Philippa Carr is a pseudonym for Victoria Holt - so if you adore Holt's books (as I do), than you will greatly enjoy these. These have a little more history to them - they take place in different times in British history, and they are all seperate tales (so you can read them out of order) - and they are all so GOOD! Romance, intrigue, with a little taste of the gothic feel to them, I devoured these!
