I wanted to like this book but god.. I just feel like everyone is trying to put tittles with Taylor swift songs..

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this eARC in exchange for an honest reviews. All opinions are my own.
I love everything this was compared to but it didn’t work for me.

I really wanted to love this as i love all things gilmore girls, taylor swift and romance. However i found the writing style really irritating and it made it hard to follow the story at times. This ruined the book for me unfortunately

Unfortunately this one wasn’t one that I liked. I thought with the Gilmore Girls tagline I would like. But to me it was more of the second part of that tagline Sweet Home Alabama a more I hate. And I kept hearing Taylor Swift music as I read it, but then the title should have given that one away.

Such a true and raw look at living with a chronic illness. Aside from the love story aspect of the novel (which was super sweet and you could feel the longing and chemistry!), Krysti was able to show that Quinn had more going on than just her love life. She has to figure out her career, learn to live with imperfections and control what she can, and see how she'll pay for her medications. I love that the focus wasn't simply 'i need a boyfriend/man to help take care of me'.
The beginning of the novel hit home since we are planning my high school reunion. How awkward it will be to see everyone from high school and not really having much to talk about since graduation definitely hit home!

First off the cover of this book is stunning! I think that’s what grabbed my attention first. Then reading the synopsis I knew I had to read it! You had all of my favorite tropes! Loved that. I loved the Taylor swift references! Quick fun read!
I’ would recommend to all of my friends.
I mean who doesn’t love Gilmore Girls and Sweet Home Alabama vibes!!!
Thank you for the ARC!!

Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie ich dieses Buch bewerten soll, da ich es aufgrund relativ kurzer Ausleihdauer (ohne Verlängerung) nicht lesen konnte.

A light, fun, quick read. I didn't necessarily feel the chemistry between Quinn and Ty but their relationship worked. Another fun read by Krysti Meyer. Can't wait to see what she writes next.

Really good read about a 2nd chance romance. She's working on making her name for herself in a small town helping people with her baking and her ex has come back to town!
It was short of sweet whilst still being able to cover issues about our MFC chronic illness and how misdiagnoses' can effect a person and the affects it can have on daily tasks. I felt like this book really handled this topic very well as it can us a good feeling on what it must be like to live with a chronic illness whilst still giving her hopes, dreams and having a good feel for the character

Unfortunately this didn’t work for me. Both characters felt a little too immature, especially the FMC. the family drama wasn’t really present besides a couple passing comments/mentions and the chemistry just wasn’t enough.
I really enjoyed the idea of them having to put together a town festival and I was super intrigued by the FMCs medical condition and how she was navigating that but romance wise it just wasn’t believable for the two of them to get back together.

Thank you Netgalley for thus ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book is really sweet! Sweet little second chance romance for nice summer day. It has small town new adult vibes.
If you're looking for a quick, sweet, fluffy read this is for you. Though I liked it a lot, I'd say this sort of book is more for new adults.

This was my first experience reading something by this author. It was a cute, small town, second chance love story and I found it to be quite entertaining. I didn't pick this up for a deeply emotional read, but more of a light, fun, quick read and that is exactly what I got. Quinn is working towards her dream of owning her own business. But first, she has to help with the town's Founder's Festival, which wouldn't be so bad except she is roped into hosting it with her ex, Ty, who broke her heart years ago. They haven't seen each other in years, and now that they are forced to work together, underlying tempers find their way to the surface but beneath it all sparks undoubtedly fly between them and old feelings begin to resurface.
Although t I think there could've been a bit more chemistry between Quinn and Ty, the characters were a cute and believable couple. I also appreciated the fact that Quinn had a chronic illness, which the author was trying to bring more awareness to. Overall, a pleasant and entertaining read.
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

ARC Read:
I did not enjoy this overall and found myself avoiding reading it for the last 20% or so (about 35mins reading time per my kindle reading speed). It would do well with an editor and some things were fairly predictable. There’s times where details change like colors and objects in someone’s hand (from a Stanley to a Hydroflask and back again) and missing quotation marks here and there. This definitely has a YA feel to it and would be best for younger readers, maybe 13-15. I didn’t find the female main character Quinn to be very likable, though I enjoyed Ty and Lucia as side/background characters. It just felt very teenage to me, which I’m sure was probably the intent. I’m not the intended audience. Still, it stands that it needs some better editing. I don’t mind the self-insertion of Quinn’s MCAS, but if there’s insertion like this I feel like it would be better to explain the disorder for the reader to better understand. As someone who’s never heard of it before, it just sounds like severe debilitating allergies to me, and I’m not sure if that’s accurate or not. Still, Quinn and Ty’s relationship is very middle-school for being characters in their 20s.

I’m not a fan of the second-chance romance trope and this book reminded me again as to why. I’m also not a fan of Taylor Swift, so that did add to the feel of the book too. I didn’t like the characters and the annoyance meter stayed on high. The romance between the characters didn’t seem convincing or real, especially considering their past. None of the secondary characters stood out either and none helped amplify the story.

The premise of the book was interesting but the execution didn’t manage to pull it off.
This is a second chance romance where the FMC is a chronic illness rep and the MMC is the class clown. Both MCs would constantly end up winding each other up so there was all this tension but it just felt forced.
To be honest I didn’t like either of them the FMC was alright but the MMC was immature still throwing pranks like he’s still in school.
Definitely not for me.
Thanks netgalley for providing the ARC.

Super sweet and wonderful second chance romance. I throughly enjoyed this book and will be looking forward to reading Meyer's next story too!

This story was a nice read.
It's about two ex-lovers who are forced to work together to make the annual festival a success. When Quinn is working hard to make her dream of owning her own business come true, she has forgotten about ex Ty. But then suddenly he shows up in his hometown and they bump into each other. Trying to keep their distance they ultimately can't do so anymore because they both want to help their friend in need. And to help their friend, they will have to work together.
A lot happens and they can't deny the tension between them. So as the story continues things are getting cleared and who knows what else might happen? Things just aren't always what they seem and Quinn and Ty both learn this, perhaps the hard way.
I gave the book 3 stars. As I said, it was a fun read.

DNF...
The main character Quinn and Ty did not feel complete. To me they had no personality and I found myself annoyed with them. Their reason for breaking up felt very juvenile. I just did not care to keep reading about them as I felt they had no spark together.

Super sweet and wonderful. I throughly enjoyed this book and will be looking forward to reading Meyer's next story too!

This book leaned more into a YA vibe rather than an adult romance.
I did want to really like this book but I couldn't finish it. Ty seemed a little immature to me and while I loved the representation of an auto immune disorder, it was mentioned almost every other page. I did like Quinn and got the vibe that she could do better than some of the people she went to school with.
Thanks to NetGalley for the e-ARC of this book. This review is my own opinion.
