I have been a big fan of all of Bellefleur's previous books, but this one just didn't measure up--despite the gorgeous cover. It had its moments, but the pacing was off (most of the plot happens in the final third). The main characters had sparkling chemistry, which was definitely the best part. But we didn't get to know Colin beyond his intense interest in Truly until nearly the end. For a romance writer writing about a romance writer, there's almost none of her writing life or process in the entire book. A number of plot threads were not resolved, and the ending was abrupt. I'm a little disappointed, but will still read anything Bellefleur writes next.
Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the ARC to review. All opinions are my own.

INFINITY STARS 😭
If Alexandria Bellefleur writes it, I'm going to read it (& love it endlessly)! Every time I think her books can't possibly get any better, they DO.
This is everything I'd hoped for in a queer romance with two bisexual MC's! Truly is a historical romance author and Colin is a family lawyer (read: divorce lawyer). Colin's sister has a popular podcast where she invites Truly & Colin to be guests to give dating advice from their wildly different perspectives. The first take doesn't last long before it gets too heated. It's not quite enemies or rivals to lovers, but Truly definitely doesn't like Colin. But boy does he grovel just to spend time with Truly.
I loved this book so much that I'd read over 50% of it before realizing just how much of the book I'd read. There are so many fun little Swiftie Easter eggs hidden throughout the book. The doormat is my favorite one because holy HECK was that scene HOT. This book is also such a good representation of bisexuality in a "straight appearing" relationship.
Features:
- romance author x lawyer
- forced proximity
- bisexual MC's
- Swiftie Easter eggs
Thank you to NetGalley, Avon Books, and Alexandria Bellefleur for sending me an early copy!

Ahhhhhh the complete bi joy of this book. I loved these doofuses and rooted hard for their love story. There's mutual longing and "not really enemies" to lovers and banter and some light humiliation. Lots of pleasure. I wish there were more about her life as a romance author, but I enjoyed the pacing of this book.

This book was an absolute delight, which isn't at all surprising considering Alexandria Bellefleur wrote. I have already starting raving about this release to my customers by telling them that I have never felt so giddy reading a book. From the laugh out loud moments of secondhand embarrassment to the heartfelt moments of Truly redefining and evolving her definition of Happily Ever After, I enjoyed every moment of the journey. Equal parts sweet and spicy, Truly, Madly, Deeply is on track to be one of my favorite reads of 2024. Can't wait to share this title with our book club!

Lots of love, lots of spice, lots of emotion for Bellefleur's latest hit!
Truly, bestselling romance author, has always believed in love. She's got her parents 30 year long relationship as a role model. Yet coming off a recent ended engagement, she's got some walls up. Colin, a family lawyer, agrees to go in his sister's sex positive podcast with Truly as cohost. Immediately, she realizes he's a pain in her behind that she can't ignore. He's about to show her some love and spark an idea Truly cannot ler go of...including the idea of falling Truly, madly, deeply in love.
Truly, Madly, Deeply is my favorite by Bellefleur. I couldn't stop reading and binged it on just a few days! I love how I immediately could pick up on Colin's feelings for Truly. Colin is a book boyfriend readers need to protect at all costs..a) he's got a fiery mouth and b) he's a sarcastic loveable firecracker. I adored the "oh snap" moments Truly had and couldn't stop laughing at some iconic scenes that'll live rent free in my head for a long time.
Thank you Avon Romance and Netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

3.5*/5
We love a bi for bi romance. I really enjoyed the exploration of Truly's bi identity- I wouldn't exactly call in a main theme of the book, but it was presented in a way that felt very genuine.
I didn't super love the storyline with her parents. Without giving away any details: I get that she wouldn't be told all the details, but it still felt like a weird situation. I don't know that I adored either Colin or Truly, BUT the sex scenes were hot, the writing was clever and funny, and I'll still keep reading whatever Alexandria Bellefleur comes out with next.
Definitely give it a read if you like sex scenes featuring a lady having a really good time and a maybe slightly unrealistically wholesome and eager to please man.
Thanks to NetGalley and Avon for early access.

I was excited about this book despite the fact that the MCs' jobs/clash of opposites premise didn't really appeal to me. What drew me to the book was Bellefleur, mostly, though also the cover. (Though can we talk about the fact that Joe Keery in jeans and a vest seems like a WEIRD model for a divorce lawyer...) Overall, though, the book itself was 'meh' for me, though I know everyone else is loving it. I'm very happy to rec it for others, though, and I'm happy, as ever, for the bisexual representation in these M/F romances.

