This was such an incredible story with lots of heart, encouragement and openness about domestic abuse and alcohol abuse. But it was so good. I want to read the rest in this series.
I just reviewed Thanksgiving in Welcombe Bay by Kate Darroch. #ThanksgivinginWelcombeBay #NetGalley

Thanksgiving in Welcombe Bay is a cute novel. It's light on the romance and heavy on the Christianity, which I wish wasn't the case. I don't mind religion in romance, but it shouldn't be the hallmark of the entire story. I struggle with addiction stories especially revolving around religion, because it's often a "say sorry to God and you're healed' situation, but I did appreciate that the author didn't have that approach in this book.
Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this novel!
thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.
A very heartfelt book but many triggers in this couple's story. Altogether a good love story of overcoming the worst.
I wanted to enjoy this book. I really tried hard, because the plot was good/different. But the book jumped around and didn't make sense a lot of times. I got confused & couldn't keep up. Maybe it was me, but this book was a miss.
Cute, fun read. Really enjoyed this book. Cannot wait for more from this author. must read book and will read more.

Was guessing from the title and cover that this was more light hearted in theme. Sadly, a bit heavy and depressing at times, especially in the beginning. Still though, worth the read and would recommend. Everyone deserves a second chance.
I read this at the perfect time. I read it right around thanksgiving and it gave me all the feels. The romance was so sweet and the setting was perfect
I really disliked the way the book was set up as conversations. I did not finish the book and deleted it.
This talented author has written a sweet novel with not so sweet themes. An alcoholic and a victim of a hapless marriage…secrets…friends and family…this is a quick read. Realistic characters keep the story moving quickly. Curl up in a comfy chair with a cup of steaming herbal tea and become lost in this story. An afternoon of looking at life through these characters. Thanks Netgalley.
