wish Lulu and Caitlin made more of an appearance.

Anyway, the spicy scenes are SPICY and so good. Colin is a sweet baby angel who deserves to be protected at all costs. The dad (named Stan) I could only picture as Stanley Tucci and that served me well. Her parents were darling. I want to have life-changingly hilarious conversations with Lulu as my best friend.

I really did love this book. But dammit Truly…

I truly, deeply enjoyed this book! The couple's chemistry and banter was fantastic and felt so real, especially Truly's self-doubt and fears and the discussion of bierasure. This was one of my most anticipated romances of the year and it did not disappoint!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc! Opinions are my own.

Truly is having a rough day after walking in on her fiancé in a compromising situation. . Shortly after she is a guest on a popular podcast with Colin and they have chemistry but immediately clash. Romantic vs realist. Colin tracks her down to apologize and Truly gives him and the podcast another chance. As they get to know each other the chemistry is impossible to ignore.

Enjoyed this story and the supporting characters (Lulu and Caitlin) and wished there was more with them in the last 1/4 of the book. The one piece that was a miss for me was the family tradition of speaking in lyrics. It’s a cute family thing but in the book it distracted me from the story. Luckily it was only in small sections.