Alexandria Bellefleur is one of my all-time favorite authors. I love how nearly all her characters are queer. The bisexual representation in this book is incredible. I fell in love with both Truly and Colin and the wonderful cast of characters that surrounded. Truly felt extremely real to me. Her reactions, while sometimes not the best, were 100% believable and I understood where she was coming from even if I wanted to yell at her. Truly and Colin give me the banter I crave in a rom com. Whether it's antagonistic, teasing, or loving, it brought a smile to my face and made me laugh. It’s some of the best banter I’ve read in AGES. I love how Colin and Truly push and challenge each other. How they both back each other up when shit hits the fan with their respective families. I love how they love each other. The communication between them is always clear. Colin and Truly really respect each other. The lack of a third act breakup is also always refreshing, and I fully appreciated the switch up. Those spicy scenes, wow, talk about hot. I think there was steam coming off of my kindle! This is definitely her spiciest book yet and I am totally here for it. I wish we had Colin’s perspective to delve a bit more into his side but I also liked it this way. There was also a lovely amount of Taylor Swift references which, hit every time. I cannot recommend this book enough. Thanks to Alexandria Bellefleur, Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for an e-arc in exchange for my thoughts. I absolutely CANNONT wait until Alexandria publishes her next book.

Truly and Colin are #relationshipgoals! The way they communicate and care for each other is swoon worthy for sure. Truly St. James, romance author, seems to have it all together and believes in romance and the power it can hold. Until her 6 year romance falls apart and her parents perfect 30 year marriage dissolves before her eyes. Truly finds herself on rocky ground with a book deadline looming and a podcast waiting for her words of romantic wisdom, she isn't sure how to move forward or where her life goes from there. Not to mention her counter part on the podcast is Colin McCory Family lawyer (aka divorce lawyer) and local cynic.
I do love the enemies to friends to lovers troupe. It feels appropriately timed and not forced. Colin proves to be not be as big of a cynic as Truly originally thought. He creates a space for her to learn to trust and rely on someone on her own terms. It is a beautiful growth. Each of them have some serious baggage in the form of family members to contend with and they way they support each other was a breath of fresh air. Queer Rom-Com at it's finest. The relationship is HOT and steamy and Colin knows exactly what to say to keep Truly guessing and feeling desired.
I was given an advanced copy courtesy of NetGalley in exchange for my review.

I've read every one of Alexandria Bellefleur's books and I've enjoyed them all. This one is no exception. A romance author and a divorce lawyer getting together makes for an intriguing pairing, especially when it's the romance author whose faith in love has been shaking, first by her fiance cheating on her and then by her parents' separation.
Truly and Colin had some great bantering, and I appreciated Colin's approach to the skittish Truly. I also loved Truly's best friend Lulu. I wish we could have seen more of her.
There are points in the book where things feel a little messy in an unpolished way, but overall, the story and the characters make up for that. The book being as spicy as it is really helps. I was not anticipating some of the flavors of that spice. Truly didn't seem the type, but I loved that she was.
The bi rep is great. I'm always onboard for more bi guy representation. I love that biphobia and bi-invisibility are commented on.
It's a quick, light read that satisfies.

Thank you to Netgalley and publisher for a copy of this book!
Two main characters that happen to be bisexual?! Hell yeah! We love to see bisexual representation within books, along with any other lgbtqia representation!
This is also a a fun, full of banter, and slow burn sexy. Definitely worth the read!

This is such a hard book to write about bc it was kind of simple. Yet I loved it a lot. This authors writing just really works for me. I loved Colin a lot even though he came in hist pants from eating her out lmao. Like I don't have much to say except it was a really solid read. Will definitely read more from this author in the future.

I have not read anything by this author before, but I will definitely be looking out for their work in the future. I loved seeing the story unfold and seeing the characters grow.

Alexandria Bellefleur knows how to make me swoon every single time, and this one did not miss! In the epitome of the he falls first trope, she weaves a stunning tale of finding your true love, even while actively losing faith that true love even exists.
Truly St. James is a romance writer. Fueled by the rose colored glasses love of her parents, she's an absolute believer in the forever fairytale. That is, until she catches her fiancee with his literal pants down and her parents take a "break" from each other. All in the same week. When she appears on her friends podcast as a special guest answering questions about all things love and relationships, she has an epically not so meet cute with her friends brother Colin. The cynical divorce attorney to her starry eyed romance writer made for an explosive meeting that ended with Truly walking out. Well, storming out actually. Not to be deterred, cinnamon roll hero Colin practically falls over himself to apologize and make it up to her. In the process, he falls head over heels for her.
Colin is the swoony sweet cinnamon roll book boyfriend I didn't know I needed. He chases Truly, but slowly and carefully. While he doesn't understand why she's so prickly, he takes his time and gets to know her. He's not put off by her, instead understanding what was wrong and working to show her that true love does exist and not all men are like her cheating ex fiancee.
He finds her quirky family endearing, and goes out of his way to show Truly how beautiful and wonderful and worthy she is. And yall, the banter! 😍 The banter was written romance perfection and the chemistry was so hot I was afraid it would melt my kindle! I loved it! I absolutely adored this beautiful, sexy, spicy, and romantic book. I've loved everything Alexandria has written, but this is easily my new favorite.

I received an advanced copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you to NetGalley, Avon and Harper Voyager, and Alexandria Bellefleur. 💖

This book was a fun read, I really liked the characters and the story was fun and truly as a name was the best, I read this book so fast that I think I may need to read it again just to make sure I didnt miss anything

This was my first Alexandria Bellefleur book and I feel like I've really been missing out! I liked this enemies to frenemies to lovers story about Truly St. James, romance novelist whose long-term relationship blows up right as she's on the way to record a podcast episode responding to listeners' questions about real life relationships. The other guest on the podcast is Colin McCrory, the podcast host's brother and a family law attorney with a largely unromantic views based on his professional experiences with divorce. The two of them clash and Truly leaves before finishing the episode, happy to never have to speak to Colin again. But the next day, Truly's belief in romance is shaken again when her parents, who she sees as the ideal partnership, tell her that they're separating after more than 30 years of marriage. Colin feels guilty about upsetting Truly on the podcast and reaches out to apologize, and the two of them strike up a tentative friendship that very quickly heats up into something more. I really liked Colin and Truly's banter, their vulnerability with one another, the awesome side characters, and the intentional queer representation. I'll definitely be checking out more from Bellefleur.

4.5⭐️ This is by far the HOTTEST traditionally published romance book I have ever read. Colin is so down bad for Truly and I ate it up. He read all her books and compared her to Taylor MF Swift!! From the moment they met their banter and tension was through the roof!! It had me grinning at my kindle the whole time I read. I am BEGGING everyone to add this to their TBR!

This was a LOT of fun and ultimately very sweet. I laughed out loud multiple times throughout. The banter between all the characters--not just the leads--was really great. Truly's relationship with her family and also her friends were really great as well. The discussions of bisexuality and biphobia were really great. Colin is honestly just a really great and supportive love interest (especially in regards to the bisexuality aspect). The spice, for me, was top of the charts. LOVED it.
There were a few things, though, that kept this from being a 5 star, for me. For one thing, there were too many B-plots and this book didn't feel nearly long enough to wrap them all up in a satisfying way. There was an attempt, certainly, but it didn't always completely work. The ending, too, could've been a bit tighter in how it was wrapped up. I think, at least for the B-plot, this book would've benefitted for a dual-POV narrative. You get the tiniest little peek at Colin's POV, but only in the epilogue. I wanted more! It also would've really opened up even more avenues to explore his and Truly's relationship.
But those are really just minor criticisms. I still highly recommend this and will definitely be picking up a finished copy when it releases.

AHHHHH!!!! Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.
This. Was. So. Good! I enjoyed The Fiancee Farce and so was already anticipating this one, but boy did it deliver! Another reviewer shared on Twitter (sorry, X) that they were reading it + a quote that just grabbed me. I had just gotten approved for an ARC and knew I needed to dive right in.
Colin gets off on quite the wrong foot with Truly, but to be fair, he didn't know she had just broken up with her fiancé because she found him cheating on her. A lot of the time, I feel like authors don't have characters put in the work to come back from a bad first impression, but Colin *swoons*. He knows he messed up, even if he isn't entirely sure how/why, and knows he needs to fix it. If not for his own sake (he crushes on Truly hard and fast), then for his sister, who wants Truly to come back to her podcast. Colin has become my new standard for romance heroes. He is obsessed with Truly (as she deserves) and his actions show that.
Truly is also amazing. She's a queer romance author (which, by the way, both main characters are bisexual) and is finding lots of success in her career. In her personal life? Not so much. Even when I was cringing at her choices (maybe don't try to Parent Trap your parents) I was still rooting for her.
My one little quibble was less with her and more with a thing the author decided not to show. There's a comment made about her instagram and having to share that she broke up with her fiancé. I would have loved a sub-feature of the book with her instagram posts, maybe between chapters. We could get one where she announces she's breaking up with what's-his-face, one for the podcast, at the lake house, etc. Maybe Colin starts showing up in them, and commenters note the sparks flying! I think it would be a fun way to A) make the book stand out even more and B) show more of Truly's author side. It is by no means necessary to the plot (though I would have liked some follow-up to the specific comment), but it would make me happy.

Wow, this got DIRTY! I was not expecting it! I loved the 'enemies to lovers' vibes and Truly was such a good MC. Colin was a fantastic love interest as well. The writing was good, the chemistry was amazing - another fantastic read!
